+ -1 moreOverall a very positive experience. Anthony came out within a day to give me an estimate and to measure the skylight. It was a custom order so it took about 2 weeks for the skylight to come in. He showed up on time and was done with both installs within about an hour. Very professional. I would certainly call him again for future work.
Description of Work: Installed a custom sized skylight replacement (double paned plastic domed skylight) and a solar attic fan. The skylight replaced a 30 yr old original skylight that was cracked and drafty. The attic fan was new and installed on a flat roof.

+ -1 moreI thought they did a very professional job. Both the sales person and the installer were very helpful by figuring out the best options available. I thought their prices were very fair compared to installing the alternative type of skylights. I was very happy with the results.
Description of Work: I had four solar tube skylights installed in the ceilings of my home. Two were in the living room and one in each of the two bedrooms. The job was completed in about 1/2 a day.

+ -1 moreThe nice folks at Solar Light Express showed me the solar tube options (I decided on one with a built-in fluorescent light since these are required by code in my home town for bathroom remodels) at their showroom, I placed an order the next day, and the following day, they showed up promptly at my house to install my solar tube. (They feel that these can easily be installed by the homeowner, but I'm definitely not a DIY gal and my bathroom re-modeler has enough things to deal with without adding solar-tube installation to his task list.) I can't entirely asses what it will look like once the remodel is done, since there's currently no ceiling, but it certainly brightens up my previously dark bathroom and, ironically, might actually be so bright that I may decide to have the optional dimmer put it once the bathroom is finally functional again.
Description of Work: Installed a solar tube with a built-in fluorescent light in my half-remodeled bathroom.

+ -1 moreAlthough I intended to have a bid on the installation of solar tubes in another area of my home, Mr. Choi spotted the breakfast area and suggested putting a tube there. It is a space with no natural light exposure. It was an excellent opportunity that I had not considered. The work was accomplished in about three hours on the weekend so I could be there. The work area was covered and promptly cleaned up. I love the result and am reporting this company expressly because of the excellent outcome, prompt, and experienced installation and problem-free experience.
Description of Work: Solar Light Express installed a solar tube in my breakfast area. The tube extends from my ceiling to the roof and allows natural light into an area with no outside exposure. What a difference, even in foggy San Francisco!
