INNOVATION PAINTING

.Daniel was very personalbe, responsive and professional. Because the room I wanted to paint had old oil-based paint throughout, we had to find a compatible product, so the paint was expensive. Two coats of paint required more than the half day I had allotted to paint the room, so there was an extra charge. All in all, however, I was extremely happy with the job Daniel performed and will definitely use him again when I paint the rest of my house.

Having had a very good experience with Daniel & Innovation Painting several years ago for a $4000 job, I called them for a quote on a multi-unit building. The first time, I left a voicemail, and got no response. I called back about a week later, and got Daniel in the middle of a job. He couldn't talk because he was on the ladder, but asked me to text him my phone number so he could call back later. I texted immediately, adding a reminder of the reason of my call: large paint job. No return call. If you can't talk b/c it's unsafe, don't answer the phone. If you do answer, or have a voice mail system, return the call.

Daniel and his team were exceedingly honest, thorough and professional and could not have been easier to work with. He listened carefully to our needs (the wood trim on our house was beginning to crack & peel along with other issues) and gave sage professional advice with no "upsell" whatsoever (we had 2 other estimates for the same work). While performing the work, he found a few other paint issues that we had overlooked and worked tirelessly until everything was complete. We were extremely pleased with the quality of his work and the price he quoted was considerably lower than the other 2 estimates we received. I would highly reccomend Daniel to anyone and look forward to using him again someday.

Putting the date is misleading, as Daniel did such a good job on our 'coupon day' that we kept having him back until our whole house was painted. Without question Daniel is the hardest working painter we have ever employed. He is so careful protecting everything so nothing gets damaged, and does a really super job. We wanted the walls and ceilings the same colour right through and our home looks just great now. We emptied the rooms, including taking down curtains, curtain rails, and fixtures, so that they spent all their time painting. They were very ready to help if we had not been able to do so though. Another thing that worked really welll for us is that Daniel and his staff were happy to come just one day a week to give us time to put everything back in the newly painted room and clear the next room ready for them. As well as being so professional and hardworking they were polite, and friendly. We were entirely comfortable with them in our home. I cannot recommend this business highly enough

We purchased a coupon that allowed for 7 hours of professional painting. (This did not include paint or primer.) Daniel Morra was very responsive. We set up an appointment to review the trim and determine how much work needed to be done. Daniel advised us how much paint and primer to buy and where to purchase it so we could take advantage of his discount. Several dates were set but it rained each time. Finally, we scheduled a date without rain and Daniel, plus a helper, managed to complete the entire job in one day. (For one person, this would have been a two day job.) He is a very hard worker and an extremely nice person. They did a very good job and we were pleased. I would definitely hire him again.

Apparently they are quite busy because they couldn't schedule my home for approx 5 weeks. Part of this was due to weather and was ok for us since we didnt have a stringent timeline. originally the work was scheduled may 22 but they completed a job early and we moved the date by 2 weeks. It was a smooth process once work was started. the crew was quite professional, lots of attention to detail and I love the way our home looks. its almost like a totally new home. Of the 3 bids I received, this was the only one to advise me to have the bushes next to house trimmed to prevent damage. I will definitely use this company again for interior work.

I bought a coupon to have 7 hours of painting for $199.00. This was a fabulous deal! Daniel Morra went above and beyond to make sure I had my painting job done on time. He was very respectful of my home and furnishings, and very professional in his job. As I am having carpet replaced with laminate next, and we had to remove the wall bases and paint down the wall, he showed me how to do it right. I was impressed and have already arranged to have him come back at his normal rate to do the stairwell and upstairs. He was most accommodating and willing to work with me to achieve the best result. Daniel was delayed in arriving the first day because of a major accident on the freeway between his place and mine. He called to let me know. He then stayed until the full seven hours were complete, even though it was late. During the day he educated me on many aspects of his work and invited me to check out his webpage, where he provides lots of helpful hints to do-it-yourself amateurs. I have learned a lot. He was open to my assisting in things like removing the baseboards, and he let me use his tools, some of which were very valuable and amazing finds. I had decided to paint all the doors myself, leaving the walls and ceiling to Daniel to handle. He gave me extremely detailed instruction as to the best way to paint the doors, including what kind of brushes and rollers to use, and what to do when the weather is so warm that the paint is drying too fast. His guidance was extremely valuable and relevant. I must say that I haven't had people come into my home to do big jobs before, so I didn't know what the normal etiquette was. I offered water as well as a healthy salad lunch, and Daniel was beyond grateful. I am not patting myself on the back as much as just noting that he made the experience very positive for me from the viewpoints of having a high quality job done, of learning a lot for future projects, and just having a genuinely nice human being doing the work.

Juan was on time, reviewed all the painting job that needs to be done, suggested different options. For exterior, he said he's going to power wash and paint. Very good in following up and applied Angielist 10% discount (ongoing deal). Due to my budget limitations I had to go with a handyman. I wish I could use his services but would consider him on my next painting job.

Hi work is great. The results are great. He was very thorough and very easy to work with. I highly reccoment him.

He would not honor the coupon value which was supposed to be $490.00 off the service. He got mad when we requested this and he told us to call Angie's List back and get a refund. His prices were high to begin with as he quoted $1,200.00 for the service. This was not a good experience.

the quality of the work was outstanding. on october 25 innovation painting arrived, worked on the exterior projects, completing power washing, prep, decks, furniture and front of the house. upon completion of the exterior, the living room, dining room, music room and entry hall were prepared for painting. today, november 11, 2011 the kitchen will be completed. the company owner, daniel, is working and on the job the entire time, is extremely knowledgable, and very dedicated to providing a an excellent customer experience while maintaining a very high level of quality. he is determined to make the customer happy and is willing to do small handyman projects that need doing in order to provide outstanding service. overall, i couldn't be more pleased and have asked for a quote on other areas on my house and will definitely use innovation painting and recommend innovation painting in the future. Daniel Morra of Innovation Painting brought my house back from the dead. He went above & beyond the to provide whatever was necessary to complete the job to professional standards. His skilled craftsmanship, work ethic, and services are outstanding, at very reasonable prices. He took on my job knowing the scope of work and rugged environment posed a big challenge. He devised creative solutions, gave expert paint color advice, and stuck with the job through thick and thin. Daniel and his crew protected all the walls to limit the drywall compound that gets smeared on the ceiling surfaces from getting on the walls, replaced the old nails with wood screws and used several coats of the compound to ensure an even surface. They worked hard at limiting the amount of dust that moved into the rest of the house and sealed off each room when they were sanding. Once the ceilings were prepped they primed and painted them with several coats of paint to ensure a consistent finish. They even went out with me to obtain a portable vacuum cleaner with a HEPA filter to ensure as much of the drywall dust was cleared out of the rooms. They also wiped down the walls with damp towels to remove the residue that penetrated through the protective sheeting. It was a very messy, and hot project, especially because we had several hot days while they were doing the work, yet Daniel and his crew kept a very positive attitude, double checked details and consistently asked me to evaluate their work to ensure I was satisfied with the results throughout the project. It was very disruptive to have to move all our belongings and deal with tons of dust, and Daniel and his crew handled the challenges of this project with great consideration to our stress.

Daniel used a special elastomeric compound that will give flexibility to the wall when the house settles and then painted it. He worked very carefully to ensure that the crack did not get bigger when he removed old caulking that prior owners had used and spent quite a bit of time spreading the new compound to even it out with the adjacent stucco. He used several coats of paint and made sure to apply it it a way that would match the finish of the stucco. The repair looked fantastic. He even offered to do some touch up painting to a couple of front posts and on the exterior house that had paint scratched while he waited for the compund on the crack to properly dry.

Daniel showed up and immediately spent several hours prepping all the surface areas that would be exposed while he would be working on the doors. All floor areas were meticulously protected, he carefully taped edges to avoid any paint from bleeding and since we had so many doors that he had to work on, he had to use our garage and back deck. He protected the floors and wall areas in the garage and deck as well. He had an excellent attitude, even when the doors were not cooperating, he often stayed into the early evening to ensure that a door was not left part-way done and he always cleaned up. He had a young assistant to help him for part of the job and they were both very polite, friendly and also checked in with me to let me know how the project was progressing. Despite the disruption of having every door and window surface throughout the house being worked on, he made dealing with the chaos a lot easier because of his high attention to detail, his professionalism, and his willingess to be creative when the doors presented challenges.

Daniel and his team were always professional, punctual, and communicative. Daniel met with us on several occasions to provide an initial estimate, then to address questions about the job. We have an older home with lead paint issues--it was obvious that Innovation Painting is lead-certified as they were very attentive to health concerns involving the lead paint and took thorough precautions. What distinguished their service was the details: they helped us out in small ways by painting our address plaque the same color as our trim paint; they took photos of the house before and after and sent them to us as soon as they finished the job; they offered to refinish our wooden front door using an Angie's List coupon (no extra charge); and they touched base with us regularly to update us on the service. The quality of the exterior paint job was good, not exceptional, but that's something we agreed to in advance since our home is older and has a lot of rough spots (e.g. old wood trim that will eventually need to be replaced, etc.) In retrospect, the price may have been a bit high given the ultimate quality of the job, but we recognize that our old home (with the lead paint) presented a special challenge and may have taken longer than another home of the same size. What you're paying for with Innovation Painting is excellent service and attention to detail--you can rest assured these guys will be on time, they'll answer your calls and emails, and they'll provide top-notch communication throughout the job.

I called Daniel and he came out within one day to look over the exterior of my house and provide an estimate for painting. He was very responsive and knowlegeable. My house has two stories, is about 2500 sq ft and sits on the ridge of a canyon, so painting the exterior is no easy job. Daniel seemed to have a lot of experience and was easy to talk to. I felt he would have done an excellent job on my house, but his estimate turned out to be outside my budget. I received estimates from five different painting companies and his was not the highest, but was on the higher end. Daniel was easy to work with and I will defintely try working with him on other projects in the future.

I really liked this company. The quote was a bit expensive. He was very responsive and would probably do an excellent job, but I couldn't go as high as he was quoting.

Positives: Attention to detail - Daniel found and fixed errors in previous paintjobs, without any incremental cost or hassle Thoroughness of job - where Daniel found trim that needed to be sanded or re-finished he just did it - even though we hadnt discussed that as part of the scope of the job Transparent Pricing - this was discussed over the phone and never changed, though I will admit that the job was a little more complicated than Daniel understood when he initially quoted Pride of Workmanship - Daniel is proud of his work and loves what he does. This was reflected in the quality of the work and his general demeanor on site Recommended 'tricks' of the trade - Daniel was able to use some tricks he knows to reduce the odor from the paint as it dried Environmental awareness - Daniel was very aware of the environmental impact of various painting techniques, and discussed ways that his painting firm is on the leading edge of sustainability practices Overall I would strongly recommend Daniel and will invite him back to the house when we have our next paint job.

our doors' clear finish turned white and we couldn't figure out what the probelm was. We tried to fix it ourselves but it didn't work out. non of the painting companies we talked to were familiar with the problem, including the manufacturer of the clear finish. however, Daniel, the owner of Innovation painting said that he will take care of it personallly, which he did. that was the main reason that we decided to hire him. Daniel worked long hours patiently stripping the doors to the bare wood and reapplied the stain and finish. he did a very thorough work, researching on the problem and carefully removing the old finish without damaging the wood. finally, after he finished the job all the doors look like new. he also paid attention to every little spot and made sure that he didn't miss anything. he was very organized and professional. i definitely recommend him, and will use his service in the future

Daniel is an excellent painter - great quality, reasonably priced, and able to handle small issues that inevitably arise when painting. After he did such a great job of painting our 2-story house, I made him the painter for all of my commercial buildings. He's always done a great job, and handled our tenants with patience and professionalism. Highly recommended.

They completed everything on time and always cleaned up after themselves. They were able to accommodate any changes we made to the project as well. The owner was quite personable, easily approachable, and attentive. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!
