Inaccurate information, poor communication & performance to date. San Diego Rain Gutters presents themselves as having higher level expertise and their literature shows lots of older tile roofs with gutters, implying they handle this with ease. In fact, they've twice now told us we have to go back to our roofer and ask for modifications. The first time, when the roofer pushed back SDRG wasn't able to support their argument (see below). The second time, the installer was already on site and had a new reason the job couldn't be done. Citing their claims of expertise, I said I counted on them to find a solution and perhaps he could call the office. The general manager (Matt) was pretty argumentative when he got on the phone and finally interrupted me so much that my husband had to ask him to let me finish. This was neither the service level nor the expertise we expected.

Bill Michalek runs a super customer service company. He is timely when showing for estimates. Delivers what he promises. I had a small job and there was a minimum service charge but it was all worth it because he returned to fix a problem later. I must emphasize here: The problem was not his fault and was an installation problem from another company. He did that as part of the overall charge. I also like the way Bill works toward innovative solutions with his customers.

Fabulous! They gave me a small window of time that the estimator would arrive, noon -12:30. How nice not waiting around 4 hours, only to have someone call at the last minute to let you know they would be late. The estimator arrived right on time 12:05. I explained what we thought we needed. He took measurements, discussed his recommendations and gave me the price. I said sign me up. They did not request a deposit. Someone called me a few days later (as promised) to schedule the installation. The installers showed up exactly on time. They were quick, cleaned up, did not trample on anything and did a beautiful, beautiful job. The colors are dark along the roof, and sand for the downspouts are a perfect match and blend nicely with the rest of the house.I could not have been more pleased and delighted with the process, price and workmanship.

It went well. They were very professional. They did some excellent problem solving and worked with the Board and the individual homeowners. The workmen noticed that the color we all agreed on was not quite right and that there was a better choice which they brought to the attention of the Board and their office. We were very pleased. We've had no problems with the downspouts since they were installed. We'd use them again. The were recommended by our contractor. They were very responsive, unlike other gutter companies that we contacted.

Very friendly staff. Estimator was very helpful. Not the absolute cheapest, but close. Two of my neighbors also recently used them and were done on time no issues. Quality seems very good.

our house had no gutters when we bought it and we wanted seamless. Got quotes from many and quot;seamlessand quot; gutter companies in SD and they were not 100% seamless on the edges (seamless part went near the edge but the edges were these pre-fabricated L-shaped corners that are screwed onto the gutters making them look unattractive and also a huge weak spot). Finally i found one thats 100% seamless and the best part was the cost was BARELY higher than the pre-fab corner companies! So glad I found SD Rain Gutters!!! Highly recommend! Then, it got even better working with them.... I needed some sections brown and some sections white for covered patio. Also, patio part needed to be just 5 inches but new tile roof on raised battens needed to be 6 inch. They offered both sizes and helped with both colors, all LAST MINUTE!!! Crew that installed was very knowledgeable and fast. 5 Stars!!

It went great. Rep came out and did a professional estimate and within a few days the work was commenced and completed on the same day. I was at work at the time, but my wife reported that they worked efficiently, respecting our property and cleaned up afterward. She also reported that the workers were very polite. Strongly recommend this company for rain gutters.

Everything went well, they were prompt and they did a nice job! We had to call them back because we felt like a corner was leaking so they came out and he tried to fix it as best as he could and this helped! We were pleased with their work !

They put up new gutters on the house. Look great, very professional. We were a small job and I am not sure if we got lost in the shuffle or the email got lost. So I gave them a C on responsiveness.

I used them before I had joined Angie's List. They had a very good supply. It was the second company that I had checked out and got a price quote from. I was happy that I got a second quote. I was glad that I looked for them and they did a much better job than the first company that I had contacted.

I had three estimates done from very reputable companies but I thought San Diego Rain Gutters was the best choice. The price was very competitive and comparable to other companies, but what set them apart was that the estimator took his time to answer all of my questions, he provided advice on choice of color and options, and the estimate listed pricing of different options I needed time to think over. It also included a professional brochure with warranty, licensing, insurance, color palette, etc. San Diego Rain Gutters will work hard for your business as it seems that many of the gutter companies are priced relatively similar. I always look for the best price, but not if it's poor quality. I feel that it was a win-win with this company. When the installers came, they arrived on time, were polite and very efficient. They were even helpful when I wanted to change the direction/location of the downspouts. They literally held up giant gutters against the wall so that I could visualize the outcome. I admit, I was a high maintenance customer and San Diego Rain Gutters were patient and excellent with their handiwork. No mess, no cracks, and the gutters look great! Highly recommended for price, quality, and service.

After doing the estimate, Bill indicated that he would email it to us. When we didn't hear anything for several days, I called to follow up. I received return call from Bill saying that he left the estimate with my wife. When I informed him that was not the case, he said he would return to the property and redo the estimate. That never happened. I guess our small $700-$800 job wasn't worth their time.

Overall it was a good experience as everyone was quite helpful and knowledgeable. They were able to answer any questions I had about the project and the two instalers worked well together and were very efficient.

The company was very detailed in describing the proposed rain gutter system and various options available. They scheduled several meetings with me, at my convenience, to review the plans and answer my questions. My house had a complicated roof design and required a fairly custom rain gutter plan. They worked well with my landscaper to coordinate the position of the down spouts into the drainage system of my yards. The installers arrived on time, were pleasant to interact with, and were careful not to damage any part of my property. The installation process went smoothly. As the install progressed, unexpected adjustments had to be made. I expected to be charged an additional amount for these adjustments, but the final bill was not increased beyond the original estimate. The end result looks great. I am a very satisfied customer.

The overall experience was very positive. The installer, Brian, was very knowledgable and a nice guy and he made sure everything was done to the original specs. I would go back to this company in a minute if I needed more work done.

I used the email capability built into Angie's list. For some reason I never heard from this company. I did not try to reach them by telephone. I would try to use them again before giving up on them because the failure to respond might not have been their fault.

He came right away to give me an estimate and it seemed like a professional company.

We were extrememly pleased with how they helped us determine what needed to be done to deflect the water that was saturating the side of the house. They gave us estimates for additional parts of the house, but we chose to just have the problem area fixed. It has only rained hard once since then and the situation looks much improved.
