As part of a kitchen remodel, I wanted to extend the hardwood flooring from an eat-in kitchen area into the kitchen. Unfortunately the hardwood from the 2005 eat-in area remodel was discontinued. I spent a couple of months talking to all the flooring stores in SLO and Paso trying to find a reasonable match between the old wood and a new wood. None of the stores was of much help except for Sandra at Quaglino's....she found a very close match and even got the Mohawk rep. to send a sample.....none of the other dealers were able to get the rep to follow thru. Pat, the owner, came out to do the estimate.....he is very knowledgeable and provided me with two excellent installers, Chris and Tom, who were able to tie the old to the new hardwood eliminating the toe tripper t-molding that I currently had. All the other dealers said I would have to put up with the t-molding between the old and new wood.....they could not do the skilled work to eliminate it. The guys came out on schedule but encountered some problems but they were able to over come them to my complete satisfaction. I will have them out shortly to do more work for me. Thanks to all at Quaglino's for a beautiful hardwood floor. March 28, 2015 update Had Quaglino's install hardwood flooring in entry way. Again there were unforeseen install problems but Chris/Tom rose to the challenge and did a wonderful job. I am very pleased with the professionalism of this company, the quality of their products and their installers. I wish I had more work for them since I know I can rely on them for a quality job at a reasonable price.

Great choice of products, fair price, competitive. Knowledgeable about products! Did their very best to accommodate a tight schedule. The install of our hardwood floor was superb. I will use them again, highly recommend them! Not only that, everyone we dealt with was nice, not pushy.

It went very well. Quaglinos is a family run place and is very easy to deal with. They even lent me a staple gun so I could install some plywood overlayment. Who are you going to find that will do that? Their price was substantially lower than another bid we got. Quaglinos is a great company to deal with. They contract out the installation. They contracted with a guy named Chris who was very good. He seemed to know his stuff. They showed up on time and put the floor in with only one problem. There was a 2 inch stripe that was installed in the pattern. It did not want to lay flat. If they had unrolled the marmoleum and layed it flat for a day or two prior to installation that would not have happend. If you are having narrow strips in your pattern make sure the material is flat. We had to weight the strips for 24 hours. When we unweighted them they were flat and have stayed that way.
