Budget Plumbing & Drain Cleaning

i noticed one morning that my carpet was wet, after i figured out it wasnt the dogs fault, i realized at 6:00 a.m. i had a leak in the house i used angies list to find a plumber close to my house and found budget plumbing. i called at 7:00 a.m. and by 7:30 pat was at my house. he located the leak in 2 min. and had it fixed in 15 min. pat did a great job, i have used him a second time to replace a garbage disposal and to replace a couple of faucets. i have thier magnetic calling card on refridgerator door now, and i wouldnt hesitate to use them again.

Frustrating....don't think he understands the plumbing in manufactured homes.....opposite of what we were told. Because he didn't have time to match the pipe size, we were without water overnight.

I chose Budget and Drain cleaning, because of the huge number of A ratings by obviously satisfied customers gave it on Angies List. I was expecting the same good service. How wrong I was. From the very beginning I had a weird feeling about the estimator. He was more more interested in cracking jokes than in telling me how he would address the very serious exterior drain problems of my 50 year old hillside property . Looking back I wonder if he wasn't on something or had been drinking. After that, is when the weirdness got weirder. The estimate, promised soon, didn't come He called me, about a week after our first meeting, a Monday, saying he would e-mail me the estimate that evening or the next morning, it too never arrived. The following Saturday he called again, saying he had lost my e-mail address,which didn't make sense, I get a message immediately that the e-mail couldn't be delivered. He asked for it again, repeating it back to me to make sure he got it right, saying he would send me the estimate "in the next 5 minutes", all the while he was talking to me, he was carrying on a conversation with some one in the room.This time he really sounded like he had been drinking. Again the promised estimate did not arrive . It was, like I say, a very weird experience.I continue, even now, to wonder why he was doing all this.

It went very well overall. They were fast and very efficient.

It went very well because Pat makes sure even the smallest detail is done correctly and as I said before "he never cuts corners"-he does it right or he doesn't do it at all.

I looked on Angieslist for a plumber. I decided on Budget after talking on the phone with the women that answered the phone. She was very helpful and courteous. They are a small company, but busy. We were able to work out a good time to come out. They were on time and Pat the owner called when they were on their way. They were able to check a couple of things then ran a snake out to the front of the house (kitchen sink was in back of the house). The drain was cleared and they were on their way in short order with no mess and a job well done. The price was high but, we are in the hayward hills and with the price of Gas getting here, it was not unreasonable.

I have used their services quite regularly. They are always punctual for the work and do an excellent job. Their prices are very affordable. The biggest project they did was; a line placed in between the kitchen and backyard. All the employees are very friendly and go out of their work to service you, even if it’s a weekend. I like their services a lot and will use them in future.

Pat at Budget Plumbing was one of the few plumbers that actually called me back after making numerous calls. After I told him the issue he said he would come by and take a look to see if he could do something that evening, even though it was getting late and he did not have his video/sonar locator with him.. Pat showed up and took a look around and apologized that he would need to come back first thing the next day with his other equipment. Pat showed up the next day at 8:30am along with a second person and they proceeded to begin to try and clear the pipe. After many attempts to clear it and locate where it came out of the house it was proving to be difficult. While the snake would go all the way through the pipe, it was not long enough to get to the stoppage and the video/sonar tool for some reason would not provide a conclusive location. Since the house is on a slab and a custom build there was nothing "standard" for trying to determine where the pipe exited the house. After many attempts at locating the pipe, there were two possibilities where it could be and so they began to dig a hole where the best guess was (which I agreed with). Unfortunately, it turned out to be the second possibility after digging for a while and finding nothing. In the second location after some digging, we did actually find a cleanout buried ~18 inches under the dirt. After that it was simple to snake the pipe and add a longer pipe so the cleanout is above ground. Pat did a great job, explained to me what he was doing and why, showed me the issues and why there was a problem, and stuck it out until it was fixed.

We had water pooling in our backyard due to the heavy rains. The water was not running out to the sewer. Pat came in and did an excellent job in diagnosing the problem. Turns out that the roots of one our plants punched a hole into the PVC pipe and the root system filled it up completely. The pipe ran about a hundred feet and Pat found the plug to within 2 feet which is impressive. He dug it up and fixed it. I would highly recommend Pat and Budget Plumbing. They did a super job!

I called Budget Plumbing and Heidi was going to send Pat and his team out the same day. Unfortunately, I got trumped by a bigger plumbing emergency, but no biggie. They couldn't have been nicer about rescheduling me as soon as possible and were respectful of my work schedule. Pat showed up when he said and got right to work on the clogged bathtub. He cleaned out the drain, but was concerned because the water was still draining slowly. He brainstormed on what the problem might be until he figured it out. Based on his work ethnic, I will no doubt be hiring him for a bathroom remodel in the near future.

As always, work is excellent, neat, fair price, prompt and pleasant to deal with. Office staff is also great to deal with! Will always call Budget Plumbing for when service is needed.

Pat has done work for us before (unclogging drains, drain rerouting) and he always does a great job. He is prompt and courteous and cleans up after he is done.

I called in the late morning and they came out late that afternoon, I got updates on an exact ETA. Clean up was good and Pat was informative and professional.

This is a family business. The foreman and his 5 man crew showed up within the window of time agreed upon. They were in two trucks and had just come from another job. After a quick hi, how are you they got to work. The 2 offending patches were jack-hammered out and holes were dug. Each member of the crew was kept busy, and it was obvious they'd worked together before. The old pipes were taken out and 1/4" copper piping was lain under the sidewalk from a spool on the truck to the building. The pipes were connected, water pressure was restored, voila water. The holes(2) were filled and tamped. New concrete was lain. As agreed, I received a phone call the next day, and a further inspection the next day. The work passed city inspection. I mentioned this is a family business. They are very busy, and there is always someone to talk to you or return your call. I can't recommend them highly enough, and their prices are reasonable for what they do.

Even though I'm a home owner and I do most stuff myself, it's gotten to the point that I just leave Patrick to do it because his service is just phenomenal and incredible. It is at the point where I can call and say I need something done and call me when you have 4 or 5 hours free. He'll just call me up at work and ask if I've got time this afternoon, then he comes over and gets the job done. He's almost a family friend. The price is fair for the amount of work and attention to detail. He's a very reliable and great kid. he will work around the home owners schedule.

They came out on time and did the job. Everything was great.

Called Sunday and was put on the schedule first thing Monday morning as requested. Work done quickly and efficiently. Would not hesitate to call again.

Their service was great. Heidi scheduled everything with the plumber Pat. She assured me that they would take care of everything and that I need not worry. And this turned out to be true. Heidi called me one hour before they arrived so I could go meet them. They were very flexible with what they could install and how they could get me the best price. Their labor cost was really good - $300 for the heater install and valve replacement. They were quick, professional and clean. Highly recommended.

The pipes had a slow leak for a couple of months. It got worse. I could catch it with a bowl, but it eeded to be replaced. Pat came out and showed me where the leaks were and scheduled a time to replace them. They did a fast, neat and good job. Very nice people too.

Very punctual. No extra charge for same day service. Showed my husband how to unblock the drain if it ever happens again.

Pat was very professional, took great care of everything that was impacted by the job - opening walls, moving mirrors and furniture to access affected plumbing, all carefully and with a minimum of inconvenience and mess - and took great pains to make certain we were affected as minimally as possible. Since city code requires plumbing not to be routed underground beneath concrete layers, Pat re-routed the plumbing to as to meet city spec. The job took two (elapsed) days to complete, and everything was replaced and redone after their work as if they were never there. Pat's professionalism and that of his employees engendered trust and I would certainly call on them again for any future work.

Pat, the owner, came. He assessed the situation quickly and got to work on snaking the drain and opening the clean drain. The thing took 15 minutes max.

Pat came by the same day I called which was late on a Friday evening before a long holiday weekend. He told us that it was the main pipe that was cracked and needed to be replaced. He recommended replacing with a PVC which would be cheaper. He quoted the price and said he would come the following day with his workers. He came about an hour later then he said he would but he did have his sister Heidi call me to let me know. I was very concerned about the job and whether I should go with PVC or copper and both Pat and Heidi talked me through the whole process. Pat recommended PVC stating that it would last for years to come. I decided to replace it with what ever was used in the first place. It tured out it was PVC. Pat came with two other workers, one was his brother. They removed the plants and dug up the dirt, replaced the pipe, put everything back and cleaned up. The process took around 3 hours. I was very happy with the job.They were all very professional and Pat is knowledgable. I would definatly use them again.

We called Budget Plumbing first thing Monday a.m. We were told that the owner, Pat, would do his best to come see us that evening. He had a pretty packed schedule, but still was willing to help us out. He told us not to run any major appliances (showers and toilets were OK so we weren't stuck.) He called later that evening around 7 pm saying he was running late on a job and asked if he could come first thing Tuesday and we agreed. As promised he was there by 7:30 a.m. He was courteous and professional. He determined quickly that our back up was caused by something plugging the main line from the house to the street ~ most likely the roots of the tree in our yard that sat 5 feet from the line. (We did not plant the tree; it was here when we bought the house.) He ran a blade and broke up the blockage (a root) but found another larger blockage down the line that was not budging with the size blade he had. He had to move to his next job (since he squeezed us in early ... ) but he promised to return early Wednesday to run a smaller blade and try to break through the next blockage as well as take a look with the scope. To prevent any problems, he left the clear drain cap off to avoid any back up in the house. As promised, he arrived at 7:15 a.m. today and within an hour, he was able to break through the second root. The whole time he was professional and efficient. He didn't try to sell us on him coming back to do other jobs, although he did recommended he return next summer to do a preventative snaking (which we will do!)
