Decided not to use him
Description of Work: Called him for a stucco damage on the exterior of the property, instead of coming out looking at the job, he wanted pictures, after I send him the pictures his estimate was on form of a 3 line via text. After I requested the estimate in writing, I was informed there is a $60.00 non refundable charge if I don't use him I opted to go with a different company.

The customer should understand that patchwork is easily bid through pictures. I don't remember him but if he would've chosen us he certainly would've given us and A review. Not all Jobs require a site visit he may have had wax in his ear, because the $60 is always credited back to the customer when awarded the job. It's not really fair that he is able to post an F review when the work wasn't performed & just because he didn't like the bid .

Description of Work: Unknown at the time, sandblasting done by a subcontractor whom caused damage to property. Finally resolving issue to my satisfaction through Hillside was distasteful and unprofessional experience. Too bad, because the stucco price was good and quality of work was very good.

Yes, the sand blaster masked off areas to blast and when tape was removed it pulled some topical stain from his concrete about 5 to 6 1 & 2 inch areas. Sorry about that. [Member name removed] wanted us to pay for a re stain on his entire backyard. When i noticed stain had peeled off about 15 other areas that were not near our work, I took Video of all areas and he was not happy with my findings. We worked it out. As a A rating contractor we hope for complete honesty when reviews are written. His job was beautiful....

Description of Work: They repaired some areas of stucco on my house. They did a good job. The color wasn't perfect but acceptable. They were supposed to give me an estimate to do some touch up painting but never did get back to me.

Even though the process is explained, Its likely that there was a misunderstanding on what to expect. It would be a fluke if you did not have to paint patches on an already painted house. My job scope was to patch walls with color given by owner and get it ready for a whole house paint job which was to be done by another. I Appreciate the work from James B. Ray Smith

Excellent job.
Description of Work: Our wall had a large hole as the shower had been replaced. Once Hillside finished plastering, you couldn't tell where the hole had been. It is an older house......."orange peel" wall. Beautifully done job.

Ray and his crew did an excellent job with the installation of weep screed and re-stucco. I got compliments from the painter who's painting my house. The thing I was amazed about was how clean the area was after they were finished. I am very happy.
Description of Work: I had weep screed applied to the underside of my garage. I also had them re-stucco the portions of the garage where the weep screed was installed.

They were on time everyday and kept us posted on everything from the start to completion. Upon completion we had the house appraised and it appraised for 200,000 more that we expected.
Description of Work: Kitchden remodel, did layout , replastered walls with a color finish. From start to finish they were responsible for total remodel.

They did a amazing job of blending the new areas patched to the original stucco so that you couldn't tell that the new doors and windows weren't original to the house. On the inside we were going to cover the red brick fireplace with drywall to cover the tired look of painted white bricks, And Ray Smith the owner suggested to cover it over with white Venetian plaster. It was one of the best Ideas ever, it turned out so beautiful it Transformed the whole living room to a more modern place that we were looking for, and to match the new kitchen. They were very meticulousness in keeping clean the ares they worked in and cleaning up after they had completed all work.
Description of Work: Stucco repair for remodel and addition. New windows and doors, and plastered over red brick fireplace on the interior with Venetian plaster.
