MCCURLEY'S FLOOR COVERINGS

How did it go? It didn't go at all; because no one ever came to the building to give a bid. When I called to inquire Casey told me that the guy came out and dealt with the General Contractor but would check and call me back. I checked with the GC and Casey's statement wasn't true and he never called me back. I tried calling but my call wasn't returned. I find this to be very unprofessional behavior. If you're not interested in the job just tell us and don't lie about it so we can move on to the next guy who'd be happy with a job of this size. I would not recommend them to anyone if this is how they treat potential customers. I should have given more merit to the recent "Meh" Yelp reviews about this company and their poor service.

I had to finish a couple of things in the 2 bedrooms such as installing the closet and repaint the walls. Oscar worked with me on delaying the install date then when I finally settled on a date, he made it happen. Guillermo and his helps moved the furniture, torn the carpet and install the hardwood floors in one day. He installed the baseboards I cut (incorrectly) and managed a great job with it. I had a dog and cat and worked with me so I can move them from one room to the other. I rarely write reviews but I totally recommend them.

On a 2 story condo, we had the entire flooring of house replaced along with all the base molding tore out and replaced. The entire project was completed in one week, excellent timing in my opinion. They arrived promptly at 8am daily, and were usually gone by 6pm. The first day was gutting the old carpet, moving larger furniture items into garage, and tearing out fireplace tile on floor and wall. The hardwood flooring was then completed in 2 days, bathroom traventine tile and carpeting took 2 days and fireplace tile one day. I threw them a curve by requesting install of base molding throughout the entire house instead of downstairs only with the hardwood flooring, no problem. I threw another curve with the tear out of small bathroom sink and toilet, again no problem. The fireplace flooring was Carrara white marble with herringbone pattern, and was done expertly. Originally it was going to be a simple pattern but we changed our mind when we saw a picture. So despite the changes we made, all was done in one week time. Also had chipped tile that was replaced in 2 days at no cost. Clean up was properly done, not immaculate but with all the construction, not to be expected, so no complaint in that area at all. They also provided sealant and cleaner at no cost to me.

We used the company's Concord location and were very pleased with the selection and quality of the carpet. They were very responsive to our request to come measure and provide a written estimate for the job. The carpet had to be ordered and came in earlier than they had indicated. The installers arrived on time and were very professional in their approach. We were originally told by the sales person that it would likely be a 2-day job but the installers said they could do it in one day. They ended up staying until past 7 p.m. to get it all finished. In some ways that was an inconvenience, but it was nice to have it all done in one day. We did notice a few small dings in the wall paint from the furniture moving but nothing that was difficult to fix. Overall we were very pleased with the whole experience, which turned out to be much smoother than we had feared.

This provider never even bothered to respond to my request through Angie's List for them to contact me about installing hardwood floors throughout my whole house. Very disappointing.

Friendly and prompt service. The floor was supposed to be stapled down, but when the old floor was taken up it was discovered that glue would be more appropriate so they made the change on the fly. If I had had more notice about the need for change I would have had them put down plywood instead of gluing it directly to the subfloor however.

Oscar was on time for the estimate that we felt was reasonable. The crew was very professional they completed the removal of the carpet and installed the new flooring in two days. Approx 550 sq feet. In addition they replaced the flooring in the kitchen and installed new baseboard throughout the condo. We are very pleased with the job.

I hired McCurley's after researching a bunch of vendors. Casey from McCurley's was a thorough professional. Always responsive, always with answers, providing suggestions / solutions / alternatives without being too pushy. I was very well informed and had done many weeks of research for the laminate project and had other vendors blow smoke to my face. McCurley's was always clear and honest with their information and their quotes. I was a very particular and picky customer (especially pertaining to VOCs and Formaldehyde / toxin concerns) and McCurley's did everything to address each of my concerns. I even requested for some clean up after money was paid, and Casey promptly sent someone over to help without any fuss. OVerall my experience was very positive, I would gladly recommend them to others.

The McCurley's team did an outstanding job with our carpet install from start to finish. We have worked with contractors in three states redoing 5 floors and we must say from sales to install McCurley's has been our BEST experience yet: Oscar is a consummate sales professional: friendly, respectful, helpful, honest, prompt, knowledgeable. We got many quotes and McCurley's price was the most competitive. Both Oscar's cost and installation were exact. The installation team led by the talented Alex was outstanding despite the unexpected very rainy day for our install leaving little dry space for him to cut our carpet. Alex's work was amazing: he cut the carpet precisely and the seams are invisible, the carpet has been laid to a beautiful, precise fit in every room and every closet: We are so pleased! The floor looks gorgeous. Both Alex and Menu were on time, extremely hard-working, respectful of our home, professional, and their install work, despite the unexpected challenges a rainy day brings, was superior including clean up AND they still finished the work in the estimated one day. McCurley's met and exceeded our expectations. We will hire them again for any future flooring needs.

Last year (2011) I was referred to McCurley's by a friend. Oscar was great! I had the living room, dining room and family room (previously carpet and tile) redone with hardwood floor. It wasn't until this year that I remodeled the kitchen and replaced the remaining portions of the fllooring with the same hardwood flloors. The integration was seamless; color match perfect. Everything looks great. Installers were on time, efficient, fast. I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend McCurley's. Ask for Oscar.

We came across McCurley's flooring center completely at random. We ended up working with Oscar who was a consummate professional. He offered us very fair pricing on both quality hardwood flooring and carpeting, as well as reasonable pricing on quality labor. He had the job done in a timely manner as promised. His installation crew worked hard, and was very professional. Our home looks amazing after this project. Aside from a few manufacturer product delays, we had no problems working with McCurley's. Oscar was very easy to work with, very responsive and I highly recommend his services!

Overall, it turned out to be really good. There were some problems; but as far as the end results, it was excellent. They used contractors to do the work. They had time issues; they said they would come on certain time, and they didn't show up. They use to work until the evening with power-saw and chop-saw around 7.30 in the night at the front yard. I live in a condo, so that wasn't really cool. They had two different jobs. They put in engineered hardwood, and that was one group. They put in solid hardwood in risers, and I had a problem with those guys. The engineered stain doesn't match, and I had to have them come back because they said the job was done; but they only put one coat of paint on the risers and the stains from the hardwood showed through. In the end, they came back and fixed it. They did a really good job. I am very happy with the product, quality, and the price. The experience wasn't either excellent or bad. Whenever I used to make any complain about few things to the owner; he used to come up with quick excuses, which didn't make sense.

The salesperson was really, really good and very helpful. The price was really good. We had priced the same flooring at other stores and it was quite a bit lower. Their prices were better for the same product. They were very professional. They showed up within a half hour or so of when they were supposed to and they did a very good job. They fixed any issues we had. The product is really good and they had a really big selection. We were very happy with the results. We would use them again and we have actually recommended them to three people.

McCurley's scheduled the installation to fit our schedule. The installers were very good and very professional. They were polite and nice to work with. They were very accommodating of special requests, including two small changes we made to the project after the installation started. The installers were very careful about their work and paid close attention to detail. They cleaned everything up and left things looking nice at the end of each day. One small issue is that the installation took longer than originally promised (three days promised, ended up taking five days). The "B" grade for punctuality reflects this slower than promised installation. However in the end, the floor looked great, and the extra time was worth it. Oscar at McCurley's was available for us to talk to during the installation and he answered all of our questions. We highly recommend McCurley's for wood floor, tile and carpet.
