Western Exterminator

I noticed what I thought was termite droppings. They verified. Then a couple of days later, a subcontractor - for tenting came to measure the house to see how much material and how labor intensive it would be (I live on a steep hillside, and my house goes down three stories). I told the tenter of other quotes I had received, he told me that this is a slow period, because the housing market is slowing, which means less people or tenting because they are not selling their homes. He went back to Western and Western came in with a price that was a thousand dollars less then the next closest bid. No company came close to counter that price. The company that tented is on 624 Eckoff St.,Orange. They did an adequate job. They knocked off an 8" piece of trim, and they did not tell me, I found it on the ground. Also a few weeks after tenting, I needed to use my scissors, couldn't find it, don't know what happened to it. Roy and Western were great.

Inspection performed by western; prompt, neat, professional, knowledgeable, fumigated done by doctor fume; seemed to do good job with no major damage done to plants.

Technician arrived, donned protective clothing, and crawled under the house to locate the source of a bad odor we had been experiencing. He found a large dead possum, removed it, and disposed of it for us. He was pleasant and cheerful throughout.

I have had them for awhile. They are friendly and professional. I have used other services that they provide. They always show up when they say they are going to. They will call me before the appointment to remind me that they are coming. I have had no problems with this company or bugs!

We have a yearly contract with them. Their rates are comparable with other companies. They are reliable and professional. We had called them in the past for a rat problem. The service tech had given us his personal cell phone number and was out every day to check the traps. I would recommend them.

I like using Western Exterminators. They re a really great company that has always been good at giving me feedback. They have been reliable as well. They are professional, clean, and thorough every time they come.

The whole experience was professional and pleasant. Tom was straightforward in his assessment and estimate. He explained the advantages of Termidor, which has a three year warranty. Christopher was pleasant, polite, and worked steadily throughout the day. There was little disruption for us: since the chemical is injected under the ground, we and our pets did not have to leave the house. This was a very satisfactory service.

Called Western on a Tuesday after a different company failed to show up on the date that it was agreed upon (our renters waited through the 4 hr window, and never got a phone call to let them know that the appointment needed to be rescheduled, just a bad experience with that other company overall). But thank God for Western Exterminator. They were able to fit us in first thing on the Thursday of the same week. I was not present at the time of service, but my tenants tell me that it was a good experience. The treatment comes with a 30 day guarantee. The price paid I thought was a bit on the high side however, but no blame on Western in particular because I called around and that is the going price for the spraying of two rooms with just about most companies out there. In my opinion the spraying of two rooms should not be over $100 just to be fair.

They wanted to tent my house to treat for termites. I know the problem isn't that bad. The man was nice enough but I think he was trying to sell something I didn't really need.

They are very good at what they do. I had to dispose of 4 rat traps that were left behind but that does not mean they are a bad company. I have been very satisfied with their work and the prices are comparable to others.

They really do a good job and there are never any problems with them. They are professional and quick. They know exactly what to do and how to do it. I would recommend them to other people any time. They have reasonable prices as well.

I will say these guys did a terrible job. First of all they did not get rid of the fleas. After a month they said they would come back and never did. Then they kept charging me for two months without having any work done. I would never recommend them.

The estimator from WESTERN showed up on time and was very thorough in his inspection. One thing we weren't happy with was his poking holes in termite infested trim on the outside of the house assuming we would hire WESTERN to replace the trim. We complained, so he promised to send someone to patch the holes. This was not ever done. It was our plan to have someone else do the wood replacement at a later time. WESTERN did a good job on the subterranean treatment. On the fumigation/tenting, the subcontractor tore up our flower beds, shrubs, etc. They did show up on time for set up and removal of the tent.

The fumigation subcontractor was excellent. The instructions and food protection bags were OK. The work was done on schedule.

Extremely well. Very professional service and effective. The wasps were gone in one trip.

The company is very responsive to calls. Service is usually performed quickly and follow up calls are made to check on completion. Special needs are responded to, and pests seem under control after our first 6 months of service.

Louie Castillo, the inspector, was very polite. He was sensitive to my environmental concerns and my refusal to consider tenting the house. He explained various alternatives. I ended up using a less-invasive chemical treatment method. I have used natural remedies in the past for termites, but none of them worked and it cost a fortune! The repair work was very well done. The crew was very conscientious about the garden and left no mess behind. Very impressed with all the employees.

Derek showed up on time, told me what he was doing and the price; also, it took a couple days for bees go away.

We have been having a severe ant infestation, both inside and outside. Tried spraying an exterior perimeter myself, but to no avail. Hired Western Exterminator (after checking options out on Angie's List and making phone calls.) and they were able to be out the next day (Saturday). The scheduler gave good instructions on what we needed to do in preparation. They set a two hour time window and arrived within that. The technician discussed the problem with me, and told me precisely what he was going to do and the results we should expect. He was sensitive to the fact that we have babies, dogs, and fish and took appropriate precautions. Technician was polite and informed. Just 24-hours later, and we have seen only a few straggling ants around the house!

Was stressful getting ready and out of the property. They did kill some plants that should not have gotten touched, and also told me they couldn't open a garage that I came home and had no trouble opening, but probably no more problems than any exterminating. Price was a little less than second estimate and my inspector was very good about calling me right away and returning calls.

He had a hand pump with this powder and he said he was going to put that into the holes where the bees were. He had to put on protective clothing. He did most of the holes pretty good. He followed it up with a liquid spray. It took about a half hour 45 min to do so. He was pretty nice, I would recommend them though they might have to switch you appointment time. Since the treatment I have not seen anything.

Really poor. Roaches all over my garage even though they sprayed one week ago. Nobody at the company returns my calls. Criminals.

The first appointment for an inspection had to be rescheduled when the receptionist didn't follow my instructions to call me at work in advance of the inspector's arrival. Inspector was thorough,however, and accommodated my request for a complete inspection that included the attic and crawl space, as well as the house. Employees conducted themselves professionally; showed up on time; and completed their work promptly.
