They were slow to contact us, we had to call them a few times after buying the service online. Once we contacted them, they scheduled, no-showed once, and then finally showed up after we called the main office. They did a nice job on the service, just hard to schedule with. Their communication could've been better.

Everything went well. They arrived on time, worked quickly, and answered all of my questions. They did a good job, and we were definitely satisfied with the work.

They evaluated the problem very easily. It went better then expected, the garage door was very loud and now it isn't. They were very professional, nice and communicated well also.

Really good overall... he replaced all rollers (qty 12) instead of the 10 that was on the deal. After the work was done, i went back and looked at the coupon and it said that they would lubricate all the hinges and springs--this wasn't done. Not a big deal and he probably would have done that had I remembered that. Overall, it was a good idea to do and garage is way more quiet than before.

I liked that they came and did their work, and they did what the deal basically offered. I bought two coupons, one for me and one for my in-laws' house. They didn’t want to do the work on my in-laws' house because they said it was out of their service area even though in the deal itself it said that it is in their service area. Then I contacted Angie's List and eventually Alcosta Overhead Door Co said that they would do it. But initially they wanted to charge me extra to go out of the service area. I did not spend additional money to the big deal. I also didn’t like the fact that instead of them coming and doing the work, they wanted to sell me stuff. I only hired them because of the deal. I would consider them just because they came and did the work and they seemed to know what they were doing. So I would consider them if I did some other garage door repairs, but I wouldn’t make them any more than any other company. With regard to price, I don’t know if without Angie's List I would consider them. I don’t like when people try to use their service calls to try to sell me something.

I saw the deal on an email and purchased the voucher. I got an email response from Alcosta with in 48 hours. They gave me the name of the technician for my area and I called him to set up the appointment and actually called me back with in hours. I was able to set up the appointment and he came out same day. Mark, the technician, was great. We showed him the issues we were having and after assessing the situations let us know what the problem was and what was needed. He was knowledgeable, nice and professional. We asked about repairing our keyless entry pad that died a while back. He took a look and confirmed it was dead and no longer compatible with our new garage door opener. He actually one with him and installed & programed it for us. That's the only reason I paid a bit more that the cost of the voucher ($99) because we did need to have the rollers installed as well. It took him a whole 45-60 min to do all the work or tuning up the door, changing out the rollers, securing our door opener, and installing the keypad. I think it was a very decent turn around. I would definitely use them again and recommend them.

The guy was very nice, very professional, very knowledgeable and efficient. He really knew what he was doing. He had specific experience with my brand of door opener which was a plus.

Had a bit of trouble scheduling the $99 garage door tune up but was very pleased with the service and value. The tech mentioned a few things that could be done in the future but there was no preassure to buy anything. This is a great value and I'm sure it added a few yesrs to my garage door installation.

I placed the initial call and received his call back in a timely fashion. The appointment was easily scheduled and the technician arrived on time and completed the repair in a professional manner.

Alcosta was great at working with me on a date and time. Mark showed up and worked quickly and professionally. He fixed the garage door that has been a long time problem. While he was there working, my dog jumped on my front door accidentally locking me out. He went the extra mile to make sure I was okay.

Mark was very expienced, and very knowledgeable on every aspect of the service. I would highly recommend the service he provided. I will be calling Alcosta Overhead Door Co., in the future for any of my garage door needs. I also had Mark install a outside key pad, to open the garage door, again he did a great job.

I purchased a $99 garage door overhaul. Between the time of purchasing and before the work was done there were additional problems with garage door opener. Original appointment date was changed by provider and new date set. Prior to new appointment date provider called requesting to change the date again. Another new date was scheduled. Provider arrived an hour late. I showed the new problem to him and requested a quote. The new problem was the gears on the outside of the motor that lifts the garage door were stripped. The provider said it would be better to just replace the entire motor unit which includes the gear assembly, and since the gears were stripped the springs on the door were probably worn out. He then moved the door up and down saying, "Oh yes the door is to heavy and the springs need to be replaced. At this point I had paid the $99 for the package offered on Angie's list. I have had to make 3 appointments to accommodate the provider and now he is saying I need new springs on the door, an extra $110 per spring, total $220, plus a new motor because of the stripped gears, motor cost installed $395. I agreed to the new springs, but knew the motor was way over priced. After new springs were installed no noticable difference could be felt in lifting the door. The old springs were not left on site for testing. The replacement gears needed for the motor were available online for under $20, I did purchase a new motor including the gears online and with shipping the cost was $115.00, and it took less than an hour to install. The $99 dollar special on Angie's list was well worth the money but that is were the values stopped. I feel the new springs were not needed after realizing that they did not make the door easier to lift and the motor and installation at $395 was ridiculous. I would not trust this providers recogmendations but he did do quality work on jobs completed.

Mark was the gentleman that was sent out by Roger to do the job. Mark's first visit was for the initial estimate. The second visit was to do the job of installing the new garage door opener and the handle on the outside of the door. On this second visit Mark had the handle at his shop (handle that was agreed upon was a new handle) and that he would come by the following day to install it. He also stated that I didn't need to be there for this. I went by the following day and the handle was not done. I have been to my rental property several other times in about a month period, and Mark still has not installed the handle. I have been in touch with Mark several times but only get his voice mail. I want Mark to finish the job he started. I have paid for the job of $689 and would like for Mark just to install the handle. At this time I would not recommend his services to others due to the lack of communication from him. I also want to note that the price that he charged was high. He also would change the price during the job.

We called for our appointment after purchasing the coupon. We were given an appointment for the next week. The person came out, on time and fixed our door. He was very professional and friendly. It took him about 1/2 hr to do all the work and now our door works beautifully! Before, our door didn't like to close. It was jerky and would often take some serious finagling with the remote key pad to get it to go all the way down without bouncing up. Now, we push the button, it goes down and we don't have to give it a second thought! Yeay!

Easy to make an appointment. Workman came right on time and quickly recommended repairs to be done and did them in a workmanlike manner. I would use this vendor again. Ann Christofferson

The owner sent the job to Mark who serviced my area. Mark arrived within the time frame he stated. He replaced the rollers and tested it to make sure it was working properly. Mark was very efficient, quick and very personable. My remote was still working but since it sometime failed to open because it was so worn, I decided to purchase a new remote. Mark did not have his regular truck which had the remotes so he came back on Feb 2nd to drop off the remote. He programmed the new remote and tested it to make sure it worked properly. Again he arrived within the scheduled time and did his work very quickly. I would call Mark again if I need anything regarding the garage door.

The technician arrived on time and knew the job well. He replaced 10 rollers as promised in the deal, with new ones and the garage door now runs smooth and is less noisy. I believe the fine-tuning part of the deal could have involved more than just lightly oiling/greasing some parts of the garage door mechanism. The garage door sqeaked a couple of days after replacement of rollers but is working after that.

This was an Angie's List Big Deal. With the information from Angie's list, I contacted the Alcosta technician (Mark) and set up an appt. for two days later. Mark arrived on time. In addition to the Big Deal Door Maintenance, the garage door motor was also not functioning. Mark knew immediately from my explanation that the gear drive was stripped. Mark serviced the door, replacing our steel rollers with the new nylon rollers which made the door operation MUCH quieter. Mark also replaced the drive gear in the motor. This of course was an extra charge. The door works great. Arrived on time, knew exactly what he was doing, finished the work in a timely manner and is a very nice guy. I would hire them again and I recommend them based on my experience. Rick

We had our garage door tuned up - $99 and Granzel tightened all the bolts, lubricated all the moving parts, replaced the rollers and even corrected the bracket that had been backwards all along for no extra charge. He extended the Angie's List deal to our second door and did the same there. The doors are both really quiet and move much more solidly now. We had a little trouble getting scheduled but feel that the work was done professionally.

Great service from the company! Purchased a deal from them over the holidays and contacted them to perform service on garage door that has been mal-functioning for months. New rollers and tightening of bolts and adjusting the bars plus some lubricants fixed the problem beautifully. Will use them again for service.

It went well overall. He showed up on time. Worked efficiently and cleaned up everything. Tested the garage door. Everything went smoothly.

They showed up on time, helped me clear out space around the front of the garage (we just moved in and the garage is full of boxes and stuff). They made quick work of changing the rollers which was the special. Then they gave me the same special rate to do the second door. Then they solved my remote entry problems.
