Very professional. No complaints. Did inspection for us and found where we were loosing heat and now we are saving more every month on our energy bill.

We were without heat for almost a week until I made a decision on the new furnace, but we survived. Installation went very well. Action Air also installs a handy drawer under the furnace which makes filter changing very easy. I can even pick up free filters from the office when I need them. The guys spent a lot of time trying to get the new furnace to pass the air leakage inspection. In the end, a HERS inspection was needed due to the way the return air ducts were built into the house. Action Air did all the scheduling for this. As in my previous experiences with the company, they very patiently explained everything and answered all my questions.

They said they'd be able to fix the a/c for me, but they guarantee the work for 1 month, and since I wasn?t able to run it during that month, they suggested that I fix the air conditioner when it?s warm. They didn't try to upsell me anything, just went over the options I had, which I appreciated. I ended up signing a contract for 2 years. I'm happy with their services.

Everybody was very nice and I'm sure the work was satisfactorily done. So many people do good work these days that so much depends on customer service and getting it right the first time. There were problems, tho their response was pretty good. My sales rep was very professional, tho when we measured the space for the units, it was off by a few feet and I had to remove yet another plant. The two guys who installed the units showed up several hours late the second morning. They did not explain to me how to work my 2 new registers-which I was hoping they would show me- they did hurriedly set them for me (as they were off to another job). There were two electrical boxes installed outsiide w/ the a/c's, and they were not matching. And one of their trucks left oil in my driveway. They were very quick to come back and clean up the oil, and they did change the electical boxes outside to match. And the city permit they prepared for me - well, I had to call the City Eng for the inspection, and the paperwork was not in my name, but in the name of the past owner. They said they couldn't do anything about that.

I was very pleased with their service. They were on time and did a good job as far as I can tell. They checked out the system, gave us recommendations, did their job and departed. It was affordable. I have had no complaints whatsoever. I would rate them highly.

I've been called a pest by a friend because, as a woman homeowner, I like explanations from the tech as he goes about his work. Ken was really patient with my questions and occasional watching as I tried to understand how the furnace operates. (My 2 engineer sons probably inherited some of those inquisitive genes from me.) I'll add that I didn't hover over him continually. He also recommended a service maintenance call for the A/C when he heard I'd never had that done. After hearing what Action Air does on this service, I plan to schedule one in the spring. I'd actually had an A/C service done by a different company a couple of years after moving into this new house in 1990. All the guy did was check that the A/C was working, and stick a thermometer near all the vents to check the temp. He never looked inside the A/C at all. I figured that if that's all a service call entailed I could do that myself. Ken described what actually should be done. He also suggested bypassing SDG&E next time. Their diagnosis just wasted time. Action Air will be my service company from here on.

We turned on our AC for the first time this season, and within a few minutes there was a loud POP and then a very noxious odor came through the vents. We turned off the system immediately and called ACTION. They were not able to send someone out for about 5 days, so we kept the AC off until they could come out. Of course these were the hottest days this summer! Alberto and another tech showed up nicely within the two-hour window I was given. They very quickly figured out that we had a blown capacitor, and showed me the part and the damage to it. They changed out the part, and did an inspection of our outside system as well. I would use them next time, no question.

Water was draining outside of our house from a secondary A/C drain pipe that juts out underneath a second story eave. My husband had checked the attic where the unit was to make sure no water was leaking into the attic and it was fine so we didn't need anyone to come out right away. Action was able to get us an appointment the next day. Jake arrived within the scheduled time and even put on booties over his shoes. It may not seem important to some but to us it says that the contractor cares about your home. Jake was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. He explained and showed what he'd found and answered my questions thoroughly. He cleaned out the primary drain from the unit to the trap under the sink and checked to make sure that it was draining properly before reconnecting it to the trap. He ran the A/C to make sure water no longer drained from the secondary drainpipe. He cleaned up under the sink (thanks) and rechecked the condenser outside. I was concerned about a rat that had gotten into our garage having possibly damaged the wiring on the outside of the condenser, so he checked the wiring and; he checked the opening in the outside wall where the hoses from the condenser enter the house to make sure the rat hadn't eaten away the foam insulation in the hole. Thankfully all was well. You couldn't ask for better service.

They were very informative during the estimate. Gave me top 3 options they can provide and told me what strategy I can take to bring the cooling cost down based on what other home improvement I can do in the future with each choices. The installation was very fast and clean. I was glad that I found this company to work on the AC unit installation along with central heating unit and the air ducts.

It was Sunday and a hot day when our A/C stopped cooling our home. Jake (Action's Technician) gave us some instructions over the phone that helped to defrost the condenser that had frozen over. By the time he arrived the condenser was defrosted. Jake was professional and knowledgeable. He had told us before coming out what the Sunday evening hourly rate charge would be and we accepted it. Even though it was higher than nomal hourly rates, we were happy that Jake was available and we didn't want to deal with the heat until the next day so the price was worth it and fair. Jake knew that there must be a blocked air situation because he asked me over the phone if our main air intake vent was blocked by something or if the registers were covered in any way. He checked the HVAC unit and found the loose piece of foam insulation. He ran a test of the condenser and checked the refrigerant level. He added refrigerant to the system and we had cold air once again all in about an hour.

Technician had to go on the attic and was very careful. Inside the house he covered his shoes to protect the carpets.

We had no air coming from the A/C. The rep was very courteous and efficient, got the A/C working again, and also inspected the furnace.

Arrived on time , took off shoes ( we have white rugs) explained proceedures.

Arrived at scheduled time. Very friendly & did a thorough job. Cleaned up the area around the furnace too. Would definitely hire again.

Excellent service in every respect. The contractor inspected all of the existing system (including attic ductwork), checked whether we had any concerns or requirements for a new system, then provided three competitively-priced options for us to choose from (good, better, best), with detailed written and verbal explanations of the pros and cons of each.

I'm very happy with their service and they are very professional.

E-mail inquiry waited 1-1/2 weeks for response, originally given wrong date of service, my tel. # to confirm was taken down incorrectly. If working I would have been immobilized a day without pay waiting for the servicer who never came. I just bought a house and was not given heating system information and there was no A/C, technician explained at length what I could buy from company.. Fixed rattles in vent. Filters changed and could hear unit y being taken apart, checked, reassembled. Duct cleaning suggested with camera inspection for relatively new house with cameras slowly crawling through each pipe! ($$$!) In retrospect (2011) , think I was first disrespected and then given up-sell. Bought another contractor's heat pump and other equipment for far less than these guys would charge and have had San Diego City contractor service since. There is something hinky about businesses in San Marcos generally and I now go elsewhere for all services involving my body, house, or mind, as these guys are not the worst ones.

The price was reasonable for the service. I ve had this service done by other companies at twice the price. They were here for about an hour. The service man made sure not to bring in any dirt, by wearing the protective booties. The service man was very polite and on time.

I had no trouble setting up the appointment. Since our job is a bit complicated Bob wanted to come back with his technical supervisor, Casey, to iron out the details of where to put the package units, how to run the new ductwork on the roof, and to determine the number, size, and placement of the new ceiling registers in order to minimize roof penetrations and cost while maximizing the efficiency and heat production. We were very impressed with Casey's knowledge and will likely use this company to do the work. We have not received the estimate from them yet but are very impressed with the amount of time they spent putting it together.

The first time they came out they were unable to reinstall the furnace as only one serviceman came out, and you need 2 people to lift the furnace. I had to reschedule the appointment for the next week. They had to cut a hole in the new shelf to provide ventilation and did a neat job of installation. They threw away the old fiberglass insulation and attached new insulation that looks ever so much better. When finished, I asked them to test for carbon monoxide. They took their tester and placed it inside the exhaust outlet, where the levels were very low, about "8", which is well below the threshold of 30. They did have to recharge one of their tools, which I suppose happens on job sites, but their tools should be charged for the first appointment of the morning, which mine was. Note: This furnace is over 20 years old, but it hasn't had extensive use as we use it only in the mornings in winter, sometimes during the day when it's really cold. I generally use space heaters during the day wherever I'm working. Not once did they try to sell me a new furnace. They expressed no concerns about the old one, other than informing me that newer models are much more efficient. I really appreciated that. When I called to make the appointment, they noted that they had cleaned my air ducts a couple of years ago. They did a great job on that, too, at a very reasonable price.

Tony gave me lots of information and measured the house to get requirements. He was very thorough. The estimate was $4295 for one unit. Be careful, they charge $400 for a permit from the city and it is embedded in the estimate.

They were great! They made sure to clean up the mess when they were finished and I liked their estimate. They even helped us get the original builder to pay for some of the piping.

The company was very professional from the initial phone call to the actual service. The technician was punctual and based on my explanation of the problem, he checked the level of Freon and found it was low. He added 2 lbs. and that seemed to fix the problem. He was very efficient, helpful and polite. The actual cost was $110 but their coupon in the Angie's List magazine brought it down to $80.

After a through inspection, it was determined that all that was needed was to have a flame sensor cleaned.

Very professional service, prices seemed high at first, but upon fleshing out other estimates still the most competitive option. Arrived as promised and completed early.
