We recently worked with Sequoia on a front yard redesign, as well as a drainage and irrigation revamp following a home renovation project and are extremely happy with the process and results! Communication was outstanding from the get-go - Will performed the initial consultation and after laying out our various options, expertly weaved our project wants and needs into our limited front yard space - always quick getting back to us with answers to project tweaks and changes. Hayleigh (their plant expert) was great to work with, as she listened to what we liked about our previous plant variety and provided a really nice plant selection and layout. Once the shovels hit the ground, Jonathan and Alonzo communicated proactively the entire duration of the project and kept to an efficient project schedule, completing everything within budget and scope - with an outstanding-looking result. A special shout-out to the yard demo and install crew, who worked long days through a heat wave and were always friendly and courteous. We would highly recommend this professional and hard-working team!

Great experience all around! The Sequoia team has done a fantastic job on our rather a larger-scale project. Both Will and Haley went above and beyond to ensure our project stayed on track despite a couple of changes along the way, which was much appreciated as we began the work in March with a hope to complete it by early June to have the whole summer to enjoy our new beautiful outdoor space. To our delight, the work was done right as planned! We worked with Sequoia on a backyard project (expansion and drainage) this past summer (2023). We loved working with Will. He had great ideas and was flexible and open to considering and incorporating our ideas- which turned into an absolutely beautiful space. He was also willing to work within our budget. In fact, he recommended a tweak to our original ideas to maximize our funds and as a result, we have a much more beautiful, practical, and useable space. Regarding drainage, I am happy to report that after all the rain so far this season, we have been waking up to a completely dry patio. Each storm has brought massive amounts of water that have drained perfectly. As a comparison, last year we had a swap in multiple parts of the yard. It may not be where you want to spend your budget, but if you have drainage problems, it is well worth it. Side note, we also referred Sequoia to a friend who had a smaller budget project, and they did a beautiful job for them as well. Therefore, no job too big or too small. Cannot wait to use our yard this summer. Highly recommend!

We worked with Sequoia Outdoor Design and Build on our backyard and front yard to improve drainage problems and spruce up the exterior as it hadn't been touched in over a decade. Will and the Sequoia team instantly stood out among the rest of the estimates we received as he suggested a number of different options that would be functional, drought tolerant and achieve the aesthetic we were looking for, while staying within our budget. Our job was extensive, including the demolition of an old concrete patio and driveway, installation of french drains, pavers, turf, and lights along with some drought tolerant plants. Like most remodel projects, there were a couple hiccups along the way with some defective batches of materials and delays beyond the team's control. There were also some minor issues that had to be corrected along the way, but the team was keenly aware of the details and made sure to resolve these quickly. Throughout the process, Will was highly communicative, patient and responsive to our questions pre-, during, and post-installation. We appreciate that the crew worked hard to keep us on schedule and minimize delays when possible. While we're waiting to see what the next season of storms might bring, if we had to do it all over again, we wouldn't hesitate to work with Will and Sequoia Outdoor Design and Build and highly recommend them.

I was looking for a company to replace my outdoor landscape lighting with higher quality fixtures and better focus on the features of the property. Will scheduled time to come by and look at the task, and had great ideas right out of the gate. With LED fixtures and an app to control things, the new fixtures are a pleasure to look at and to use. He added a resort quality glow to parts of the place that I love. His company is professional, responsive, and communicative about the work they are doing. I'll hire him in the future.

We worked with Sequoia for redoing our back yard with a new patio and artificial turf. Will was very easy to brainstorm with, helped us plan out the project, and kept the whole thing very organized. We had a deadline to be ready before a weekend party, and the crew worked in heat and rain to get done a full week ahead of the event. Everything looks crisp and professional, and was done in a steady, organized fashion without any surprises. I'm absolutely bringing them back for the work we need in the front yard.
