The contractor responded quickly to my inquiry to have a meeting to assess the work and he arrived on time for our consultation. He provided the cost estimate and settled on a schedule with no hassle. He was extremely cordial and professional. The staff showed up on time and did excellent layout and prep work. They worked around a few problems with the weather and finished the job in excellent time all things considered. They were neat, clean, energetic, and efficient. When the job was competed they cleaned up everything and performed a few "touch-up" items that my wife pointed out with courtesy and enthusiasm. Overall opinion: Good people, decent price, and a satisfactory job.

If you?re planning to hire out your painting project, without question, this is the company you want. We are extremely pleased with the job they did. When another contractor we used commented that he tries to use the best painters for his jobs, and that Duration Painting is the one he trusts the most, we knew we made the right choice. After over 30 years, the interior paint in our home was in dire need of a face lift. Based on reviews on Angie?s List, we chose Duration Painting, and did not regret it. During the walk through of our home, we were put at ease that everything we wanted done would be taken care of. In fact, we were informed they would do any necessary dusting of the walls, baseboards, and patching before the painting began. And they would paint our adobe brick fireplace, which would brighten up the family room. Our most difficult decision was what color to paint the walls, and we labored over this for weeks. We called the owner of Duration Painting, Mike Culy, who came over and gave us three shades of a color to choose from that he said we should use. Amazing, in 5 minutes we had our decision. Mike was right. Now that we see the end result, we wouldn?t want any other color. It?s absolutely beautiful. The painters assigned to our project were wonderful. They were patient with our questions, complied with our instructions, and were highly professional and personal. We were impressed that some of the painters had been with the company for 10 years or more. We were also having new carpeting installed for our project, so we included in the contract with Duration Painting that they come back after the carpet was installed to do any necessary touch up painting. This was one of the best decisions we made. Any nicks or scrapes made by the new carpet insulation were corrected and now the house looks brand new from top to bottom. Bottom line, Duration Painting exceeded our expectations in every way. They used quality paint, did everything we asked, showed up early and cleaned up each day, and finished the job early. Their workmanship is excellent, and worth every penny. We will definitely use them again.

Let me just get to the point first!!!!! This company you NEED to hire!!!!!!!!!!! The crew is polite and wanting to help you be satisfied. They do the job correct the first time and if there is anything you are not happy with, they will fix for you. The owner is concerned about the finished job and walks around the finished job to make sure work is done right. I called other compays that gave me ridiculus prices and Mike said "I can't see that price being so high" he gave me an est and I was onboard. I can't stress how much of a good company this is from the owner to the crew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Painting is no clean project, but this is the company you should and better hire!!!!!

power washing and Masking the windows and trim took 2 days. They started painting on Tuesday and finished on Friday. The job was well done. I am satisfied with the overall job.

They came in and quickly masked areas needing masking, and began work when promised, and finished as promised. There were a couple of areas which needed touch-up or paint drops (not on floors) and they came out and took care of everything promptly. Would gladly call again if additional painting is necessary.

Excellent work-very pleased with the work done

Mike was professional on giving us his estimate for painting the exterior of our home. He was very helpful with finalizing the colors we picked out. The job was done efficiently and they completed the job quickly once started. We did have a problem with one area but Mike took care of the problem quickly and to our satisfaction. We are very pleased with the final painting job and would definitely call on Duration Painting for future painting projects.

Everything looks amazing and much better than we had expected. Our cabinets were 1990 oak with significant wear. We had considered refacing or replacing, but wanted to maintain the era look of the house. Also, the cost was a factor. Mike seemed confident that he could make the cabinets look new, and that is exactly how they look. We were very pleased and love the quality look of the kitchen. We also wanted the classic look of the dark stain rails and white spindles on the stairs. I did not know what to expect and it seemed that it would be a tedious and precise project. Again, we were beyond pleased with the result. Mike and his crew are very professional, honest, personable, punctual. The taped and covered everything and were careful not get paint, dust or debris on the house. Their clean-up is excellent and they will touch up if needed. The project took about 10 days. I will definitely have Mike and his crew back for any other painting jobs!

Did an excellent job, help move the furniture, did not make a mess. They were very organized, and on time. When they did our kitchen cabinets they painted the doors in the garage and did not leave a mess in the garage or the kitchen. We could not believe how well everything was done. We look forward to using them again.

The paint job they did on the cabinets was awesome. They sanded the outside, they painted the inside of the drawers. When we called them back for the bedrooms I thought it was to small of a job for them but they came right out and again did a awesome job. No paint was left on the floors, they help move the furniture. I will definitely call them back on our next paint job.

Mike was very helpful and honest in providing us information about our options. His estimate was prompt and fair. We have not had the entire project done yet, but he was able to do the bathroom early at our request. We appreciated the effort he made to do that. The bathroom looks great and was just as we discussed. I look forward to the completion of the project which includes kitchen cabinet refinishing and painting/staining the stair spindles.

took ~ 21 working days. I work from home and they were not obtrusive. was still able to work in spite of all the painting going on. Everything was spray painted with several layers including primer, paint and topcoat. Some cabinets were done with a distressed finish requiring an extra sanding step. The doors and drawers were removed and painted in the garage (which was covered in plastic). Everything else was prepped with plastic sheeting and paper for spraying indoors. Sergio and Alex did a super job. Not cheap but quality work so worth it.

After spending the better part of one month repainting a child's bedroom, we figured repainting the rest of the house would be best left to professionals and we could not be happier working with Mike and the Duration Painting (DP) crew. We sought three quotes for the job from contractors in the area and DP came across as the most professional and very close in price. After bidding the job, Mike came to our house on two additional occasions to select colors and iron out the details. One of the things that sold me on DP was the many fine examples of refinished cabinets that Mike brought with him. Ultimately, we decided on a mocha glaze option (cream color cabinet faces with brown accenting). I took a little extra time and effort to drill holes for new cabinet hardware (originally the cabinets did not come with any) and select some matching knobs and pulls. The end result is outstanding. I work from home so I was able to keep close tabs on the progress and can testify that a lot of work went into preparation and refinishing kitchen cabinets. Half of our two-car garage was converted to a paint booth and the DP crew was careful to mask/protect all surfaces. We elected to go with a less expensive option for the bathroom cabinetry but in retrospect, it would have been money well-spent to refinish the bathroom cabinetry to the same level that we did for the kitchen. I think I met with Mike a third time to finalize the exterior color (we just couldn't make up our minds). He helped color match a couple of homes in our neighborhood before we finally agreed on a color that we are 100% happy with. Mike did a good job of keeping track of potentially adverse weather issues and one day of work had to be rescheduled due to rain. A 2nd DP crew performed all of the exterior work while the same crew that refinished the cabinets worked to repaint the interior wall, ceilings, doors and trim. There were a few areas inside and out which required some additional attention in the way of repairs and the repair and re-texture work that they did is difficult, if not impossible, to detect. We initially were not receptive to having an 'accent' wall in our living room but we are happy with the wall/color recommended to us. A lot of care was taken to protect surfaces we did not want paint on and all lines where two different colors meet (walls to ceilings) were left very sharp-just as you would expect professionals to do. All in all, our only regret was not calling DP sooner.

The owner, Mike Culy, was responsive and came promptly to look at our place and give a bid. He also answered our questions and responded to requests for suggestions and options regarding shade, finish, and trim. He was able to schedule the job to accommodate our rather tight timeline for several jobs. The two-man crew arrived promptly on the appointed day and went right to work. They were careful to avoid drips and spills and used drop cloths and careful masking. The job was finished in two days and the painters cleaned up thoroughly and left us unused paint for future touch-up work.

Mike Culy was prompt in coming out to my home. He was very professional and personable. We discussed what I wanted, and he was very helpful. He emailed me the estimate within 24 hrs and and we settled on a date to get it done. The team of two, which came to do the job were also professional, punctual and hard woking. They obviously enjoyed the work by the efforts made to ensure the details of preping were were carefully done. It took two days to get it done, and I was very pleased with the outcome. I will definately use their services again and highly recommend them.

We are still waiting on our estimate, very poor communication.

The team at Duration did a very good job painting the exterior of our home. They were on time and very courteous the entire time and the quality of the work was good. Mike did the follow up walk around to fix some small issues (that were to be expected). They were all addressed immediately. They are not the cheapest at over $5000 but we have a large home we are very satisfied with their performance. Mike did provide us with a written warranty that is transferable to a future homeowner and that was a big plus. I would certainly use them again in the future for other projects DC

We absolutely LOVE our freshly painted house. Mike knows what he is doing and is very kind, fair & customer driven. He spent time working with me on color, which was way above & beyond what I expected. I would surely use Duration Painting again & highly recommend them.

Mike at Duration is very good and easy to work with. Professional & friendly. Showed up on time for bid and the job, worked with us on time frames and working with other contractors since we were doing a remodel job. The only small item negative was that some of the workers were not able to communicate very well but did good work. We dealt with owner or supervisor. Even did timely follow up work. We plan to use them again in the near future.

Work did not seem much a priority.

Mike was fantastic from the moment I contacted him. He showed up on time, explained everything (including options) in a clear, concise manner. He was pleasant and listened to my input. He submitted his bid in a timely fashion, and was able to schedule the work at the time I requested. His crew was also professional and showed up when expected throughout the two weeks they were on site. The end result was everything that I expected. I would highly recommend Mike/Duration Painting!

Mike Culy with Duration Painting was very personable, on time for all appointments, clearly stated all work to be performed in his estimate, and inspected the completed job to assure my satisfaction. He picked out the colors to match our existing colors, and we are very happy with his choices. His two-man painting crew showed up promptly on the scheduled date and completed the job in a very timely manner. They were friendly and very careful around our property. The paint job is very good and applied without any mess to our property or disturbance of our landscaping. We are very pleased with the work.
