C39 Roofing

The company sent two men to repair roof. They broke two tiles on the roof. C/39 billed us $300 which included the slipped tile and two broken tiles which were NOT broken before they arrived. We called and sent email to get resolved and they never returned call, etc. They knew we we in escrow on a tight time limit and ended up holding us hostage. Do not hire this company... they are dishonest.

Very well. Finished at exactly what estimated, and pretty clean up afterward. The owner Fidel is very friendly and easy to work with.

Very happy with C39! Our roof had a few tiles that were broken and needed repair. Fidel and his team did an awesome job - He quoted me a great price (better than everyone else), showed up on time and got the job done. Great customer service. I will be hiring them again when I need a new roof in 5 or so years.

C-39 did an excellent job on everything. Repairing the termite damage, the re-roof using my old tiles and adding new tiles that were needed from previously broken or damaged tiles. C-39 is an excellent company with very professional people that were on the job on time and cleaned up every day at the end of the day. This job took about 4 days with 4-5 people working on the job every day. C-39 Roofing gives you "Value for your Money" in every way going above and beyond normal job site requirements. The way I feel about C-39 is if you don't use them you did not get "The Best" roofing company. I hope every contractor that I hire for any other jobs {Kitchen Remodel] will be as good & professional as C-39. The quality of the entire project could not have been better.

The service was terrible. It took 2 months for the service to be completed. He came out within a couple of days. He had to order some materials and then he never called me back. The price ended up being higher than the cost of the deal that I purchased. After agreeing to a rate of $250, he sent me an invoice for $300.00. He sent 2 workers out to do the work in the middle of a rain storm. He billed me, and would not come out to check the work. He said he isn't coming out and to just send him $100. His work was good but his professionalism wasn't. I would not use him again.

Fidel brought his crew member, Alberto who assessed the area of my roof with the leak. By himself, he began the process of removing tiles in the area of the leak until he found the source, where he took several pictures with his phone (as I requested) and showed me the damage under the paper. Alberto placed new paper and returned the tiles to their proper places in one afternoon. This was important as the very next day it rained and we had no worries that the roof would leak again!

Owner showed up an hour and a half late to appointment without calling to let me know. Walked around my property and told me he would get back to me with a quote. That was a month ago. I've since had a new roof put on by another company.

A messy three day job, but left the site clean each day. Started promptly at 8:00 am. Professional, no unexpected surprises throughout the process.

This was my first time to use Angie's List, and based on this transaction, it probably will be my last time, C39 roofing never contacted me to schedule the work. As San Marcos is a fair distance from San Diego, I assumed they would attempt to schedule several inspections for the same day and call me to schedule. My attempt to contact C39 Roofing was not successful. I called my credit card provider and put the transaction in dispute. The charge was removed from my account. C39 Roofing never contacted me. The roof inspection and flashing maintenance was done by another company. Angie's List needs to better screen their advertisers.

I was extremely disappointed by this company. Fidel did come out to our house and looked at the roof. He promised to sent an estimate. After several months with no estimate I called him several times, without any response from him I'd say he is unreliable. I would not recommend him...........C-39

It didn't 'go" Fidel Cruz of C39 Roofing was not reliable. He had twice told me that he would email an estimate for the work and he has not. We are talking about this happening a month or more ago. I have called him several times, asking him to call me and to send an estimate - and have not heard from him Given the above - I give C39 an F. I cannot understand why he was highly rated............ perhaps he paid to have his name and company placed in that A category - that surely fooled me.

I left an average rating because my experience was both good and bad. Long story short, I got what I paid for, but the communication was not the greatest. First the good: Fidel came to look at my roof, which is not in the best shape. He gave me some good advice and recommended I get it replaced within a year or so. He gave me an estimate for the roof replacement, but I settled on just repairing the leaks. He had a guy come out and seal up the leaking flashings and vents. Then the not so good: Scheduling the repair required me to reach out to Fidel a few times. After the first visit, I didn't hear from him for a couple of weeks, so I sent an email reminder. I got a response, but it took another 2 weeks to get the actual repair done. A mis-communication resulted in the repair being done on the wrong day, and some of the minor repairs we discussed on the first visit didn't end up getting done and I wasn't charged for them.

Prompt response to initial call. Arrived at scheduled time for quote. Professional demeanor. Detailed bid proposal; competitively priced. Ensured all questions were answered. Fit us in to his schedule earlier than planned. Work was done on-time, on schedule, work area cleaned up, polite work crew. Would definitely use him again and highly recommend.

The owner emailed his bid to us one day after we met. This guy was always on top of things. We choose his bid after looking at two others. He was in touch with us before and as they got started. Most every day he came by to check with us re questions and concerns, and to check on his workers. It was so good to be able to talk with the owner of the company. He knew exactly what was going on. He took photos befote, during and after completion. The guys who put the roof on were always respectful, careful and cleaned up at the end of each day. I highly recommend C/39 roofing. I feel like we lucked out and Angie's list made it possible to find the very best out of a lot of good companies. We could not be happier with the excellent work, communication, and results. C/39 roofing has been around for a while for good reason.

I initially discovered C39 when i came across their Angie's Big Deal. I contacted them and the owner Fidel promptly returned my call and answered all of my questions. I had an estimate done by another roofer and decided to go with C39 due to the great price, awesome reviews, and Fidel's wonderful customer service. I was not able to schedule the install right away due to personal schedule conflicts, but Fidel kept in touch and was very accommodating throughout. The roof removal and installation went even better than expected! Fidel stopped by every day to check on the crew and explain what work had (or would) be performed that day. The crew was very courteous and professional, making sure to clean up around the house each afternoon. There were a few minor issues that came up during the install (wood damage, vent placement, etc) and Fidel quickly explained the situation and gave recommendations each time. The original estimate was 5-7 days, and the job was actually completed in 4 which was an added bonus. They even painted all of the vents and pipes to match the shingles afterward! We couldn't be more pleased with the overall experience, and will definitely do business with C39 again!

Fast Work with High Quality. Crew was friendly and efficient...kept work site clean and even worked around my dogs. Even offered to come back and check the roof after my solar installers completed the job to make sure everything was sound. I would not hesitate to recommend C39.

They were prompt, courteous and informative. I'm so grateful they found the problem, took pictures, and explained where and what the the problem was (plumbing-pipes leaking). There was no charge for the inspection. I would definitely hire C39 Roofing if I ever do have a roof problem just based on their professionalism and overall how they handled this job. Fidel Cruz keeps putting me off. 10 days turned into 5 weeks. In our final contact on January 5th, 2015, Fidel emailed me to say that he would call me on the 9th to verify the schedule for this week. No call. I called him over the wekend and the mailbox was full. I emailed him and no response. I am done waiting. There isn't any way that I will use C39 or any way that I could recommend him unless you know of someone that enjoys having a leak above their master bedroom.

I had several bids for a very complicated roof job at my home. My roof is very steep with lots of cut up areas and even some flat roof areas. I knew there was going to be wood repair as the house had been neglected by previous owner ( I bought as a fixer upper). With an entire remodel going on the roof was going to be very important in keeping all of my investment safe. Fidel and his crew did an awesome job. They kept the job clean, repaired the wood at a very fair price. Above all the roofing job was / is excellent. Fidel was in and around the job often making sure all was right. I would use C39 on any job you have mine had TPO, toch down, and composition. I also had areas where the guys had to be harnessed do to the steepness of the roof. Great Job!! Thanks Fidel.

Fidel was very responsive and professional. He came to give us a quote and showed up when he said he would. He had a $350 minimum fee which we thought was reasonable and he said the work wouldn't cost more. He even gave us some advice of things to tell the fireplace installer so everything would go smoothly when he came back to repair the roof. He told us what day he would come to do the work. We weren't home when he showed up and he completed all of the work and sent us a bill. He also painted the vent cap to match the tile on our roof which we weren't even expecting. His work looked much better than the other vents that were installed in the roof likely from the original construction. We would definitely use him again.

C39 Roofing called me on Nov 3rd on repairing some of my damaged tile from a recent termite tenting. I sent pictures and they told me they would come to my house and check the damage and quote the job on the next day. They said I would not need to be present so I wouldn't need to take off work. It is a good thing since they never showed up. After I called them, they said they got busy and would come by the next day. Again, they were a no show. They rescheduled to come out the next day but I informed them that someone else was coming out to quote on that day also. They said it will be no problem. Again, they didn't show up. They were pleasant on the phone and told me that I do not have to be there for the quotation process. I can understand why now, because chances are they would not show up. I am hoping that business is good for C39 Roofing and that they are too busy to follow up on their commitments but being a reliable vendor is important to me. Because of this, I can not recommend this company to anyone.

They worked 110% for 5 days straight. Like Fidel, the crew was professional and hard-working. They were good listeners when we had questions or concerns. We always received a straight answer. The roof is beautiful and done to perfection. They cleaned up afterwards as they said they would. Everything we wanted done was done. We are completely satisfied with this company and have already shared this with neighbors and friends.

Fidel Cruz, the owner of the company, came well prepared with an abundance of knowledge and patience. He even took me outside to point things out in a construction project across the street to help explain the whole roofing process. He and his crew were always courteous, prompt, and professional and always cleaned the property before leaving each day. It took a bit longer than we had hoped, but that was due to the amount of damaged wood that needed replacing. I am very happy with my new roof and would recommend this company to anyone. The cost was very reasonable for such a large job, particularly compared to a "drive-by and e-mail " estimate received from a very well-known roofing company in San Diego.
