+ -1 moreJuan started work on 7-02-09 with one helper. They layed paper and mesh and then stuccoed everything. They then layed 24x24 tiles with a 32nd inch grout line. The work was carefully andf expertly performed. The exact layout and grout lines were discussed with me. When Juan had a question he would ask me about it. Juan was very professional and easy to deal with.

+ -1 moreJuan and helper did all the work. He came and looked at the area, recommended where to get the tile (I purchased materials - tile and grout) at a discount as the store knew him. Scheduled the job for the next week and was done in 3 days. Came back 3 days after that to seal the grout. It was perfect!
Description of Work: Removal of carpet from sun room of approx 3,000 sq ft. Laid down cement base and installed spanish tile floor.

+ 2 moreI saw his work and knew it was good. I thought his price was very reasonable. It took me a while to get a hold of him, but when I did he came when he said he would. He gave me a good bid. He did what he said he was going to do and finished the job in about four days. He had a helper who was a nice guy too. There was one small thing that I didn't like so I asked him if he would change it and he did with no problem.
Description of Work: He replaced the countertop and grout in the kitchen, replaced the floor in the bathroom, and scraped out the grout at the bottom of the shower and replaced it. He also removed and installed a new sink.

+ -1 moreThe start of work was delayed (due to circumstances on both our parts), however once started, went right on schedule, organized well and completed in 6 days. Juan and other workers were usually right on time, but late a couple of days. Work was done carefully and result is beautiful. Juan was very responsive to some changes I requested and did not charge extra for doing this.
Description of Work: Installing porcelain tile on kitchen counter, kitchen floor and entry floor. I purchased the tile; Juan supplied all other materials, including plywood to rebuild counter top.

Description of Work: Juan and his people installed a fireplace surround for me. It was a complicated design in marble, simple to look at, but difficult to execute and with many unique trim details. Custom features and work were accomplished beautifully and with great care. They were timely and stayed to the cost estimate. I cannot give them enough praise for the work they did and now that I have used them in my own home I will use them on client jobs in the future.

He was very careful to line up the tile edges perfectly, taking extra time where he saw a problem and I didn't. He is easy to work with and talk to, very accommodating!! He definitely goes out of his way to do a high quality job for a very fair price!
Description of Work: Juan re-faced my large brick fireplace with 12" marble tiles. It looks magnificent! He is a true craftsman and magician, with really great ideas! The newly tiled fireplace is just awesome! It really changes the look of the house. Thank you Juan!

+ -1 moreI called them and scheduled a time for the work to be done. He told me he would be able to do it in a couple of weeks. I had to repeatedly call him. He kept telling me he would come next week. Every time I called him he put me off. I was told he would come on 7/9/07 but he never showed up. I called him when he didn't show up and was told he had woken up too late and wouldn't be able to perform the job.
Description of Work: I wanted a shower completely retiled as well as a bathtub.

+ 0 moreJuan is a very nice, professional person. He supplied all the materials needed and completed the work in a short period of time although the great quality shows that he did take his time. He kept the entire bathroom very neat and cleaned up everything after the work was completed.
Description of Work: Juan replaced a cement board in a 3 inch by 3 inch area behind our bathtub faucet. He then re-tiled the area of the wall with matching tile that was previously there.

+ 0 moreJuan was on time, he did a beautiful job and completely cleaned up all traces of having worked in the kitchen and bathroom. No mess from him inside or outside! Juan has great ideas with his tile work, is wonderfully cooperative, and does extras to enhance the appearance of the job - far better ideas than I had! He is a great craftsman as well as being a really nice, decent person!
Description of Work: He tiled the kitchen counter and bathroom tub/shower area. He also did an area behind the stove for no extra charge because, as he suggested, with tile on the wall behind the stove I would be able to keep the area cleaner when cooking. I strongly recommend him!
