The 2 pours went very well. The trucks arrived on time and the time spacing between trucks was as specified. The commumication with the dispatcher was excellant and they recheck and reconfirm everything. The only incident was that the first driver of the cement truck felt he knew exactly what to do and did not listen to my general contractor sufficiently. During the second pour, 2 weeks later, my contractor had to tell him to obey his instructions. Once that was made clear, the operation went well. The second driver on each pour was extremely accomadating and worked extremely well with the crew.
Description of Work: I was installing a 30' x 40' slab foundation. The concrete pour was in two parts. The first was the footings with required 16 cubic yards of concrete and 2 weeks later the slab was poured requiring 19 cubic yards of concrete. Total concrete was 35 cubic yards. Each pour required 2 trucks (each truck can only hold 9.5 cubic yards). The concrete requirement was 2500 psi in 30 days, 1 lb of firer per yard, 3 hours of retardant at 100F, chilled water, and 50% mix of 1/2" and 3/4" rock. Travel distance to the construction site was about 60 miles.
