FARNSWORTH MAYFLOWER DID NOTHING. Contacting the President the next day to ensure that he agreed with the decision not to move us and that he agreed with the way in which we were informed - he did agree with their handling of the situation and blamed it on MAYFLOWER/North American Can Lines. FARNSWORTH MAYFLOWER people did NOTHING to help us find another available moving company. Both the owner, Cal and our contact, Ken committed to do so - and since they had not kept their commitment - I started calling myself. All the reputable moving companies literally gasped when they heard our story. Further NONE of them had heard from FARNSWORTH MAYFLOWER. I found honest and concerned business people in the local moving industry who went to work for us. As insiders, they called all the major and independent movers in the area - explained our dire situation and Farnsworth Mayflower's (lack of ) ethical moving business practices. These major and independent companies couldn't believe such a breach of goodwill and trust. This is not the way ethical moving companies work. You don't make a commitment to a customer and suddenly drop them. As with all companies, it's the guy or woman at the top that sets the integrity of the business. Their words and promises mean nothing. Cal Farnsworth, the President, and Ken Farnsworth, the Vice President lack both ethics and integrity. Finally, in talking with a number of moving companies today (we are up against a very tight timeframe, in a very busy season - time is of the essence...) we learned so much more about how to pack - what not to pack - how the pricing works. Ken FARNSWORTH misinformed us and in so many cases lacked vital moving information. Based on the cadre of moving estimate people through our home today, I can categorically state that FARNSWORTH MAYFLOWER doesn't understand their business. THIS COMPANY IS UNETHICAL AND INCOMPETENT.
