HOME DEPOT

Project took over one month from purchase to final installation. Subcontractor - Precision Counter - botched installation. Used sink template to measure but did not dry fit for sink fixtures. Cut hole and then realized the medicine cabinet doors hit fixtures - and only because I checked before they left! . Moved sink as much as possible but doors still hit. Did not seem to care. I had to bring in another contractor to fix the problem by setting fixture off center and shaving down doors - I still only have a 1/16 inch clearance. Wrote a letter of complaint to Home Depot and never heard back. Used them in the first place to save money but the turn around time and customer service are so below par that it wasn't worth the savings. Never want to see installers in my home again. Very disappointed!

I called Home Depot about setting up an appointment to get more details on their offering. Martine Silvas called me back and we set up a time that was convenient for us. Martine was wonderful to work with. She came fully prepared. Even had a sample window for us to see. She gave us estimates for 2 different grades of windows in that meeting with no pressure to buy the more expensive one. She even called us a week later to let us know that there was a sale on the brand we were thinking about. Great customer service. We haven't had the windows installed yet but hope that the same customer service extends to the work performed.

THE PEOPLE IN THE STORE DON'T SEEM TO BE AS WELL QUALIFIED AS WHAT I THINK THEY SHOULD BE. I WAS JUST LOOKING FOR A QUICK FIX, SO I DIDN'T NEED A HIGH QUALITY CARPET. IF I NEEDED HIGHER QUALITY CARPETS, I WOULDN'T GO THERE. THEY USE SOME KIND OF SERVICE OUTSIDE OF HOME DEPOT BUT IT'S ALL BILLED THROUGH THEM. IT WENT OK.

BOTH TIMES WE RENTED EQUIPMENT FROM THEM, THERE WAS NO PROBLEM. IT WAS INEXPENSIVE, CLOSE TO OUR HOME AND DID THE JOB. BY RENTING THE TRUCK, WE SAVED A BIG DELIVERY FEE. WE ORIGINALLY WERE GOING TO BUY A LADDER BUT DIDN'T REALLY NEED IT EXCEPT FOR THAT ONE JOB.
