Description of Work: Panjia demo'd the existing brick walkways in our backyard and replaced them with beautiful pavers. They also installed a matching wall on an existing planter, relocated some existing plants and set up an irrigation system. They finished the work ahead of schedule, and did an outstanding job, with minimal inconvenience for us. We are very pleased, and would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: Steve at Panjia, Inc. was extraordinarily prompt, courteous, and helpful. We discussed the desired work over email, and within two days had determined that the desired work was outside of the scope that Panjia would handle. There was no hassle, we agreed part as friends, and I will certainly consider Panjia for work in the future if it involves pavers.

Description of Work: Complete driveway and front yard demolition. Three car driveway paver install with inlay circle. Walkways, entry area and lighted steps to sidewalk. Complete landscaping with approximately fifty plants and trees, river rock, boulders and mulch. Complete drip system and lighting that included tree up lights, path lights and hidden LED step lights. Extras included relocating the mailbox, coring the curb to extend the yard drain system and building a low dividing wall between the yard and neighboring property.

Description of Work: Bought the big deal and was impressed by the responsiveness however the drawings although very professional weren't what I had in mind and they didn't appear to include 2 large speciman trees already in my yard that I did not want to remove.

Description of Work: The irrigation system for the 45 foot slope behind our house had deteriorated and needed replacing. Steve and his crew at Panjia installed a new irrigation system for the hill and and added drip lines for the fruit trees and roses. They were punctual, courteous, and did cleaned up the site when finished.

Description of Work: We did a major remodel of a 90 year-old house on a large lot and used a number of contractors with various specialties; among the best was Steve Young with Panjia Pavers. Our job entailed providing and laying 3,200 square feet of pavers in a large area that included a driveway and adjacent patio with several separate planters, a number of curves and other complicating features, among which was the misaligned house and garage that necessitated using special techniques to make the paver pattern look proper. We had several estimates made by other companies and Panija's price was very competitive. Mr. Young made recommendations about which brand of pavers to use (we decided on Belgard because of better colors and pillow-top shape), surface slopes and pipes for water drainage, what underlayment should be used for the driveway to retain its surface when heavy motorhomes and heavy equipment drove on it, and when asked gave good advice on landscaping design and plantings as well. Other potential paver contractors gave no consideration to some of these important factors and did not include them in bids having similar prices. The paver installation was accomplished on schedule by a well qualified team over six calendar days and a complete cleanup was done when they completed the job. We are very pleased with the results.

Description of Work: Panjia has not responded AT ALL to repeated requests for estimates on some landscaping work I need done at my home. I have left voice mail messages, email messages, and made an online quote request. Amazing!! They act like they aren't in business anymore.

Description of Work: The owner, Steve Young, came to my rental house and gave me the promised consultation. He had great ideas that turned out better than anything I had imagined. His staff came on the agreed upon date. I had purchased a Big Deal for 40 hours of labor so Steve sent 3 men on day 1 to excavate and build the Simplex wall and planter box. On day 2 two of the men returned to finish the wall, build a planter box with extra materials and move the bricks I was going to lay in two new patios. The men worked very hard, were flexible with changing plans and knowledgeable.

Description of Work: Complete excavation and design and landscaping of our frontyard. They removed the existing lawn and vegetation. Planted a drought tolerant frontyard design with a riverbed 2 trees assorted drought tolerant plants and some drought tolerant ground covers to green up the areas. Power washed the existing pavered driveway and walkway.

Description of Work: We wanted to have the sod removed from our front lawn and parkway areas. We than wanted a company to design and landscape a drought tolerant new front yard for us. We went into this project. without any idea of how it might look and we were leery of the price. We had bids from 4 different contractors over a two week period. It was difficult to pin any of them down on a design and a price we could see at the same time. We understood that they did not want to give away their design but it made the process more difficult for us. We decided to go with Panjia because of their landscape architect Gustavo. He was the first person to talk with us. He said that his design would cost $500.00 which would be part of the original cost if we went with Panjia. We were not sure of this as we did not know what we would be buying,so we looked at more businesses from Angie's list and none of them showed us a design. They did give us an idea of price. In the end we went with Panjia because Gustavo took us to some of the houses they did, which were beautiful and he was able to meet the lowest price. Our bill started at $7400.00 but we added embellishments at the end that raised our price. We are als located in the San Diego area and they do a lot of work down here.
