Description of Work: I called because electricity was out in the kitchen, dining room, and bedroom. Jeff arrived within an hour of my call. He immediately diagnosed and fixed the problem, fixed a malfunctioning outlet, and a broken closet light switch. Very happy with Jeff's service and his professionalism.

The furnace repairman undid all the electrical connections in my furnace and then referred me to two electricians who refused to climb up to my attic to repair the loose wiring. Jeff was fearless. He put my furnace back together and climbed into the attic twice to fix the wiring problem. He was efficient, fast, easy to work with, and arrived when he said he would.

When he arrived he quickly assessed the problem and fixed it within a half hour. He was very clear about his hourly rate before starting on the work and the final charge was quite reasonable. I recommend him to those who need electrical work. Jeff is a very personable guy and I would definitely call on him again.

Description of Work: A teenager lost control of his car and drove into my living room wall. The electrical outlet in the wall was crushed but the wire was still "hot". For safety reasons the firemen who arrived at the scene turned off the circuit that this outlet is on. This circuit, however, controls my refrigerator and the overhead lighting in my bathroom. Temporarily I put the refrigerator on an extension cord and brought a lamp into the bathroom. Clearly neither workaround is safe, so my insurance company authorized me to hire an electrician to disable the crushed outlet so that the circuit could get turned back on until the actual living room repairs begin. This is a routine, small electrical repair, but an important repair because it is necessary for safety. I contacted three electricians, two on Angie's List and another whom I've seen in my neighborhood. Jeff responded quickly. He set up an appointment for the next day. I left work to meet him. He arrived right on time. He was in and out and I got back to work barely missed. He was fast, courteous, a good electrician. His fee was very reasonable. The other two electricians I contacted never bothered to get back to me to say they weren't interested. I will definitely contact Jeff the next time I need electrical work.

We ended up doing the electrical as part of the larger job. That's why we didn't choose J Lewis Electric. We would use him in the future if we needed to.
