I ended up not getting service from this provider since he recommended again it( which I do appreciate his honesty for) BUT I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER DEAL FROM ANGIESLIST AGAIN AND I STRONGLY RECOMMEND OTHERS WOULD NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM ANIGIESLIST EITHER. For the following reasons: 1. I have had bad experiences with some providers sold by angieslsit. There is no real criteria of screening before selling these deals. Many providers are rated B or so which means their service has been unsatisfactory. I have even had disappointing experiences with their A rated providers. Angieslist is just trying to profit from selling these deals without a consideration for the quality of service or consumer protection. me2. In some instances, even the provider accepted the extremely poor service and admitted to a refund. However, angieslsit did not agree with that and did not allow the refund!!! In one instance, the service was not even provided since the merchant did not deliver it in a timely fashion. Again, they accepted their short-coming and agreed with the refund. However, angieslist blocked the refund due to a " 30-day refund policy!!! It is ludacrious that they expect a 30 day refund request while the provider that they have recommended has taken longer to respond. If I had bought the deal directly from the provider I would have received a refund and an apology. But angieslist, instead of being on the side of the consumer as they advertise., is only after making their own profit. 3. For the above reasons, I recommend using yelp in your area, finding high-rated providers and shopping from them directly. Yelp is indeed impartial, but angieslit is basically trying to make money for itself. In addition, yelp is free! It is ironic that angieslsit charges us a membership fee to help us consumers avoid dishonest merchants while they themselves are the most dishonest merchant of all time.

The experience was fine. We had a little discussion that I think was a little confusing on the rate that they ultimately charged me but that worked out fine. They promptly looked at my concern, resolved it. As far as the work, it was excellent. They did a very good job. They were very careful and covered everything well and cleaned up well after themselves.

Initially they reached to me with an email or two and I was not able to schedule them. I have asked for a refund.

I couldn't finish a job I started months ago. I found this company on Angies List with a great deal and called Rich. He was out of town but answered my call and started the job as soon as he got back. It took four hours and my house is finished.

The reason we will not recommend him is that on the one hand he is expensive but on the other, he balked at our providing a brand of paint, which got top rate by Consumers Reports, that was not of his choosing. The quote for doing our living room was never furnished. I cannot recommend a vendor who does not give a quote or declining call.

The job required a lot of furniture/appliance moving and attention to detail, and we were very pleased with the result. They completed the job in 4 hours, and left absolutely no mess. A completely painless experience. I would definitely use his company again, even at full price.

I purchased a Big Deal for Rich Robertson painting. He first came by to see what my project was, answered all my questions, and then set up a date to do the work. Turns out I wasn't quite ready the night before the scheduled work, and he was very accommodating! We rescheduled for the following week. He showed up with one other painter and the two of them painted my guest bedroom in 4 1/2 hours. It was fabulous! They were friendly, professional, and thorough. Thanks Rich!!

Rich was the forth painter who gave us an estimate. He told us up front that he's not cheap- in fact he was the most expensive estimate (way more than the one guy, a little more than another). Rich was confident in his work though and there's really no point saving money if you end up with insufficient coverage and wonky lines. The place looks great. He's a total perfectionist. Careful and conscientious. Rich painted a sample wall to make sure we were happy with the colors, he kept us up to date with his progress, he even came back for touch-ups after our flooring was installed and again after the water damage. Highly, highly, highly recommended.

Rich was just wonderful. Prompt, thoughtful, professional. He draped everything to protect tile floors, marble countertops, etc. Worked quietly and quickly. Had a great crew with him. Asked my input and opinion through out the entire project. Painted three test colors in each room on walls to help me decide. Matched paint in another bath perfectly. He went beyond what was called for. removed all hardware, door handles, doors, mirrors, heater trim, etc. Reinstalled all new fixtures, even did a few minor repairs. It was a pleasure having him work in our house.

He was punctual, and called when he needed to move the appointment slightly. He was prompt in providing an estimate, and I especially appreciated the detailed list of references that were specific to our type of job. I would have hired Rich, but we found out that a painter we had worked with before was available for the job.

He was easy to work with and he was forthcoming with information. The job got done on time.
