Don LaForest and his crew did an outstanding job with this project. They were professional, reliable, and creative. Don not only gave me some great ideas about landscaping but also worked in some additional items that I thought of as the project progressed. The crew was fantastic! They showed up every morning on time and worked very hard all day long. As issues arose, Don and the crew used their extensive experience to figure them out and get the job done right. Don also went beyond what was contracted--he fixed a few things and added some extra plants that were not in the plan. He did this because he is a true professional and wanted the yards to look beautiful! I highly recommend Don LaForest and his crew for any landscaping projects you need done.

We had a completely overgrown front and back yard as well as major concrete disintegration in our pool decking. We also had massive water bills and wanted to put in drought tolerant plantings. We interviewed a lot of lanscape designer types, who we thought would produce beautiful designs, but we were worried that things would fall apart when interfacing with a separate contractor. So we decided to go with a combination contractor/landscape design person, but we were worried that someone who is primarily a contractor would have very limited lanscape design skills. We were TOTALLY happy with Don LaForest. We wanted our yard completely succulents and cacti. He knew every name, what every plant needed, what plant should go where and next to which other plants (and should not be near the pool), etc. He provided the design and we totally agreed with his aesthetic vision. He took care of the demolition, removal and replacing of dirt, planting, lighting, irrigation, etc. He went with us to pick out boulders and stone. His workmen were very pleasant and cleaned up at the end of every day. The quality of the stonework (that went over the large area of disintegrating concrete) is exceptional! We would strongly, strongly, strongly recommend Don LaForest!

I bought an old home on a double lot, and although the house had been updated, the outdoor areas were largely barren due to a nonfunctional irrigation system. But now I can be proud of my home, thanks to Don La Forest and his excellent crew at La Forest Landscaping. They refurbished the sprinkler system, completely re-landscaped, and installed outdoor lighting in a little over a week. Don, a multi-generational native of the South Bay with nearly 30 years of experience in landscaping, consulted with my wife and me several times regarding plant selection and outdoor light placement. He has a wonderful aesthetic and great knowledge of native and non-native plants. Don clearly loves plants, his life's work, and his goal is his customer's contentment. He even promised that any plants we were not happy with could be exchanged. Don's crew worked hard and never left a mess at the end of a day.All work is guaranteed and Don encouraged me to call with any questions or concerns.
