Description of Work: There was some confusion over the pricing because of a needed permit but they quickly rectified the problem. The installation was professionally done when they promised.

+ -1 moreThe company that installed our Carrier air conditioner no longer carried Carrier so I checked out Angie's list and chose MHS. I was really impressed by this company. They came out in a very timely manner and performed the yearly maintenance. We also had them check out our aging duct system. It turned out the duct work was still in pretty good condition with the exception of one small issue, which they fixed. The technician was friendly and professional and I felt very comfortable dealing with him. After the work was performed he did a very good job of cleaning up. I will use this company in the future and would recommend them without hesitation.

+ -1 moreFurnace is located in difficult to access attic space. Also, the gas supply pipe needed to be bled because I accidentally let the propane tank run out. The job took about 40 minutes. I was pleased that the tech only briefly mentioned that the furnace is old and needs to be replaced. In other words, he did not try to sell me a new furnace even though I probably need one.

Description of Work: Steve was not only knowledgeable and willing to share but also on time and courteous. Took him about 10min of debugging to figure out the source of the problem in our HVAC air handler. He was honest and quoted only for time spent and the nominal cost of the capacitor that needed to be replaced. A lot of people that I had called around had with confidence pointed at the circuit board and would surely have charged me for the cost of replacing the same (over $300 easily). We are very conscious of the cleanliness of our home and Steve came well prepared. Clean booties and overalls/clothes. To add to that the wife commented that the cologne/after-shave he had on was pleasant as well!! Steve left, giving me some tips on how to keep the A/C units outside the house from rusting up and sealing the conduits to prevent rats/mice from getting in.

+ -1 morePre-sales were excellent. Estimator was very knowledgeable, down-to-earth, and honest. Gave low price up front unlike others who gave very high prices then started lowering when they learned of MJB's price. Installers were excellent as well. I'm very happy with the result.
