Paramount Home Theater

Overall, the experience went from good to terrible. This is the second time I used Paramount Home Theater based on a positive experience from the first time. However, the positive experience was not repeated the second time around. PHT mounted one TV in my living room and it looks great. The second TV which was dismounted at my previous home and transported to the new home was a pain to take down for the Movers and finally the Movers did not want to be liable so they did not dismount the TV. So I used PHT to dismount since it was mounted by PHT. During the dismounting, it became apparent that Ken had put on the mounting brackets upside down and that is why the TV had always tilted upwards. Also, since the mounting brackets were installed incorrectly, the TV did not meet earthquake safety requirements. Now, I am starting to question if he really knows what he is doing. After transporting the second TV to the new home, Ken (the Owner) was cutting out the drywall to run power and also for cables. He hit a cold water plumbing line. According to him, he tested for copper plumbing lines. He contacts a Plumber and also provides a check to cover the plumbing costs. The issue was corrected 2 days later and required additional drywall/plywood removal in order to correct the issue. I had another person patch up the drywall and re-texture even though Ken stated he would patch up the drywall himself. Quite honestly, I did not feel he would have done a good job. I had to spend a lot of additional time in dealing with the Plumbers, etc. This is time which was unplanned for. Ken did return to finish mounting the TV and I was shocked to know that he still expected the original agreed dollar amount. Surely he could have given me a break due to the plumbing issue which was caused by him but that is not how he saw it. He stated that he was out $200 for the Plumber and his Assistant's wages and basically he still needs to charge me the full amount for the job. I did have plans on using Ken for speaker installations but after this experience, I will no longer use PHT. I also will not be recommending PHT to friends or family. Please note, prior to this incident, I did recommend Ken to two other's who did use him for TV mounting. No more, I have lost all confidence in this business.

Overall the experience was great. They did what they said they were going to do and the work was excellent. Clean and professional in every aspect. Communication was spot on as well. I got a quote from competitor with one of the highest reports on hAngies list and the price was almost double for the same work. I really enjoyed working with these folks and I would use them again.

Ken ALWAYS calls back and does his work in a very timely fashion. In my case this included a very difficult wiring situation. He also stands behind his work. My advice is to pay a little extra and have everything done correctly and professionally. I'd definitely use him again!

KEN IS VERY BUSY, YET RESPONSIVE. I HAVE ALWAYS RECEIVED A RETURN CALL WITHIN 1-2 DAYS & THEN HAVE MADE APPOINTMENTS TO HAVE WORK DONE. HE IS VERY PUNCTUAL, KNOWLEDGEABLE, & PROFESSIONAL. I WAS VERY COMFORTABLE TAKING HIS RECOMMENDATIONS FOR MY HOME & AM ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTED WITH THE AUDIO & VIDEO SYSTEMS HE HAS INSTALLED THROUGHOUT MY HOME. IT MIGHT SEEM EXPENSIVE, BUT I WOULD CALL HIM BACK FOR ANY OTHER HOME STEREO OR WIRING NEEDS I MIGHT HAVE.
