Accent Awnings

Everything went great. The installers were even early and finished in less than a couple of hours. Very nice and professional. We would not hestitate to recommend this company to our friends and neighbors. 4/7/12 - This is a revision to my previous review. We only had this shade up for 2 days, when it malfunctioned. I called the office and left a message before the office opened at 8:00am. I explained that we only had the shade for 2 days and that we didn't know what the problem was, but could someone call back and let me know whether they would need access to the house or could they take care of it from just the outside. By 9:30 I had not received a call back, so I called them. I felt by that time I should have heard back, since I explained I needed to know whether I needed to leave work early or not. They came out at 7:30am the following morning, Friday 3/30/12. I was told the problem was that the original frame was not cut properly, which caused it to hit against the house and also caused the material to become stretched out from trying to roll it up and down. Needless to say we were not happy to hear that the job was not done properly the first time. They had to take the shade down, test it and re-cut the fabric. We got it re-installed on Thursday, 4/5. I read the reviews on this company and decided to go with them based on these reviews, as well as the price. While we do like the shade and it does look nice, we aren't completely happy with the overall experience. The installers are on-time, in fact they arrive early, which is certainly appreciated. However, not pleased with the lack of responsiveness to my initial call or the fact that we had to had the work re-done. I was told, this malfunction 'never happens or shouldn't happen'. Well, unfortunately it did. It seems difficult these days to get something done right the first time. It would have been nice to be offered something for our inconvience and time, but we weren't. The shade does look nice and we have received many compliments on it, hopefully this time it will last longer than 2 days.

I was replacing an old wood awning that had seen better days. I found Accent Awnings on Angie's list and and decided to use them because of their consistently high scores and they were in my neighborhood. The salesperson came out when he said he would, and spent about an hour talking to me about what I wanted and showing me the different options that were available. It took a couple of weeks to manufacture, and they were able to arrange for a weekend installation so I wouldn't have to take a day off work. I was amazed at how quickly they installation went, and at how nice it looked. I was very impressed with how professional this company is and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Accent Awnings to friends and neighbors.

The process went well. Accent Awnings' quote was in the middle of the three quotes I got, but their reputation and reviews seemed better than the lower priced quote. The fabric they offer is Sunbrella, and that seems to be the industry standard. All companies I spoke to offered the same Sunbrella fabrics. So far I am happy with the look and installation. I will update the review if anything changes.

after checking with another company, I chose accent and sent them a check for one half of the amount of the awnings As requested. I was advised that it would be a 3 to 4 week delivery schedule. I was called within that timeframe and the awnings were installed on the day that we had agreed upon. The installers arrived at the time that was selected. They were polite, and did a good job of installing the awnings. I am very pleased with the awnings and with the company. I would use their company again if I needed additional awnings. If

Mike provided an estimate; which was nearly identical to the estimate we received from another provider. We went with the other provider because the were able to repair our existing awning -- which reduced the price considerably. We would have considered Accent Awning if they had offered the repair service.

They started the work a month ago and completed it yesterday. They were very professional. They knew their product well and they knew how to differentiate their product from other product offerings. The person that was here had lots of experience in the awning business; it was probably 20 years. They did a very professional job on the installation although they were a week to two weeks late on when they said they would install. The actual final product was excellent.

Overall, my experience with them was fine. They seemed fine, and the estimate seemed fair. I did not use them because their estimate was a little bit higher than somebody else that I had worked with before. I would consider using them again in the future.

We did not use this company for our awning

The price was less than the other awnings we had looked at. They were good. The quality of their work was good. They called me whenever I called them. I would use them in the future.

They were friendly on the phone. They gave a very competitive quote, but they weren’t the cheapest. They were a little late; they got here about an hour after they said they would. Other than that, it seemed like they would be great to work with. The estimate was free, and I would consider using them again in the future.

We did not spend any money with the estimate. We are considering it for the future. They were very professional. They didn't try to push anything. There was no hard sell. We felt comfortable getting the estimate and possibly using them in the future.

I contacted over the phone first, then sent an e-mail with picture of what need to be done.Sales rep contacted me in a timely manner to set up an appointment.Called to remind me couple days before the appointment date, follow up with phone call same day of service to ensure worker showed up.Work was done professionaly, service is excellentDuring the final installation, company sent two worker with Mike who was ove rsaw the work and done paper work.Mike was a very professional man with sincer mannerism about customer and the job. He was more specific then other companies I had looked at about what he could.

I called the company and had an appt set up right away. I even got a confirmation call the day before the appt. Jim got to the job site on time and was very polite. Unfortunately, Accent Awning does not do aluminum awnings. I did not know that when I set up the appt. I was not asked if the awnings were canvas or metal. That was disappointing, but Jim did give me two other numbers to call that did do metal awnings. That made up for time I lost. As a matter of fact, Jim went so far as to measuare the awnings and pass along info to one of the companies he suggested I call. I got a call from one of them today. Eventhough it would of been great to know that Accent Awnings does not do metal awnings from the beginning, Jim more than made up for that goof by refering me to someone and making the intial contact with that company. If I need canvas awnings, I will surely give them a call because they are professional and the service people are very very polite.

I am very happy with the quality of the product installed and the installation process. I would recommend this company without hesitation

They were responsive. They have done work for us for many years. We were having some issues with the age of our equipment and so forth. We had very large awnings which they removed. They put it on the side until we got our roof done, which took a while. It's not their fault, but they resolved our issue. They were not cheap, but were also not expensive. They were cost competitive. We were pleased with them.

It went well. I used this company 10 years ago when the awning fabric had to be replaced. So I used them again. I only replaced the two "holey" awnings although encouraged to do the remaining 3 awnings. Since those awnings looked good I didn't. One of the nice things was that they still carry the same color/pattern combinations from 10 years earlier. I should have listened to their suggestion about the other awnings, though. The one in the front of the house (most visible to neighbors!) is now showing the same "holey" patches. With this economy, I will have to wait until next spring or summer to replace the rest of the awnings.

I got two different opinions from the company on how to best make my project work. I ended up going with the second one and am so happy. They fabricated the awnings and when they were ready a couple of weeks later, 2 guys came out to install them. They were quick and cleaned up after themselves. I was very pleased.

Great service, very professional. Very helpful with regard to our very difficult HOA rules.

They were very good, but they were not from this area. The awning is wonderful and is made out of fabric. It has a center space for sun and wind. It goes in and out depending on the environmental conditions. I don?t have to manually operate and I can turn it off too. If the wind gets higher than 20 miles an hour, then it will retract. When the sun hits a certain spot, the awning goes out. When the sun goes behind the big trees that I have, then the awning retracts and then it comes out again. At about 6:30 in the evening it retracts for the night. The people who came out were really good. The awning was for a 10 feet window and it?s mounted on the 3 foot roof overhang. It extends out 10 feet over the patio. It?s a big awning and I think it?s about 30 feet long. I have a light on the patio and they used that same electrical outlet when they hooked it up. The light stopped working about 3 or 4 months ago and I had never used that light for a long time. They came out when I called them and realized that they hadn?t connected a wire correctly. So they redid the whole process and also installed a new light fixture for me at no charge. They took care of everything and it?s a great company. They also had a company from Phoenix observing the whole process when they were installing it and it was a company that was interested in doing the same kind of operation. My daughter and son-in-law had used their services about 3 to 4 years ago. They were very pleased with the service and that?s the reason why I selected them. I would use their services in the future too.

They called us back to set up an appointment. They came out a little bit later than our appointment was set at. They were nice. The price seemed to be pretty reasonable.

The company came out to give me an estimate and measure the unit, not really necessary since I had bought it from them in the first place. The price was just shy of $850 for the fabric alone. Three weeks later, after calling for an appointment, two workers showed up, removed the old fabric from the awning and installed the new fabric. They also cleaned the dirt off the metal arms that hold the awning to the side of the house and those that actually retract the awning.

I cannot say enough about Accent Awnings team of workers. They were quiet, clean, friendly and efficient. They answered all our questions, adjusted the awnings height as we tweaked up and down without question and when the wind meter did work on the first windy day, they returned the next day to fix it, no questions asked. The company was easy to work with and the awnings have a great guarantee. The workmanship and sewing is second to none. I looked at other companies product and found Accent to be the best!

SINCE WE HAD DONE BUSINESS WITH THEM BEFORE, IT WAS REALLY EASY. IT WAS REALLY EASY WHEN THEY INSTALLED THEM ORIGINALLY. THEY WORKED AT OUR CONVENIENCE AND OUR SCHEDULE. WE DID NOT FEEL LIKE WE GOT RIPPED OFF.
