I first scheduled a walk-through with Jimy, but she had to cancel due to a childcare obligation. She gave me a decent amount of notice, and was actually able to give an estimate over the phone, based on my answering some questions on the house. I still wanted her to review the home, just in case and we were able to reschedule just fine. Afterwards, she gave the same estimate. On the day of the cleaning, the minivan arrived about 15 minutes late - not a big deal except that I had to get up very early and commute to this location only to wait. There were 4 people that arrived - one was the Project Manager who was bilingual and reviewed the house with me, and asked about any special requests (like helping with rolling up the rugs), and any oddities. Once she got that information, she translated it to the crew of 3. The crew could understand English - 1 more than others and I can speak Spanish, so there were no issues around miscommunication. They reiterated questions they had about things that weren't just right, to make sure I knew (ie bleach stain on the carpet, a blind that was already bent, etc.), which was fine. It took about 5-6 hours to clean everything. They had special cloth covers for their shoes, when they worked around the house, which was helpful since I'd had the upstairs dry cleaned before they came. They also worked around our handyman who was finishing up his tasks. They did a very good job; as they finished up and the Project Manager came to pick them up, it was a little strange that no one asked me to review the house cleaning. I managed to do so briefly as I noticed they were leaving. The upstairs blinds were well cleaned. Downstairs, a couple cobweb clumps were missed though I had seen a person wiping those particular blinds, so I'm not sure how a cobweb clump was missed. Also, I'm not sure if one of the rooms, which was almost entirely covered by an area rug, had its wood floor swept & mopped. The edges still appeared dusty. (Note: the floors are old and not in great condition - they should be resanded but we just decided to sweep & mop them.)
Description of Work: I got Jimy's name first from a realtor in the area, and then chose her based on her having an Angie's List listing. We needed our home deep cleaned to prepare for renting out. This did not include steam cleaning the carpet, but it did include cleaning the bathrooms, tiles, walls, windows inside (and outside on the first floor), blinds, kitchen equipment, sweeping & mopping wood floors, vacuuming area rugs, and rolling up some carpet to help put into the garage.
