They did an excellent job, told me their recommendation and they did exactly what they said they would do to trim out the branches of the trees and they did an excellent work. They were very responsive at that time, and it was very good. I have used them twice already.

They are really good. I give them an A on everything. We have been using them for 22 years. They trim our trees automatically and are very kind to our trees. We had a sick tree and they nursed it back. It's on a schedule. They usually do it at the end of February, but we had such heave rain He kept postponing and postponing but we had a really unusually wet rainy season. I always use them.

hey pruned the trees in a safely and professionally. They did major work on 4 of the trees (oak, olive, plum and persimmon). And minor shaping and cutting of two additional trees (liquid amber & apricot). They were very safety conscious and aware of the plants and structures around them, including a pool & electric wires. They were very aware and respectful of the neighbors properties. They cleaned up everything. The trees look terrific. There was a lot of interaction between myself and the crew so I was completely satisfied

They are excellent. They really have knowledge of trees and they can prolong the life of trees for a long time. They are a little pricey, but they're really good guys.

I'm not going anywhere else anymore. I used them years ago and was happy. Later years I tried to save a buck with less than satisfactory results. I believe and trust these guys.

As always, Bartlett was timely, neat and everything was done to my satisfaction. I should mention that a Bartlett expert comes to my house every January too assess my trees and their maintenance. I have had them for many years, and I would not give tree work to anyone other than Bartlett even though they are on the expensive side. Bartlett also cares for my roses with spraying during their dormant and blooming periods.

They came out and showed us what would be the quote and all that kind of stuff. They were fine. They were responsive and punctual. I don't have any problem.

The crew is punctual, efficient & friendly. They cover my adjacent plantings from dropping branches. They clean up all debris and haul it away. All in all I have been extremely pleased with their work. I am due to have them them back this fall. .I would recommend their services to anyone who may have a tree problem, or need the services of a licensed arborist.

Pros: very happy with the service. Sean (the arborist) called back immediately, came out the next weekend and surveyed the work including diagnosis of a sick tree. The team arrived on time, and trimmed exactly as I as I discussed with Sean. After the work was complete, Sean called me back personally to ensure everything was done to my satisfaction. Cons: They were very busy when I called, and were not able to scheduled my for 2 weeks. The price was high, but not unreasonable.

They were responsive and professional. They have a portable office in their truck so they printed out a quote for us right there at the house. They were higher than another company that I got a quote from.

The estimator arrived on time and was courteous. He had to get back to me with an estimate. The prices were higher than other estimates I obtained. Their stump grinder was too big to use in the narrow location where the dead tree was located. They referred me to another company for stump grinding, but that company did not have a small enough grinder to do the job. If I had used this company I would have been left with a stump in the ground.

They were great. They came out and gave me an estimate. We talked about the different trees and what they would do and what they would recommend. We agreed on a price and they came back when they said they would. They did exactly what they said at the exact price they said. They cleaned up everything. It was great. I had two people come out and they had the best price around. They told me the types of trees and that one of the fruits was edible which I was not aware of. They even ate one in front of me. They called me this year to see if I wanted them to come back out.

We have used Bartlett to do tree work on our heavily wooded property in Ross for over 25 years. They have always done a great job for us and it shows in the health and beauty of our many trees. Unfortunately, you can't please everybody. The negative review below was posted by our rear yard neighbor who is unhappy with the outcome of work we had Bartlett do. In a nutshell, there is a huge maple tree on our property that partially shades our neighbor's back yard (which is a shaded yard no matter what). We volunteered to have the tree trimmed to allow more sunlight to reach their yard. Since Bartlett was already scheduled to do other tree work on our property, we advised that we would have Bartlett do the work and we would share the cost. After Bartlett removed as much from the maple tree as we would allow, our neighbor expressed dissatisfaction and requested additional tree limb removal. We refused for the sake of the health and appearance of the tree. Our neighbor did not like this and decided to blame Bartlett. Nonsense - blame us if you are unhappy with our decision. Bartlett had nothing to do with it. In fact, Bartlett did a very good job for us once again.

Did not complete the job and refused to fix it. Suggested we ask a neighbor to trim their trees (basically asking for more money!!) We got several other price quotes from other companies that ranged from $200-$500, much less than Bartlett's ridiculously overpriced quote. However, we felt obliged to use this company out of respect for our neighbor (the tree is in her yard and she asked us to use "her tree guy"). Big mistake. Highway robbery.

I received four (4) quotes to either trim or remove an overgrown Monterey Pine tree from our small patio garden. Only two (2) of the Arborist I spoke with recommended a complete removal, as the tree was adjacent to a neighbors home and the roots of that tree appeared to be growing under the neighbor's foundation. The local manager, Juan Carrasco, from Bartlett Tree Experts came in at the lowest price and with the quickest time to schedule the work. Juan's crew arrived on time and carefully removed this four (4) story tree without damaging neighbors' property on either side of our garden. They worked carefully, but quickly and left the area clean afterwords. Working with Juan Carrasco and his crew was amazingly easy and I will hire them again, should I need them. The good luck was they removed that tree one day before a massive storm that may have caused damage to either ours or neighbors properties, should that tree had not been removed in time.

Excellent job and experience with Bartlett. Don came by and initially gave us a good idea of everything that needed to be done and clear up the trees to make it look clean and beautiful. The guys were up in the trees all day and did an excellent job. The trees all look healthy and less cluttered. We will definitely be having them over for a lot of the other work around the property. Their price was also in par with the competition if not less. Please call them and get a quote first before getting any work started. Thanks guys. Appreciate all the hard work.

Juan came out to bid on the job. Very professional in his approach. I wanted him to do some work on some pine trees, too, but he said we had to wait until the right time of year or we'd damage the trees. He provided a written estimate by email, detailing the work and the cost. I accepted the bid and scheduled the work. He showed up exactly on time (sounds like no big deal, but so many people can't seem to do that simple thing). His crew was with him, he talked them through the job and put them to work. I was expecting to write them a check at the end of the work, but he said they'd send me an invoice. Again, very professional in approach. Not just some guy with a truck and a set of saws. They did a great job. My next door neighbor even commented on how good the trees look now. I'll definitely have them back to take care of the pine trees and to handle other pruning needs in the future.

I received bids from various contractors to trim a Laurel tree and also do a major topping of bushes on the edge of my property. While all the bid amounts were comparable, the arborist who looked at my property from Bartlett was the only one suggesting I NOT have the bushes trimmed. Reason: Since they were trimmed only a year ago, it would overstress them; wait until next year. It's not often that contractors turn down work because it would be harmful to the homeowner--generally, they would prefer to get their fee. Their crew came on time, were obviously quite skilled, and did a fine job.

First appointment, a specialist came out and we walked the property and talked about the trees that concerned me. He discussed and identified many species of trees on my property, explaining the health and growth patterns. We agreed on major work on one tree that was right next to the house and a 10-20% reduction in another large tree in the back. He advised me to do some things to other trees to keep them healthy and finally suggested a chemical treatment for 3 birch trees on the property. He was very thorough and professional. From his observations, he wrote up a complete estimate of the work & cost. The second appointment was to complete the work. He met with his crew in the morning discussing the trees and what he meant by his estimate. The two-man crew was excellent and professional. They did all the work and clean-up in the pouring rain. I asked them to cut some low branches on a tree near the street and they were able to contact the specialist and add the additional labor to their assignment. The trees look great and healthy. I will use them again, even without the 10% discount offered through Angie's list

When workers arrived they knew exactly what to do. Don arrived shortly after they started, he was there working with and guiding them. They cleaned everything up and left the yard spotless. I highly recommend them and will use them in two years to thin the trees again
