Deans Brush Painting Contractors

They were supposed to start on Monday when we first spoke. Kyle Dean said they couldn't start until Wednesday when he came over to sign the contract. I told him my movers were coming the following Wednesday and specifically asked if they would be finished before then. He said they would be. On Wednesday, he called in sick. On Thursday, he said they would work weekends to make up the time. As far as I can tell he had two painters working on my house, at most. No one worked more than 1/2 day on the Saturday. No one worked on Sunday. Two weeks later, they still weren't finished. Nail holes were not filled, as promised. Trim was not repaired as promised. There was wall paint on the trim and trim paint on the walls, grout that shouldn't have been painted, was. There was paint spatter on flooring. By this time, I had to move out of my rental. The movers had had to put my stuff in the middle of the main living area or in the back yard. The stuff in the back yard got rained on. I had covered it with a tarp so the damage was minimal. I used to own a house that was much larger. The painters who did that house took a week. to paint a house that people were living in. For this job, they had a smaller empty house and they couldn't deliver.

Dean responded very quickly and provided an estimate. The estimate was relatively generic in nature but through phone conversations and email it was very easy to determine the full scope of the job and estimate. In the end I received 3 separate proposals and went with another company, but would not hesitate to request a proposal and perhaps use Dean's Brush in the future. Very Professional.

They did an excellent job and we would most certainly use them again should we have the need in the future.

Both companies had competitive bids. Ultimately we selected Kyle's team because he related to my daughter well and told her his team would do the best job ever painting her room. So my daughter was sold. Kyle was right. His team did a fantastic job. We have those textured walls that can be really tough to cut in without getting paint on the ceiling. His team did a fantastic job and even taught us their technique, should we want to do it ourselves. They also used their cut in technique in places we didn't even think was possible (btwn windows and shutters). Quality job and we are very happy. We would hire again.
