I cannot say enough good things about Ted Van Midde, their crew and their work at my home in Terra Linda. They completed re-graded my entire back yard, removing and demolished old patios and a deck, rocks, plants in the process and everything was done so carefully and cleanly I hardly knew they were there- and we have huge plate glass windows spanning the entire length of our house so demo was a big concern. 
My landscape architect laid out a very challenging system of pavers of varying lengths, requiring extreme attention to detail and actual artistry from their forming team. They got it all laid out perfectly and when they had questions they consulted me and together we decided on what was best. And when I had a question they ALWAYS responded quickly, in a few occasions proactively called me to ask what I wanted or to discuss next steps.
I can be a very fussy customer but their team could not have been more friendly, patient and professional. They were incredibly trustworthy and I felt very comfortable giving them access to my yard when I was away. And the price of their work was right in my budget, which was a relief! In short, they are my go-to guys for my next project and they should be yours.

Tremendous work, fully quality, total professionals. Clear communication. Estimate in writing. They even talked us out of doing it the more expensive excessive way.  Their way was better, done great.  Had about a third of our San Francisco sidewalk cracked and damaged by tree roots over the years.  After gathering several bidders, hired Van Midde and fully recommend them without a doubt!

Estimate was efficient but a bit high.
Decided to do the work. Had to wait a bit for start date (but I was not in a rush).

I have a rented house and the entire driveway looked like Grand Tetons and we replaced all of that. They did an excellent job. They cleaned up everything. They were extremely professional. The man who came to give the quote was very helpful and saved a lot of my money. I would be happy to recommend them. They were completely, entirely honest. They were little cheap than other estimates that I had. They were just really incredible. I would not be without answers.

They have been excellent in their work and timing. With one part of the project, they could've done the clean up a little bit better. Otherwise, they are professional on all fronts.

Overall, excellent. Ted Van Midde and his team were extremely diligent and considerate during the month long construction project. A new sewer pipe needed to be rerouted. Instead of charging additional fees for every unforeseen problem, Ted included the "minor" issues into the overall estimate and provided us with a very fair price and outstanding service. Also, we needed Ted was very helpful when we needed his assistance several years later. Overall, when we select a vendor for construction, we seek fairness, quality workmanship, honor, reliability, and support. Ted Van Midde fulfilled all of these criteria. In retrospect, I would have consulted a landscape architect to address for additional insight regarding possible design options. The staircase and pathways which incorporate a stain are frequently praised by other trades professionals for the beauty and artistry of the hardscape.

I was extremely happy with them and I felt that they were very familiar with what I wanted to have done. Everything was done very precisely and accurately. I was well pleased with the attitudes of the workers because they were all pleasant to do business with.
