New Century Marble & Granite

We had the entire first floor of our home tiled by New Century. Joe Ursini came out to our home to discuss a plan in advance, he did several drawings for us to work through the tile design and he gave us an itemized quote so we knew exactly what to expect and when to expect it. The crew was courteous, communicated what was happening with us through the entire project, and came back to work through finishing touches at our request. The experience was fantastic - we got exactly what we wanted and are completely satisfied with the job and craftsmanship.

They did a fine job with the marble installation. Everything went great until they got to the plumbing work and installation of the sink. They literally put in the wrong sink. I have a contract which had the type of sink to be installed. They put in a 15 inch sink instead of putting in a 19 inch one. It fell and the water overflowed. They then tried to tell us that it was our fault and they tried to blame us. They made insulting remarks about our age. So it wasn?t pleasant. They said that they were sorry for us since we were so old. A friend recommended them to me. They are very good with the stone work and the fabrication. They didn?t get back to me in a timely manner and they weren?t pleasant. They were punctual. Some of them were professional and the owner was totally unprofessional. I would not use their services again.

Measuring and granite selection went very well. Though we didn't get prompt updates about the progress. I had to keep calling to get the status of our project. During initial installation, I had to keep an eye on the installers. In one case they were going to leave the seam at the sink so that the two pieces weren't level. In addition, the cut out for the under mount sink was not exact to the sink we had, leading to an uneven reveal around the sink. I had the sink for measurement, but they declined to take it with them. They did the best they could, but it was clear that they should have taken the sink with them for the cut out instead of relying on the paper template that came with the sink. After initial installation it took three more trips out to finish the job because back splash and trim pieces were not correct. They cut one backslash piece three times before it was correct.

New Century was very helpful in finding and ordering the tile. The removed the old tile and installed the new tile. They showed up on time for the appointment to complete the work. They did a great job of cleaning up each day. They did a great job installing the new tile and we are very happy with their work.
