I called in the morning and spoke to Joseph. He had me send him pictures of the problem. He gave me a quote over the phone. The service was amazing. He came out that day and did the repair. We really needed help ASAP because we didn’t want bees or birds setting up a nest in that hole. We had previously called the top rated stucco provider who dragged the process out and gave an inflated quote because he thought insurance was going to pay for it. I don’t like all those games. JRP took care of our problem immediately as if we were friends in need. The price was excellent; the service was excellent.
Description of Work: Exterior stucco repair. The plumber had to go in through the exterior wall to repair some plumbing. The plumber left a hole that was about 12 x 12“.

We had a fairly large job, about 2000 Sq Ft of ceiling plaster repair and associated wall repair. The owner came out to assess the job. To his credit, he scheduled a site visit in a timely fashion and was on time (actually early) for the visit. After viewing the job, he told me he would get back to me with a quote in a day or so. A few days later (when I'd not received a quote) I contacted him and he said he'd have it out that afternoon, but that didn't happen. I subsequently sent him three emails asking for a quote and he never responded to any of them. I'm not used to being treated so discourteously by a potential contractor. (Note, the "C" grade we gave him for punctuality is an average of an "A" for the site visit and an "F" for the lack of a quote.) The irony is, had he responded in a timely fashion we probably would have chosen him, based on other favorable comments he received on Angie's List. We ultimately went with a different contractor.
Description of Work: Nothing. He came out , viewed the job, and left.

Stucco Repairs: The header beam that was removed during our patio demolition left behind large holes and discoloration in the stucco. Had JRP (Joseph) come over to estimate the work. While we were looking at the job, I had him give pricing on other stucco repairs that included: small shrinkage cracks, holes from removal of electrical conduit and a baseball dimple in foam window trim. He also pointed out other areas that needed attention. I was impressed by his knowledge and eye for catching things that I overlooked. Stucco application to new BBQ island: JRP gave me a reasonable price and had good ideas on how to make the island stand out. Performance: I chose the final scope of work and broke up the project into 3 phases. Each phase consisted of a scope and payment plan. Had him start the stucco repair. JRP came out and performed all the stucco repair work without any problems. They color matched the existing stucco. His fog coat looked great and matched the existing texture. He masked everything off so there was no mess or overspray. I was impressed. While they were there, they started the BBQ island prep work. He spread a compound on all the seams and repaired the upper rounded part on the bar. JRP also fixed the lower support that was supposed to be rounded. This took considerable effort and it turned out excellent. Note for the readers: I had a large BBQ island installed unfinished. We wanted to customize the island to our needs. Had JRP place a footing under the island to keep the moisture away from the metal frame. JRP suggested this work and it made sense to extend the life of the island by keeping out of the moisture zone from the concrete. This phase was performed very nicely. JRP also sealed the island to the footing. This not only keeps it above the moisture zone, it also keeps the bugs out. It turned out very solid and I have peace of mind that the island will last for many maintenance free years. The last phase of work was the island stucco. This came out great. The final color was nice and complementary with our house color and patio fireplace. The texture was perfect and really made the island stand out. Overall, JRP did a nice job for us. I personally inspected the job and monitored their performance. I would say that Joseph (JRP) is a craftsman and takes pride in his work. Their prices were reasonable. Other quotes came in high. It was a little tough to get scheduled but the good contractors are always busy. I did not mind and he came through for us. I will use him again.
Description of Work: Repaired stucco damage from a patio cover and electrical conduit demolition. Various other stucco repairs around our house. Install new BBQ island footing and prep island for stucco. Applied stucco to island.

My repair consisted of demolishing a four foot portion of a bathroom wall with damaged studs, install new framing and of course, all new stucco with everything required. Joe responded right away, but our schedules didn't line up immediately. ---But I understand this! I had a small job for a small contractor, and quality was my biggest concern. He repaired the framing, and it looks better than the original construction. His crew was out the next day to finish the stucco work and they did a flawless job. I was truly thinking it would be hard to match the 36 year old stucco pattern, but they hit the nail on the head and you can't even spot the repair, which was about 5'x5'. I'm big into DIY projects, having remodeled my kitchen completely myself, but knew stucco skills was not my strength. I'm glad I had Joe do the work, it was worth every penny.

I contact Joseph by phone and he advised me via text that he would contact me by 9:00 am the next morning. At 9:30 I received a text saying he couldn't make and wanted to reschedule for later in the day or the next day. Since I had already changed my schedule to be home, I requested he come later that day. He said he would arrive between 2-4pm. He never showed and I didn't hear back from him. He seemed like a nice enough guy, but is clearly too busy to contact potential customers. This was disappointing because the reviews for his work are high.

I interviewed and received estimates from 3 different companies who all had great Yelp reviews but I knew I wanted to work with Joseph from our first meeting. He was the only one I talked to who viewed my job as something to be approached with as much consideration as any larger job. We talked about his approach, his ideas and what my husband and I wanted. All the companies we talked to suggested we stucco our front support columns to match the new wall but only Joseph took time to explain why and suggested we add a crown to the top. Joseph was back to me within 4 days with not only a quote but a full idea as to how he would approach the work, broken down like a menu so my husband and I could consider the costs and pick the work we wanted done. I am SO glad I didn't go with the first guy who got back to me with an estimate. Joseph and his team have been great all along. 1. They got the job done in 3 DAYS without me pushing them to do so. I had made a request for just the repair of the fascia prior to Thanksgiving because I was having family over. But he wound up getting the entire job done that week!! The fascia was previously hard to look at, honestly. We'd just had it repainted the previous year by a professional and it was already peeling. Joseph had to strip the new paint, plus multiple other layers, and some of the wood to get it to a state where it would hold the paint and look good. 2. They were amazingly detailed about covering my concrete, woodwork, plants and even the soil around their work area. They VACUUMED their work area every night and cleaned up entirely. We have a greyhound and typically keep our gates locked so we don't have any escapes and Joseph and crew were very good about asking us first if they could use the gates and even erecting a barrier to ensure the dog couldn't get out while they were using the gate. 4. Don't tell my husband but I bought these guys a pizza one day while they were working because I was SO HAPPY with the way they did business, the way they treated me, their professionalism and the work they did. As I mentioned in the beginning, this was supposed to just be a replacement for the ugly old siding but when they were done I was amazed at how improved the house looked as a whole. I sat and stared at it and smiled. I still do.
Description of Work: I hired JRP to replace my old wood siding around the garage with stucco and clean up and repaint the fascia. We wound up adding work to the job because we thought Joseph's ideas were really good. This is even though we had a tight budget and never intended to do any more than the absolute minimum. They re-stucco'd the front columns and added a cap/crown to the top. It looks perfect.

They did the job. I had to pay $95 for the materials they used. I didn’t think that was right. I didn’t use all 3 hours, I used about 1 ½ hours. I was happy it was done. The workmanship was fine. I think the extra charges were excessive considering they were not there for the 3 hours.

JRP Plastering was great to work with and very professional. We had a deadline that was nearly impossible to meet. Joe was great and made sure we made our deadline. He is very personable and professional, he and his crew worked around the clock to make sure it happened.... and I mean 24 hours to ensure our deadline was met. They cleaned up everything and powerwashed our driveway to make sure our event was going to look great. If you are looking for a reliable and professional stucco company, this is the only company I would ever use.

Wow what didn't he do! Discussed the job on a Sunday - did the work on the fireplace the following day! Lucky timing as he had had another job reschedule that morning. The lighting and patching was done while I was out of town. I came home to a new and improved house without any trace of him having been there. Actually it was probably cleaner! I have worked with Joe on various projects over the last 10 years and he continues to impress me with his ability to look at any project and imagine it completed and the steps it needs to go through to get there - on every budget level. Joe will work hard for you and will always give you a 110% along with a cheeky smile and a joke. Large job or small you will get great work and you wont have made a bad decision to call him

JRP did a first class job in two days and left job cleaner that when they arrived. They installed lathing and plastering and matched our existing home perfectly. Workers were very careful to be sure water proofing was done correctly to avoid any water problems in the future. I have been in the construction business since 1962 an built several hundred houses and wish I had sub contractors as careful and responsive when I was building. Joseph is a contractor I will recommend every opportunity I have.
Description of Work: Completed remodel plastering pop out kitchen window.
The owner, Joseph and his crew are obviously highly experienced in their field. Joseph is the kind of person who takes pride in his work and enjoys making suggestions and offering ideas to improve the outcome of the work. He's a people person and very easy to work with. Plastering and stucco work is a dirty job, they were in my house for 10 days and always kept the job site as neat and clean as possible. When they were finished everything looked fantastic, inside and out. The stucco work as a perfect match and you could not tell where the work had been done. All trash and was removed and they did a thorough job of cleaning up. I would definitely hire them again and in fact they are in the process of entirely redoing the fireplace in my living room.
Description of Work: Removed several layers of wallpaper. Bullnosed corners and plastered master bedroom, living room and dining room. Also did extensive stucco repair outside to a large area of our atrium which had water damage from sprinklers. Installed new drywall in an area of our laundry room from an old leak.

Joe was professional, honest and extremely easy to work with. I sent him pictures of the areas that needed fixing and within 10 minutes he called and clearly explained what he thought the issue was. of course, by his own admission he needed to see it in person to validate his thoughts. He clearly explained the process and reviewed the cost range. Lucky for me the final bill was near the lower end of his range. I would not hesitate to use JRP Stucco in the future. A job well done.

The entire job was completed within 10-12 days. The demolition was done in one day. When I returned to the house other than the sigh for advertisement you would not have known anyone was there. The crew was very polite and if I needed to leave the house they cleared a path so that I didn't have to step over materials. If Joseph said he would be at the house at 7 AM he was there. The same was with the crew, when they said they would be there by a certain time they were. The time Joseph took to make sure that I understood each step was wonderful. I was always aware of what of the next step would be and how long it would take. In evaluating the house he suggested that I put lights on the outside as there were none and he felt it would be a good safety factor. As a single woman that was very important to me. The electrician he suggested was also of the highest quality , professional, reasonable, and prompt. Joseph also brought to my attention that the lighting in the garage was not adequate when I would have to go into it at night. He suggested that I install brighter lights and was willing to assist with the installation. WOW what a difference that made. When it came time to choose the color for the stucco I was having difficulty making a decision. Joseph brought me several samples and made several suggestions. He was even willing to ride around the neighborhood with me to see how the color would look on my houses. When the color was chosen he painted a board so I could see it in a larger size than the sample. For someone who is visual and not extremely creative that was a great help, When I was getting estimates I was very pleased that Joseph looked at details the others didn't. He was also willing to install insulation in the house when it was tore down. I felt very comfortable with him from the beginning. I found he was very responsive to questions and prompt with a response if I needed to contact him.
Description of Work: JRP Stucco and Plastering did an outstanding job on my home makeover. The house was over 40 years old and had little outside care. Joseph came in and did the complete job. I wanted someone who could do it all and not have to deal with many different people for each aspect. Joseph was excellent. He did the stucco, electrical, insulation addition (the house had no insulation), replaced doors, added outside lights, upgraded a front patio, replaced the rain gutters, and replaced the window screens. Joseph coordinated all the work and was the liaison to the electrical, gutter, screen, and insulation contractors. This allowed me to be free to work and not have to worry about being home to supervise the work. He was also here to supervise the cable repair that was needed. Everyone was paid on time which also took the pressure off of me. The work was excellent and the attention to detail outstanding from both Joseph and his crew. I was able to contact him easily when needed and always got a prompt response. He was always on time when he said he would be and kept me informed of the work to be done each day. The work was done in a timely and when they left for the day you would not know they had ever been there, everything was cleaned up and put back. Joseph also made some suggestions for improving the overall look and safety concerns for the house. That was very helpful for me as there were things I didn’t think about. I would not hesitate to recommend this company or call them back for future work.

I've been told by many that I am a perfectionist. I like to think that I know quality when I see it. I have done most of my home remodeling project myself because it has been difficult to find contractors that could, or would, meet my expectations. Stucco work is not a one-man job, so I researched about half a dozen local stucco contractors and called four to provide proposals. Three showed up, but Joe from JRP was the most thorough and professional. I did not have construction drawings, just a long list of items and some hand-drawn sketches. Joe turned that into a proposal that was not the lowest price, but included all the miscellaneous items the other contractors left out. He also had great suggestions for details I had not considered. JRP was on site within 48 hours of getting the green light. They protected the house and cleaned up as they went. They worked quickly and did high-quality work. Once the final coat was on, Joe and I realized that I had not done a good job of describing the texture I wanted. The texture was beautiful, but wasn't exactly what I expected. Did I already mention I am a perfectionist? Joe was very understanding; he re-mobilized his crew and changed the texture. Now it?s precisely what I?d envisioned. Joe?s crew finished the stone work and did the final clean up. My wife and I could not be more pleased with the outcome. Our home looks brand new! Our neighbors have all followed the progress and are amazed by the transformation.

From the beginning it was a "work in progress" making the best decision for what was needed. Many suggestions from his vast experiences to which I was totally pleased. He picked the color and styling. I get compliments all the time. It sometimes takes time to completely realize the perfection of work. I am so happy. I look at what was completed in Dana Point around the same time (pretty much coping) and they have crack/other problems. Joe took the time to drive me around the neighborhood and find out what I like then made the whole project come together even better. I think the years of experience is what made our home come together so well. I?m back to loving the rain without the window leaks, etc. I guess I didn?t in the past look at stucco like I do now. Thanks for what I learned, thanks for the best.

We spoke with a variety of stucco professionals and ended up deciding on Joe. Not just for the price (which was very competitive), but for other areas of expertise that we may need on a big remodel. The work was done on time, they cleaned up the mess and the work came out beautifully. His recommendations to enhance the job were spot on and we love the result. We ended up adding stone elements around the house and the chimney and a gorgeous smoothed out stucco finish in a very nice brown that is keeping with the 'ranch' style we are creating for the home. There was an error in the bid and he was honest that it was his mistake, understood why we read it the way we did and was professional in his requests to square the deal reasonably. We were able to work through it properly and professionally and are very pleased with the outcome!
Description of Work: This job was to 'resurface' the exterior of an older home that had a mission style finish down to a smoother finish.
