My mom had received a notice from her mobile home park that the seeds from her palm trees needed to be cleaned up. She is nearly blind, so i handle most of her transactions. I immediately called the company that had handled this job last year. Although they took all the information and promised to get me an estimate by the next day, I had not heard from them by the next week. I called another company who got back to me right away. However, the person I spoke with sounded like he had been drinking. He took all the information, but, like the other company, never got back to me with an estimate. I then tried "The Branch", who responded right away and got me an estimate within 24 hours. Derek was very pleasant and accommodating and promised to have it done within the next week. He had it done within two more days. The job was professionally done, the place looks great, and there are no more annoying fronds rubbing on her roof. Derek also respected my wishes not to bother my mom since strange people showing up at her door sometimes scares her. I will definitely use "The Branch" again, and I've recommended them to others in the park. Thanks Derek!

Positively the best arbor work ever done on my property. No comparison to previous work. Although I have paid less for similar work and I rated the price a B, it was worth every dime. I couldn't believe the amount of brush removed from the malaleucca trees and the professionalism of the owner and the 2-man crew. This was also the first time that the juniper was cut down and kept its shape; shorter now and attractively chubby.

Mr. Long was at our door right on time, did exactly what we wanted and left everything neat, and ready to plant anything else we wanted. Was quiet as possible and because he was so fast, the small amount ot noise should not have bothered any our neighbors. Would certainly use him again, and I will tell my friends.

I have used them several times to remove trees from my property. each time they where punctual, professional and did a great job. they got back to me quickly with an estimate, did not charge over the estimate and cleaned up after themselves well. I would love to use them again, but I have no more trees on my property!!

Firstly, let me admit our trimming was long overdue and seemingly a huge task. We sought bids from 6 companies including Derek @ The Branch, two of whom didn't show for the estimate and without even a phone call. The bid: Derek set a day and window of time for the estimate and showed up in the middle of the window with a humble and caring attitude. He took the time to candidly discuss challenges (pool, condition of palms, close proximity to neighbors & palms, cleanup, etc.) and within 5 minutes gave us a firm bid; followed up that afternoon with a written confirmation via email including licensed contractor info with a link to Calif site to verify and copy of commercial liability insurance. Deliberation & decision: we interviewed three other companies (who did show up) and received their bids to compare to The Branch, one slightly "cheaper" and two much more expensive as if they didn't even want our business. Also critical to our decision was the desire to carefully manage potential cleanup for our neighbors due to the close proximity of three palms. We decided to go with Derek based on overall impression, attention to detail during the bidding process and our gut instinct which turned out to be spot on. The work: Derek called the day before to confirm Trevor (his son) and associate would be out the next day between 8 - 9 am, they showed up @ 8:20am and spent time reviewing any concerns we had + a game plan for the job. They covered two sprinkler heads with orange cones to insure all were aware and stayed away, they also recommended we cover up a side window with cardboard as a precaution to protect the screen - they helped prepare this as well. They decided to call in another employee to expedite the process who showed up in about 15 minutes. After listening to all of our requests and addressing any concerns, Trevor began the process of scaling the first 60 ft Mexican palm and getting to work. We couldn't believe how quickly our old overgrown palms turned into neatly trimmed model citizens. Trevor and team worked as a finely tuned machine: one cutting, one catching and one mulching in the truck/grinder. Derek checked in about 30 minutes after the work started to insure we were happy and answer any questions. We decided to ask him to add a Canary/pineapple palm to the job since everything else was going so well, he gave us a quick/fair quote and we're glad we had it done as well - will try to add pics for reference. The pool and the neighbors: we covered the pool beforehand although very little fell in its direction, mostly small fragments and dust. The neighbors were so impressed that they brought over cold drinks for the crew. The birds nest - one of the last trees had a nest with two baby birds, so the team removed them & the nest and trimmed the tree. After, Trevor reassembled one of the fronds in the tree and placed the nest with the birds on the frond. Cleanup - same as above, all went quickly and efficiently on our side and with the neighbors. They even cleaned off the top of the pergola The Conclusion: contrary to how it might seem, we are not related to, or previous friends of Derek, Trevor or The Branch - we are simply very satisfied customers who would recommend them to family and friends. We suggest if you are looking for a trustworthy, high-quality company in this area at a fair price that you look no further...save yourself some time getting quotes from other companies. Derek Long and his team from The Branch have done tree service for us for several years and they always do a great job. They work quickly and efficiently, and remove all debris. Derek, who is a certified arborist, trimmed the Coral tree, removing branches touching our house, and opening it up to light. This was a smaller job compared to others they've done for us in past - removing very large Ash and Eucalyptus trees.

The Branch did a great job. They showed up on time, worked diligently and cleaned up after themselves. Their worked exceeded my expectations.

Afterward, the elm tree leaves grew back in curly and the tree looked sick. I called Derek from The Branch in a bit of a panic and he reassured me that it was probably nothing to worry about and the tree would probably recover. It did, and I learned my lesson about hiring someone cut-rate instead of a professional that I trust.

Cleaned yard, cleaned the neighbors yards of debris before leaving. Very satisfied! The three men on the job were very polite.

It went very well. Trevor came out quickly and gave me an estimate and did the work the following week. They removed all the trees and cleaned up the queen palm. It's never looked better. They cleaned up and left the yard looking great. I would highly recommended them and will use their services again.

My mother's home in Escondido needed a fair amount of tree "clean-up" work done. I was faced with arranging this from my home in Texas. While there are plenty of "guys with a truck" who want to do the work, I wanted a professional and reputable company that would stand behind their work. Fortunately, I found The Branch" through Angie's list. Derek was very responsive, the work was taken care of quickly and properly, and the pricing seemed fair to me. The first project went so well, I had them do some additional work. I think they are honest, competent, and professional. I appreciated Derek's working with me and my schedule.

Father, son and helpers have tons of experience. Great communication. Everything looks great. Trees are healthy now. Super clean area clean up. It's my second time working with them. I will call them again!

Went fine. Tree is about 20 years old. I have been having the Branch prune this tree every other year. Excellent at pruning. Tree is beautiful.

Derek and his crew removed the huge limbs first, dropping each one gently by rope to the ground, and perfectly avoiding all nearby landscape. They then cut the limbs to size for our fireplace, and shredded the fine branches for my mulch pile. They ground the stump well below ground level, and cut the trunk into pieces. They were professional, polite, and left the area immaculate. They didn't exhibit risky behavior while climbing and cutting like some other tree services I've had. I'll definitely use and refer them from now on! |

Derek was very professional. When he decided he needed to bring in a crane to avoid gas lines and meter he did not charge more than his original estimate. This was a neighborhood project and he had to put up with constant requests which he handled graciously. I would strongly recommend this company.

I called on a Friday and was given a quote on Saturday morning. Since I had used them before, I knew they did good work so I went with their proposal and was told that it would be done sometime in the next two weeks. I believe there had been a cancellation so they were able to do it the following week. I had to leave for work before they arrived in the morning and they were finished and gone by the time I arrived home after work. The tree was gone, the stump had been ground, and they had cleaned up the area. I received the invoice by email that evening. I was pleased with the work they did.

They cut down 7 African sumacs and ground out stumps. They also trimmed 7 podicarpus trees. These are arborists who know how to trim trees properly. They took all debris offsite at the end of the job. I will definitely use them again! I refer them to my Real Estate clients and all have been pleased with their work!

Trevor and his helper were here on time, worked steadily and efficiently, were courteous throughout, hauled away all debris and left the area cleaner than when they arrived. The trees look great, and were done the way I wanted them done. I have no criticisms of the work, only praise.
