Accent Awnings

We had an excellent experience with Accent Awning. The sales representative was very knowledgeable and assisted us in choosing the style and colors. He was patient and did not pressure us. The installer went above and beyond our expectations. He had a very pleasant personality and went the extra mile to insure that we were happy with the installation and appearance of the hardware. Materials and hardware used by Accent are high quality and prices are competitive.

They look beautiful! Very professional. They came out and measured and asked a lot of questions. The awnings are beautiful, even still 2 years later. Very easy to take care of. The color samples are great and we matched the house paint perfectly. Wish I would have done this years and years ago.

I was pleased with the salesman who came out and provided the estimate for the electric awning and recovering of two old awning frames. Mike Beck was professional and the family-run business seemed to be professionally managed and was well-presented. The estimate was comparable to another firm's estimate, but I was more assured by the answered to my questions (an outdoor electrical line would be put in a conduit which the others didn't think necessary) and the fabric was certified Sunbrella. The large awning came with automatic sensors so that it rolls out in the sun and rolls back at night or when the shaking from the wind gets too extreme. It appears to be very well constructed and I hope will last a long time. Lead time estimates were accurate and the awning was installed without a hitch. They also came back and adjusted the angle for free after I realized I'd asked for it in the wrong place the first time around.

They were superior. They did everything they were going to do and then some. They were prompt for the appointment and cleaned up well after themselves.

The initial contact with their office was with Edna, who was pleasant and efficient. She gets the ball rolling! Our sales rep was Mike, who could not have more pleasant, helpful and easy to deal with. The awnings were custom made and delivered within the time frame we were given (approx three weeks from the order date). The installers arrived exactly on time and had the awnings and remote up and running within the 3 hours they projected, tidying up what little residue (from drilling) was produced. Every step of the process, from initial contact for the estimate to the final paperwork, was smoothly and pleasantly handled.

The initial estimate was given in November and we ordered it after getting HOA approval. The estimator was very helpful - even stating that one or two features I'd initially wanted were not necessary in our case, thereby saving us some expense. He did not try to "oversell" us. The firm was accurate in the estimated time for construction and installed the finished product within the 2-3 week initially estimated time frame.

The job went great. It actually came sooner than the time frame we were given. The workers were more than polite and extremely professional.

They were very professional in scheduling the appointment, and showing up on time. However, because we have the future patio still as an enclosed room (we will remove it so that it will become open-air), they couldn't give us a true-cost estimate. I completely understood that it was because they couldn't be accurate with knowing how it would attach to the house, etc, since we still have the room enclosed. He was very helpful, explaining what they would need in order to give us a better estimate, so hopefully when we're ready to move forward, we will give them another call.

I was very pleased with them. When estimator came out for the quote he was very professional & thorough. I liked everything about the whole presentation. They had a lower price - about $200 less - than the other company I checked on for the exact same product as well.

We are pleased we chose Accent Awnings and found the staff at the San Diego (Miramar Rd) location to be very helpful when we began making decisions to purchase the awning. Upon ordering, they said it would be 3-4 weeks. It was. One of the anchors didn't take on the initial installation which wasn't a big deal. When another crew from accent awnings came out to "fix it", they did a poor job. We were really upset and we let them know how we felt with a letter and pictures. Robert Stewart handled our complaint swiftly and with class. We are thrilled with the final product and we enjoy our awning on a daily basis. We couldn't feel better about selecting this company over the others we interviewed/got quotes for. When a company stands by their product and service as Accent Awnings did, it just makes your feel good all over! We had done a ton of research when we choose Accent Awnings. It paid off. Thanks also to the Santa Ana office, scheduling service dates and times was also a breeze. This company has good communication with one another and its customers! Thank You Robert, Adam and Edna. We love our backyard awning and all the shade it provides our patio. As a bonus, our grand room also feels much cooler on these hot San Diego summer days.

There was a little mix up on what they were going to do on the valance in the rear of the building. I wanted the numbers "148" painted on the existing valance in the parking lot because our customers have a difficult identifying our building from the alley. I recall the salesman Mike telling me that it would be baked on in enamel. In the end, they said it wasn't possible without creating a new valance, which may not match the existing fabric. So we did not have it done and they brought it back and re-installed it.

They were great; they were very nice and very polite. However, I didn't have the paperwork available to me because of construction work going on and I felt they should of followed up better. I chose to go with another company because of their constant follow up on the estimate. Looking back, I would of went with Accent Awnings after the experience I had with the other company.

Accent Awning really had a challenge with our project. We had 3 to 4 color changes before the project was complete and there were several intricate measurements necessary due to the fact our home has several angles and slopes to contend with. The initial awning that was installed was good (and probably would have been more than adequate for most), but we have a family of perfectionist. With complete courteous professionalism, they took down the whole thing, rebuilt the frames, re-cut the fabric and the installers were here all day contending with our requests to “Move an 1/8” here, Move an 1/8” there.” We are forever grateful to Accent Awning for not just installing a quality awning, but creating a true work of art for our home. A glitch-free process from beginning to end, and we couldn't be happier with the result. Mike, who came out and surveyed our patio and provided the estimate, was a real pro and a pleasure to work with. The installation crew, Waldo and Elmar, arrived very promptly, and communicated with us about what they were doing. They really know their stuff, and worked quickly and professionally. You can't even notice the cable conduit outside (we elected to have the controls outside rather than in the house) because they painted it to match the exterior of our home. I would recommend this firm without a moment's hesitation. They provide a high quality product, coupled with superb customer service. What's not to love?

I think it’s family-owned and they really take pride in their work. I’ve gotten to know the salesperson and he comes out and measures. They’re great. They stand by their product. They call and confirm appointments. They are absolutely great. If all businesses were like accent awning, we would have no lawsuits! They take such pride in their work!
