Their measurement and estimate were prompt and professional. They were patient about waiting for insurance payment to come through. They came out and took a sample to the lab for asbestos testing. Sadly there was asbestos, and we had to deal with a different outfit to remove all the old flooring and underlayment. I was surprised that City Carpets only sent one man to do the installation. A second working would have made the job go faster. And as it was, I had to help moving the refrigerator in and out. The only real problem with City Carpets' work was that the piece of vinyl, as provided by their supplier, was labelled with the wrong size! This caused a delay of 4 days after they discovered this and had to re-order.

Nicole Elam is the sales rep that I worked with and she was not only very patient, she actually had an eye for design and helped guide putting the room together. When I first started this project, the ideas I had were maybe a little boring. While working with Nicole I ended changing the entire plan and ended up with a lovely color pallete thanks to her. She went above and beyond during our time working together, even visting my home a few times and and when we were back in the show room she had a strong visual memory of the room we were working on. She helped me pick out linolium too, providing me with samples to bring home. I had under estimated one of the samples, thinking it wasn't going to be right for the room, but when I saw it in there, it was exactly right and I knew Nicole had made an excellent suggestion once again. When I found a couch I wanted, she met me at the store and helped me with that decision as well. I came to really depend on Nicole's design ideas and have been so happy with the results.

We had some concerns about clicks and pops in the flooring right after it was installed. All of that hasnow stopped after four months and we love the flooring.

It was about $16000 or $18000 for flooring and the installation. They are fantastic. They are professional. The floors look great. They are gorgeous and I have received compliments on them. I am going to use them for carpeting the downstairs. I spoke with the owner, he is just unbelievable, and his professionalism is incredible.

The selection and sales process went fine. The salesman (John) seemed to know his stuff. Although we intended to visit several companies that had good reviews on Angie's List, we ended up getting no other quotes because our interaction and feeling about City Carpets was so positive. I only have one complaint about the entire process. We paid extra for a special moisture barrier pad. When I asked John how the integrity of the moisture barrier would remain intact once they put staples through it, he said that they're supposed to glue the pad down. He also said that sometimes the installers attempt to staple it anyway, so I should watch them. Sure enough, the installers tried to staple the pad. When I stopped them and said I was told that it was supposed to be glued down, they looked at me like I was crazy. That was followed by a lot of back and forth in Spanish that I couldn't understand. Then the lead guy said, "We can glue it, but it will be very difficult to remove. I hope I never have to come back here to remove this carpet." He also told me it was impossible to glue the stairs. They ended up gluing only the perimeter in the bedrooms and stapling the stairs. This is unfortunate because the stairwell is the only carpeted location the dog has access to, and as such is the most likely place for the moisture barrier to be needed. Had we known they were going to staple the pad on the stairs, we probably would not have spent the money for the moisture barrier pad in the first place. I subsequently emailed this feedback to John, but I never got a response. If it were my company, I would certainly want to know if my employees were 1) installing the product incorrectly, and 2) telling customers that they hoped they never had to come back to do any more work. To be fair, however, I have no idea what the correct installation method is -- only what I was told.

My daughter's toilet overflowed and ruined the bedroom carpet. The house was listed for sale and an Open House was scheduled in 2 days. City Carpets came out and took out the old carpet and put in the new one within a day of my phone call! They understood my sense of urgency and were willing and able to get the work completed before the open house. Very happy!!!

I remodeled the master bedroom and we had to put carpeting in the walk-in closet. We had to buy new carpet from them and they pulled out the guest bedroom carpet and used it for the walk-in as it matched the closet. We are very happy with them. They were here when my wife was away. We called them and they looked up our file. They found the color we had before and they got something that matched the stuff in the hallway. They ordered that and once it came in they came out and tore out the carpet and re-did it. Our walk-in closet is all perfect, nice and snug and the new carpet went into our guest bedroom. They did a superb job. John has been very good with this. I would recommend him in a heart beat and we aren’t doing this again without him. Their price was reasonable. The guy who installed it was nice and John himself if impeccable. The salesman and the contact guy we had was John. They have 3-4 sales people.

It looks good. They did an excellent job on it. We have had no problems with the carpet.

My experience with them was good. They did what they said they would do. I will use them again in the future.

Ben was the salesman who helped me and was a very nice guy. The installation went very well, they did a great job. The service was superb at the store and the installation was great as well.
