Description of Work: Complete, off the grid, 36 panel, solar system with battery backup if 3 days with no sun or no grid. SDGE monthly bill was over $350 in 2013, and estimated to be about $400 monthly now, and projected to grow to over $600 by 2024. I have produced more energy (about $15/mo worth)than I use and SDGE owes me about $500 at present. I have saved $13,500 in the last 3 years. The remaining $56,500 I expect to save over the next 113 months (9.4 yrs). By that time SDGE will owe me about $2200 for the excess I produce. In reality the remaining cost $56,500 has been absorbed into the increased house value for solar alone. I picked all equipment, "Outback Power", spent tens of hours in internet reviews. However the Outback Power Mate Controller does not work well (have the contractor look for a better controller). Labor quality was very professional, and the laborers were always positive, polite and no profanity allowed. Always cleaned up before leaving each day. Wish all of the contractors I dealt with could be like Precision Solar. I do know of one other, "Harvest Remodeling", I used them for about $120,000 of work. They also had same work ethic and quality goals, and they are the ones who recommended Precision Solar to me. I intend to use both companies for upgrades and upkeep as long as they are in business. I no need to search anymore for these services.

 + -1 moreI am a perfectionist and so is Precision Solar. I had the top 4 solar companies come out and take a look at my property and give me a quote. All of them told me anything I wanted to hear and then quoted me $50,000.00 to do the work. Mike came out, told me where the system should go and then, no sales pitch! He set up a time when he and Micah could meet with me and Micah had this very cool global positioning devise that measures the sunlight available, year round. The spot suggested was perfect. Only, after all of this, did we talk cost. And, none of this "on the spot" pricing. Mike worked up an itemized quote that saved me $20,000.00 We went through the HERO program and all of the paperwork was taken care of by the great ladies in the office. I talked to a wonderful lady at HERO and she gave Precision Solar the highest of praise. Then the heavy lifting started. I cannot say enough good things about the Precision Solar crew. These 2 guys came out and dug trenches, put in footings, installed the solar panels and, you would hardly know they were here. The most impressive component was the conduit that had to be run the length of my adobe home. The conduit was paint to match my wooden eaves and the adobe walls. Again, a perfect job. If you are thinking of going solar, call Precision Solar. They are truly worth 6+ stars. Gary Mc of Escondido

 + -1 moreWe received several bids from companies; we thought Precision offered the same system at the best price. Micah was our contact person and did the installation himself. The work was well done and he was very pleasant to work with. He responded to all of our questions about the installation and came by when we thought the system wasn't working (it was). The work seems well done and the system is working fine. His assistant helped with processing rebates. My only suggestion would be to make sure all electrical hookups that go into the house are considered when negotiating the contract; we ended up having the electrician involved in our larger home remodel get involved in that part, at additional cost. Overall, Precision offers competent work at a very competitive price.
