I started looking for a new oven but decided that I would get a second opinion. I went on Angieslist and found another repairman. He came out said it was not sediment build-up, but that the child's safety lock was on. Seriously! Now my stove/oven works fine and I did not have to pay $500.
Description of Work: My stove/oven was not working, so I called my home warranty insurance person, since I have to use their repairmen. They sent out Tri-Valley Home Improvement. They came out and diagnosed that my oven had sediment build up. Which happens to be the one thing that is not covered under our warranty. I called him to find out how much it was going to cost to fix (since it was now out of pocket for me) and he said around $500 and I was better off buying a new oven.

First American Fiance recommended TriValley Home Improvement to fix my dishwasher., THey came out and said that we had a faulty pump. They ordered the part and said they would call to make an appointment when it arrived. They ended up calling to say it was going to take a few extra days to be delivered. We set up an appointment anyway with a 4 hour window. They called 30 minuets outside this window and said they couldn't show up. We rescheduled for two more appointments, neither of which they showed up to.
Description of Work: I had a recommendation from First American Finance group to come and fix my dish washer. I had already paid First American as part of my home warranty contract. The $60.00 was my deductible.

I only paid $50 because it was covered by my home warranty, the underwriter of which sent them to me. THE WORST. Repeatedly failed to call or arrive when they promised. Lost the parts order and had to send someone out again to determine the parts needed. Office staff swore at me and hung up. Two different people promised to personally call me back and did not. After I complained to the Home Warranty company, they dropped them from their list and reassigned it to another vendor since, after three months, Tri-Valley not finished the work.
Description of Work: They were supposed to fix a griddle on my stove top that didn't work, fix a ventilation fan that worked partially and fix the soap dispenser on the dishwasher. They partially fixed the first two and did nothing on the third before they were replaced by the home warranty company.
