+ -1 moreI requested an evaluation of the tree pruning needs at my home. Louie who provided an expert onstie council with very practical and economical solutions to my tree issues. He recommended a very efficient and focused assessment of the major needs, and rather than suggesting the higher priced, arborist option, recommended that my weekly gardner could take care of some of the lesser, more routine tree pruning needs. Based on other proposals, their bid was very reasonable. The job was scheduled a few days later, the crew arrived on time, handled the job efficiently, sought my input where necessary, left the property exactly as they found it. The crew lead and crew were very professional and did the job I expected. I highly recommend the Marin Arborists and would certainly use them again.
Description of Work: Pruned two large trees, installed cable between three main trunks of large birch to prevent splitting and possible breakage and fertilized several large rhododendrons.

Description of Work: Marin County Aborists removed a large tree from our property, cut the tree to grade, and hauled all wood and debris away. They did everything they said they would and did it well. Their price was reasonable and less than the other company who submitted a quote (a company that is know for being too expensive in general). We also appreciated that there was an Angie's discount coupon which was an extra incentive to book with them. There are only two MINOR complaints. First, they did not return one of our phone calls asking for them to come out and give an estimate the first time. We had to follow up. The second time, someone did return the call and we set the approintment for the estimate. The second minor complaint is that it took what seemed to be a long time to schedule the work after we submitted the acceptance of the proposal. However, they explained, when I called to ask, that they had a lot of emergency work due to the storms we had had. I just wish they had notified us of that rather than my having to call and ask. We still would have used them-it just would have been nice to have been informed. On the other hand, their office staff, I think it was their bookkeeper and/or office manager, was very helpful and was the person responsible for our finally getting a callback and for getting the information we needed about the scheduling. I would definitely use them again and definitely recommend them. Just suggest that a person understand they might have to make a call or two to get going.

Description of Work: Had Marin County Arborists out to bid on removal of a dead pine tree for a condominium complex. Bid was right with 2 others and their Board of Directors picked a competitor that they had more familiarity with.

+ -1 moreOne of these Bay trees was a very large multi-trunked tree on a tricky slope next to a rock garden and Camelia bushes. The professionalism they used in removing this tree with essentially no damage to the garden or shrubs was exceptional. The other tree work was also performed with the same high quality. Before they started the work, they were very good about answering our questions and assisting us with the permit process. They maintained a good professional attitude throughout the job and seemed to enjoy their work. They also carefully checked the work- site before leaving.
Description of Work: Marin County Arborists removed several Bay trees on our property and and did some tree pruning on a Toyon tree.

+ -1 moreThe arborist I met with, Louis, was knowledgeable and very professional in his dealings with me when giving the estimate. He showed up again with the crew on the day of the work, to advise them on what to do, then checked back with them later in the day. The job was well done. They cleaned up all debris as promised. I would use them again. By the way, I got a comparison bid from Bartlett tree service, and found Marin Co Arborists to be much better priced for this job.
Description of Work: Pruned 4 trees by about 3-4 feet, including improving the shape of a prominently placed gingko that was very poorly pruned by someone else in the past. They also removed dead branches, hauled all wood and debris.
