Our garage door spring broke on a Saturday morning when the door was closed. We knew that we could wait until the regular work week for the repair. R & S Garage Doors responded early on Monday morning after we left a message on the weekend. They were able to schedule our repair for that afternoon. The initial estimate for spring and cable replacements was given verbally on the phone after they asked us for some basic info about the door. The actual cost was right on. The work was done efficiently, the worker was friendly and we are back to being able to access our garage with very little hassle.

They are very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. I would use them again.

They were on time, reasonably priced and did a good job. The only problem we had was that the woman on the phone who scheduled the appointment was kind of rude. But the people who actually did the work were great.

I found my experience with this company exceptional, as everyone from the young lady who took my call to the technician who came out to my home were all professional and seem to make it their priority to expeditiously help me with my needs. I had a handyman look at my garagedoor opener prior to calling R & S and he informed me that the gears were shot; that is why the door would not open. I called R & S and the young lady on the phone was very helpful in trying to assist me in figuring out exactly what services I needed. Not knowing anything about garage door openers except how to push the button on the remote, she was very kind and went out of her way to help me understand the various reasons that my garage door wouldn't open, without being condescending. The appointment that she set up was within the next couple of days. The service man who came out was right on time and immediately noticed the problem, which was not the gears at all. He could have charged me a lot of money but explained very simply and clearly why the opener wasn't working. He also explained to me that the garage door opener was made well and should last me for a long time. He charged me $35.00 for the quick service call. I asked him if he had another garge door opener (which I had been meaning to buy for some time). He had one (even though my unit was an older one) and programmed it quicky. I was very impressed with his knowledge and efficiency. I will only use these folks when I have to have my garage door opener replced. Outstanding service experience!

Overall this was a very good repair. As described above all individuals were on time and prices were reasonable and customary. They replaced the prior broken unit with a new one. Further, they were clean and on time. They took a considerable amount of time to explain all the aspects of the system to my wife while I was not home which is a very strong sign of respect for the customer. I find it amazing that often repair personnel from other companies treat the female spouse as something less than technical than the male spouse. In this case, we did not experience this at all.

Door only went up 1/3 way; thought I'd need a new motor or door. Service call fixed everything for $79.

Well, one problem with a track that the door runs on was the wrong size, but it was realized before the crew installed it and the correct track size was found.

Everything was great from the information provided when deciding which door and motor to go with, the on time installation, service personnel were great and the removal of the old door went without a hitch. I would highly recommend going to R&S over other hardware stores. These folks know their products and can answer your questions unlike other hardware stores.

The work performed was very professional from start to finish. The quote came back in range and competitive with other firms bids. The work on the day of was accurate (they said finish by 1:30, they finished by 1:45), they fixed all the issues with my current garage door motor as well including remounting the motor with stronger mounts. The workers were very courteous and professional. They explained to me whatever I asked about and they also were willing to listen and implement a few ideas I had about 'ease of use' for future maintenance. They opened and closed the door multiple times to ensure that the garage had a good seal even beyond my expectations.

The front office seems perfectly competent, and the field tech I work with is great. He knows what he is doing, and does it on time and to a high standard.

Turns out the door was never installed correctly from the beginning, and with some minor adjustments, the motor purrs like a kitten and it goes up effortlessly now. Brendan was there on time, and boy, he really knew his stuff! It was fixed within 2 more business days for only $132, and at tax time, that's a real blessing! I'd call R & S again in a heartbeat and so should YOU.

The employees from them were very polite & courteous. They showed up on time & were quick to get the job done. They were very professional while doing the work. I was happy with the price range they offered. They did a good job cleaning up after themselves & were prompt in getting the job started.

I had a problem with THE overhead garage door, so I called R & S. They have done work for my husband at the apartments we own & he's been pleased with their work ethic. They were fair, honest, & fix things quickly. I thought the price of $100 was fair based on how quick they came out & the time involved in fixing the overhead garage door. I would recommend them to others, for sure.
