I could not have been more impressed--and I am one of the most particular and detail-oriented folks I know! We initially worked with 4 landscapers/designers and then narrowed it down to Eastrock. Simply put--Larry's level of knowledge was top-notch, and his professionalism was outstanding. We instantly could tell that Larry runs an ethical business with quality work, and we were absolutely correct. Larry worked with us through many design iterations (~$750, and we owned the designs in the end). He provided professional masonry, architecture, drainage, and watering designs, including 3D computer renditions that allowed us a much better view of the work in real-life. We then sent his designs out for bid. While his masonry work came in a bit more expensive than others, other aspects came in a bit lower. All in all, all 3 bids were very close, and the decision was clear to us to choose Eastrock for quality, responsiveness, reliability . . . and Larry is just an overall wonderfully nice guy who takes an interest in his clients and their styles. Larry submitted all designs to the HOA, and they were approved with no questions in less than 24 hours; he clearly knew the architectural guidelines very well and was respectful of such. In addition, Larry put us in touch with a planting expert, Diane, who was equally knowledgeable, professional, wonderful to work with, and offered reasonably prices at $75/hr for her services (including nursery visits with us to tag trees and plants and also on-site visits to ensure all plants were placed according to her plan and in the correct direction.) Our entire yard was installed ahead of schedule (less than 8 weeks). It is beautiful, and we could not be happier. When one or two things looked awry, Larry was very responsive and came to fix them and ensure we were 100% satisfied (lights were out, some fixtures were too bright for us--we only had to pay $120 to swap out for different styles), a few paver cuts looked off, etc.). In fact, in the middle of today's flash flooding and such, we noticed one of our drains was backing up. Larry was here this afternoon to inspect (and his daughter is home with a broken foot!) and will be back to fix as soon as the rains let up. And, in the middle of all of this rain, we are quite impressed that we literally have NO other puddles; the drainage job is amazing. Eastrock takes accountability for and pride in its work--not only Larry the owner, but his foreman and all crew members with whom we worked. As an example, when we asked if our daughters could make handprints in the concrete but they were still at school when it hardened, the crew poured two separate molds another day just for them, and they then placed them in the yard for us where we requested. You won't be disappointed.
Description of Work: We hired Larry to plan and install our landscaping in a brand-new home in Danville.
