It was ok. He was friendly. He explained what to do if the same problem came back.

It turned out okay. There were no issues with the appointment. They were on time for the appointment. They were professional and courteous when they came out. The only thing is they were supposed to replace the rollers and tune up the door for $99 and we wound up getting all new springs installed which were quite expensive.

He put on new rollers, he did a fast and good job.

Cables came off rollers above door on a Sunday. I called this provider because I had their card. We had used them a couple of years ago. I also checked on Angies List to see that they were still in business, still provided weekend service (our previous episode was also on a weekend), and also noted that they offered a Senior Discount. The technician that I spoke with first asked if Monday at noon would be ok, but when I explained that our door was stuck in the open position, with a garage full of stuff, he made arrangements to come that day. He arrived within 45 minutes of my first call and had the door fixed in about 30 minutes. There was a $100 charge for the weekend, but I really didn't feel that I had much choice since I couldn't shut my door. Door is quiet and works well. I would call this provider again.

.I scheduled the garage tune-up and roller replacement since my garage door was noisy when it opened and closed. The garage door opens very quietly after the service, but made more noise when it was closing. The technician said there was a problem with one of the garage door panels and it would cost about $400 to fix the problem. Bottom line, the noise the garage door makes when it is closing is worse than it was before the tune-up. Somehow, the problem with one of the garage door panels got worse after the tune-up and roller replacement. But, the garage door now opens very quietly.

The company was on time, friendly, professional and did a good job. The price was a little high but the work was done with quality.

It was fine. I don't remember having any problems with them. They came out when they were supposed to and did a good job.

The torsion spring broke on our door today, and they were able to provide same day service. They replaced the torsion springs and the garage door is working great. The cost was consistent with the estimate they gave me over the phone; the only variable was the cost of the springs themselves.

Pleased with the service. Torsion springs broke on a Saturday, I called Saturday evening and Roger was out Sunday afternoon. He replaced the torsion springs quickly and professionally, He also lubricated springs, hinges, etc. and gave me tips to help keep the door moving quietly and smoothly. I chose a new garage door opener, which was installed the next day. Also had the rollers replaced. The door operation is so much quieter than before. You can barely hear it. Before it was like a thrashing machine. I would definitely use this company again. Good Job!!

Alcosta was easy to contact. Their inspector for the initial visit was right on time, and he quickly scheduled a time for the work to be done. The repair person then showed up on time, and knew exactly what to do, and completed the job in a couple hours. The price was fair for the expert work that was done, and I was greatly relieved to finally get this work taken care of.

Fixed the exact problem very quickly and efficiently. Charged price as estimated. The service was very professional, friendly and timely. Great experience.

When I moved into my townhouse last year, I knew the garage doors were on their last legs and I was going to have to replace them sometime in the near future. Well, the one door (two car garage with two single doors) finally gave out. So I immediately looked for providers on Angie's List and saw that The Alcosta Co. got an "A" rating with the most reviews. And it was in the next town to boot. On their website they tout that they operate 24/7 and do emergency work. I called at 06:00 am on a Monday morning and Roger, who I found out later is the owner of the company, answered the phone. He told me someone will be out in the morning to give me an estimate. Roger himself showed up at 10:00 am that morning. He was professional, congenial and very knowledgeable of garage doors and the products he sells. Since I live in a townhouse, I am bound by the townhouse rules on styles and type of garage door. Roger recommended a product that would work for me. Roger also recommended that I only needed one new motor and advised the other motor was still good. I was impressed by his honesty and ethics. He could've easily sold me two motors. Roger provided me with a written, detailed estimate and required a $200 deposit. I told Roger I was an Angieslist member and he gave me a 5% discount. Roger also provided the full name of the person who would be doing the install. I have a busy work schedule and I was heading out of town that weekend. I really wanted to get this done asap. Roger told me the earliest he would be able to have the doors installed that Thursday, which worked for me. Later that day, I received a call from someone at his office who confirmed that someone would be out Thursday morning at 08:00 am. On Thursday at 08:00 am, the installer showed up. He had a professional demeanor. He introduced himself. He was awesome. He was extremely efficient and didn't mess around. He told me he would be done around 1:00 pm. He was done at 11:00 am!!! The removal work included removing the old doors (obviously), the tracks and the one motor. The install included new tracks, two new doors and one new motor. There may have been other parts/pieces/stuff that I'm not aware of. The installer went over the work that he did and showed me the operation of the doors. I paid by check. I would definitely recommend Alcosta Co. and I plan on using them every year to provide annual servicing.

Alcosta employee arrived on time (but we have to reschedule our appointment twice at their request which I had no problem rescheduling). Our garage door opener became so quiet and works smoothly after Alcosta performed the maintenance service.

Overall it was a great experience to work with Alcosta and so glad we found them on Angie's list (5% discount!). The original door we had replaced was actually slightly different than what we had ordered, but they corrected the mistake and came out a couple of days later to fix it. Now we have a beautiful new Garage door, well insulated and it works smoothly and quietly. I will go through them for the future for ongoing maintenance. Thank you again Alcosta for coming out in a flash and making those repairs!! So helpful and courteous.

He did a great job. He did a very good job. He was very professional and very helpful. He was very willing to come out for the second time. He did a great job. All in all, it was a good experience. He was very punctual. He was very willing to come for the second time so he can meet with my manager about the issue the association had to take care of. It was a very good service call. He didn't charge anything extra. It was an excellent experience.

He fixed it - hasn't make a peep since.

It went very well. He was very thorough and knew his stuff. He was very kind and I would use him again.

There was no service, as the contractor never contacted me. The fee was charged to my credit card account on 8/16, and I have contested the charge.

They were excellent, on time, and did great work.

I was very happy with their service. My concern was that they had not responded to the specials that you guys had advertised. When they did respond they did excellent work. Their initial response was very bad once they did make contact they came right away.

Bit of a problem early on with the scheduling but everything worked out well. Showed up promptly ontime and were finished very quickly.

After calling the main office a local repair associate, Grandel, (sorry about the spelling) called me back and was at my house within the hour. He completed the repair quickly and the cost was very reasonable.

Service person was late by about an hour. No reason given. Had to call to remind them 15 minutes past appointment time. It then took someone about 45 minutes to get to my house. Once the service person got here, he said that it would only take an hour and that's all it took. Service person was polite, friendly and knowledgeable. Garage door now opens much easier, quieter and the door opener unit is more stable. Despite the lateness for the appointment time, I'd recommend them because I think they did a thorough job.

He replaced the garage roller with better quality ones promised in Angieslist deal. Good honest small business owner. Found a defected remote controlled piece and replaced it with reasonable price which is not included in the original deal.

Terrific job. Even installed rollers I purchased from another vendor. Fast, knowledgeable, professional and very experienced.
