 + -1 moreWe were alarmed at the report and called the local utility company to inspect the unit and give us a second opinion. The utility company examined the unit the same day and found no evidence of any damage, confirmed that there was NO carbon monoxide leakage with a meter, and that the unit was working normally. The property manager paid the service call without our knowledge. In response to our complaint the property manager spoke to the company and complained about the charge, but the company refused to reimburse any part of the service fee.
Description of Work: Superior was called by our property manager to provide a second opinion on which another company claimed we had $2,800 of required repairs to our duct work, also the tenant had the thermostat set very low and the heater would cycle on and off frequently. Per my property manager, the technician examined the system and noted there was minimal damage to the duct work, but reported to the property manager staff that the heating system was "cracked", the flames were "dancing", the system was leaking carbon monoxide, and "should be condemned". See attached inspection report. Also attached is an estimate for the work they claimed was required to replace the heating system and repair the duct work. The estimate was for $2,975.

 + -1 moreThe work we had done by this company was lousy. The furnace they installed 7 years ago started having problems and they charged us $1,000 for all the repairs. A furnace should really last about 20 years so that was disappointing. 7 months earlier they had given me a quote on the work but I decided not to use them because I satisfied with their potential solutions. 2 months later I still couldn't find someone to fix it so I had to go back to them and they charged me $200 more than the estimate. It was a bad experience all around.

 + -1 moreThe technician confirmed that the ducts were fine except for a small section of duct that was partially dented. The technician also claimed a crack in the condenser and potential carbon monoxide leak. He made the comment that the furnace should be "condemned." They provided an estimate to replace the heating system in the amount of $2,975.00. An emergency inspection by the utility company PG & E that same day contradicted the technician's claims. The PG & E technician reported that everything was working normally and there were NO carbon monoxide leaks. There was no evidence of any cracks in the condenser.
Description of Work: Inspected furnace and duct work. The inspection was ordered by our property manager. The duct work inspection was a second opinion. A previous company reported duct damage that required $2,800 worth of repairs.

 + -1 moreTHE TECH THAT CAME OUT WAS VERY INFORMATIVE AND HELPFUL ABOUT THE HEATER. HE CHECKED TO BE SURE NO HEATER VENTS WERE BLOCKED AND WAS VERY POLITE AND FRIENDLY.
Description of Work: WE HAD A START UP PERFORMED SO WE COULD USE THE HEATER. THEY CHANGED THE FILTERS. CHECKED THE FURNACE, AND MOTOR. RAN THE STAT IN HEAT TO BE SURE STAT WAS WORKING AS WELL.

 + -1 moreSUPERIOR DID A GREAT JOB. THEY WERE VERY TIMELY AND DID MORE THEN I EXPECTED TO HAVE DONE FOR THE PRICE. MR. LEWIS WAS VERY POLITE, NEAT AND HELPFUL. HE GAVE ME INFORMATION TO HELP KEEP MY UNIT RUNNING AND IN GOOD SHAPE FOR A LONG TIME TO COME. HE DID NOT LEAVE ANY MESS BEHIND FOR ME TO CLEAN UP.
Description of Work: START-UP MAINTENANCE FOR OUR AIR CONDITIONER. CHANGE FILTERS, CLEANING COIL OUT SIDE, CHECK COMPRESSOR, RUN IN HEAT AND COOL TO CHECK STAT.
