+ 2 moreSuzanne and Mike were very accommodating and patient.I added work as we went along and they were able to get everything handled. I had an original quote for the work, but because of my changes and some issues that came up due to my changes, I went to time and materials. I was confident enough in them , and their employees to do this, rather than redoing my quote several times. And I have no regrets. They had the same 3 employees working on my job, from start to completion. Jose, Augustine and Carlos, that worked with them. They were extremely hard workers, prompt, polite and very knowledgeable. I was not a training ground for new employees. I am impressed by the fact that they didn't take shortcuts and the work done was very professional. I will also be using them for maintenance on my yard. I have had a lot of positive feedback on my yard from neighbors and passersby. I love my new yard , and considering the amount of time, attention to details, quality of materials and professionalism, the price I paid was very fair. I highly recommend Central Coast Earthscapes.
Description of Work: Designed and completely redid front and side yards. Took out most of old existing plants and sprinkler system and equipment.

+ 0 moreWe got a quote from somebody else first and they were more reasonable. The fence still looks great. They're mainly a couple, husband and wife, and they're very nice people. I'm not sure about their reliability in terms of calling back, they're not so good at that, but they did an excellent job and we paid what they quoted us. When we did have an issue with the gate, they did come back but like I said, they're not always the best they can get really busy to call me back but they always do eventually call me back. I think they did an excellent job on the landscape job. They were so much reasonable than the other company, it was just a fraction of what they quoted was so we were pleased. The quality was very good. I think they were very professional.
Description of Work: We used Earthscapes. We used them for landscaping and fence. They put in a privacy wooden fence.

+ 4 moreIt was very easy working with the Morrisons. From initial design interview to the installation of the final plant, they provided friendly, professional and personal service. Their crews worked quietly, so the project did not disturb the neighborhood. Everyone was extremely polite. When a Bird of Paradise plant arrived after the workers were gone, Suzanne dug the hole and planted it herself! I was impressed by Suzanne's knowledge of a wide variety of plants appropriate for our particular micro-climate and with Mike's carefully calculated hardscape designs which mastered our property's uneven slopes. Most important, Mike and Suzanne listened closely to our vision. The result was a unique landscape designed specifically for our site. They were available throughout the project on phone and e-mail and stopped by frequently to make sure the job was going well. I recommend Earthscapes highly.
Description of Work: Completely re-landscaped our sloping front yard ( 26 x 40 feet). Installed hardscape in the form of Air-Vol Blocks and pavers to define four, level planting areas including an 8 x 10 ft. patio. A two-zone, timed drip irrigation system was installed. Planted a wide variety of succulents and other drought tolerant plants of various sizes and many colors.

She is very knowledgeable about plants that do well in San Luis Obispo and has good relationships with local wholesale nurseries. She allowed us to accompany her to pick out the plants to be used. Earthscapes was a pleasure to work with from top to bottom.

The entire team was professional, communicated well with us, spent their time very wisely, and cleaned up along the way and at end of each day. We are totally pleased with the quality of the materials and the workmanship that went into this project and are enjoying their efforts thoroughly. The work was completed in a timely manner and with top-quality results. Cannot recommend Mr. Morrison and his team highly enough.
Description of Work: After meeting with several local fencing/hardscaping contractors we chose Earthscapes for their professional attitudes and thorough estimate and overview with us before the project. Here's an overview of the work done: complete removal of all landscaping in back yard, leveling of same, removal of overgrown plants in side yard, installation of drain for back yard, installation of retaining wall on three sides of backyard, installation of board fence on top of the wall, installation of raised planters (Europa stone) across backyard and one free-standing planter box (4x8), installation of decomp. granite to entire backyard except for planters, addition of concrete to driveway to enlarge it, addition of concrete to small existing porch to enlarge it, installation of sloped sidewalk to front porch from drive, installation of flagstone on front porch and on the new sidewalk, installation of wrought iron fencing and gate around porch, and construction of new wood rv cover (which everyone in neighborhood commented on how beautiful it is). While Earthscapes would have provided free design service, we had looked forward to designing and planting ourselves (in our new retirement) so chose not to use this service; though, in hindsight, . . .

+ 4 moreIt's a relatively small company. It's a man, his wife, their office clerk, and three or four guys that work with them. They are fabulous. This is the first time I have used them. I have several plans in the making that they will take care of in the future. I got what I paid for. There was nothing that I disliked about them at all. I was very pleased with them. They were the best that I could have expected, in my estimation.
Description of Work: They did landscaping, patios, complete fencing, some wrought iron work, some hardscaping, and brick beds.
