Great! My initial contact attempt to A San Elijo Locksmith was via their web site contact form but it didn't work so I called. The owner, Bill, answered and apologized about the contact for an said he would look into it. We found a date and time that worked for my appointment - it was exactly what I needed so was super happy about that. Bill was literally driving up the road in front of me when I showed up at the job site - right on time. I asked to see his driver's license and he provided it without question. (I had already done my research on http://www.bsis.ca.gov/ so I knew he was legit.) Bill's very down to earth and personable. I showed him exactly what needed to be done and he got right to work. He explained a little about my locks assuring me that they were excellent quality (even though they are old) and didn't try to upsell me on anything. He got the job done in the time he said it would take and was quick and efficient while being completely low key and friendly. We swapped the 15% Angie's List coupon ($2.24 value for my job) for the strike plate. Thanks Bill!

I signed up for a deal (re-key up to 4 cylinders) and Bill got in touch with me right away to let me know the deal was a little misleading because it didn't include the service call (this is not the first time I've heard about some issues with the wording on the deals). He let me know the cost and also let me know I could cancel with no problem (he has tried to get the deal updated). The cost in the end was competitive and he was so quick to explain the issue we had him come out. Bill was on time, friendly and quick! I have had no issues with the keys or locks.

When I first called Bill to check on costs for rekeying three door locks, he was very straight-forward on costs. He quoted me the total cost, ensuring that I knew the trip charge, rekeying charge, and cost for each key I wanted duplicated.
