Description of Work: Complete Solar Solutions installed a 35 panel solar electric system on my house. What sold me on this company was that they used the most efficient panels available at the time and were willing to give me a 15-year guarantee on power production. No other company that I talked to offered such a guarantee.

Description of Work: Designed and installed full residential solar system for our primary residence. We purchased the system, but they also have lease or loan packages. Their bid was priced better than our other two proposal submissions (from two of the more public, well-known solar companies). Installation and their crew was all very professional. Definitely recommend to others as one of the proposals you should obtain for this major investment.

Description of Work: They installed 14 panels for a total of 3.29 kW. The installation was fine, although it took longer than expected to get PG&E approval and get the system up and running. The system worked fine for the first 2 years until we changed cable providers in 2014, then we no longer had the ability to monitor the solar output. After a few months a technician came out and was able to get the monitoring system working. It worked until August. Someone came out again in Sept. and concluded that a new circuit board was needed. After that I did not hear anything despite several phone calls and emails. Finally someone came out in December to replace the circuit card, but was still unable to provide me with instantaneous output information. I am now however to see historical data, except for the time from Aug - Dec 2014 when I show 0 kW generated. The product seems OK, however the customer service after installation leaves much to be desired.

 + -1 moreComplete Solar was very helpful with the solar estimate process. The representative (Josh) explained matters very well, and was very good at making complex economic considerations clear. He was happy to answer my very long list of questions, and proceeded to go above and beyond to get me accurate numbers by doing multiple roof measurements for my complex roof situation (at Complete Solar's extra expense). He was very responsive via phone and email, and promptly delivered my estimates via email. I ultimately decided to go with a competitor for my installation, but that was due to a specific panel brand choice, not a reflection of Complete Solar's quote or level of service. I would highly recommend Complete Solar to anyone.

Description of Work: Before Complete Solar, my monthly electric bill was $337/month ($4,044 per year). The only additional requirement I had was the solar panels must be manufactured in the United States. Complete Solar did their study with the information from me, measured the roof space needed for the solar panels. To accommodate the kilowatt/hours to reduce my electricity costs, 35 solar panels were needed. Then a contract was prepared, agreed to by my family, and copies submitted to Southern California Edison and to the city for their approvals. Once approvals were received, Complete Solar did their magic and by early January 2014, I have solar power. Complete Solar did a very recommendable job, cleaned up after themselves, and ably matched the paint where it is hard to tell the difference between 2-year old paint to the paint used to cover the walls that were repaired. Through 12/1/14, my average electricity bill per month is $203 and no bills from the Edison Company.

 + -1 moreThey installed my system expeditiously, but the Contra Costa County Building Inspector wanted them to use a larger grade of wire and a higher ampere rated circuit breaker than was required by the amperage of the installation. His lack of availability and insistence on changes delayed approval of the installation for a month, although it was ultimately approved. Complete Solar Solutions paid my electric bill for that month, thereby living up to their production guarantee. It was that guarantee that caused me to choose them as my solar contractor.

I ended up with 5kwh system installed and complete solar took care of everything including rebates. after 2 years, I replaced the roof and they took care of the solar panel un-mounting and re-install. very happy with their customer service and highly recommend them.

I have zero complaints about the installation, subcontractor, or equipment, and am very pleased with results. The electrician who installed their system remarked to me that he enjoyed working with Complete because they use top of the line components. The staff at Complete Solar young, competent and enthusiastic. Their pricing seemed fair. The field is competitive. The actual price of the panels is dropping. Their business is basically built around selling, and designing the system. They project manage the installation and permitting process. It's pretty much a piece of cake.
