Due to us relocating, my husbands company's relocation department outsourced this moving company. The process was very complicated, however, we expected it. In regards to the actual move, the van driver and two staff members came on August 22nd to start packing the house. They were working fro 10a.m. until 4p.m. the first day and came back at 8:00a.m. on the second day. Everything seemed to be going well on the first day as my husband, son, his girlfriend and myself tried to watch the movers as they worked. We weren't allowed to pack anything because if it broker, the moving company wouldn't be responsible. The staff was friendly and probably worked too fast for our liking. Any belongings that weren't in your hands were packed immediately. For example, our sneakers, phones, etc. We were still living out of the house on the first night and realized things we needed for dinner were packed so we had to search boxes. Since we were flying out of state after the house was empty, we had to leave our luggage out, stuffing it with things we didn't want packed. It wasn't until the second day that things got out of control, especially in the garage and in some of the rooms in the house that they didn't finish on the first day. We didn't realize what happened until we finally moved into our new house a month later and had to deal with the poor packing method. The movers at our new home bringing in boxes non-stop and we were trying to check them off on a sheet while directly the movers where to put the boxes. Very hectic. They finished in a few hours. What really made us unhappy was that the movers from the old house just through many of the garage items in a big bin. This included our $400 vacuum cleaner. We noticed half of my husbands toolbox was empty, and some tools never made it to the new house. The worse part is that even though the boxes were labeled for certain rooms, when you opened them, items from a different room were in their. It was very frustrating trying to unpack when you really didn't know what was in the boxes. The crew on the West coast probably became lazy and started throwing stuff in any boxes. I still can't find some things, hoping, maybe they are in a different box. Casters from carts are lost. The way the crew packed the house was total chaos. We have moved many times throughout 26 years and this was the worse experience every. I told my husband if we ever move again, I'm doing the packing. My recommendation is that if you use this outfit to personally mark the boxes yourself or code them accordingly. Otherwise, you won't find what you need.
Description of Work: The movers packed our house on the first day and loaded the van on the second day.
