Description of Work: They vacuumed out the old insulation, looked for & fixed any rodent entry points both in the attic & under the house in the crawlspace, sanaiatized attic & blew in up to code new insulation.

Description of Work: They did what I asked for was a pest inspection and the proceeded to try and sell me $4,000 worth of services that I did not want without solving the pest issue. I liked the team that came. Found them very professional. |I wanted to know if we had a rodent problem and if they could fix it. They let me know we did have a rodent problem and proceed to try and sell me an insulation package without solving the rodent problem.

Description of Work: They poked around my house a little~not much. They didn't look on the roof at all. They were very polite and professional but did not do a thorough inspection. All of the things they did were things I can do and have done, plus much more. It felt like they came in, looked around a bit and said, "Yes, you have rats, and there's really nothing we can do. Try setting traps."

Description of Work: They removed old insulation and remove, from a prior installation by another contractor,the incorrectly installed radiant barrier. They cleaned, vacuumed and sanitized the bare attic floor space, sealed all animal/rodent entry points. They blew in R-30 insulation. They were very efficient and clean in their operation. No residual dust/removed materials left in our home. I gave an 'A'bfor overall. I gave 'B' rating for price, after looking at other similar installations, the price seemed about 10% over priced from other Angie's list contractors. However, we are happy with the overall job. They were very prompt and professional in operation.

Description of Work: Initially I used an Angie's deal to have them check the crawl space. The guy who came went down and after a few minute came back up to say that everything looked good. He then offered to check the attic. When he came down he said he had found signs of recent rodent droppings even though my house was less than 10 years old and should have been built with no rodent access points. He said that a) the entire insulation in my attic had to be replaced and the holes found and plugged, and b) he just happened to have a crew available that afternoon. His price started closer to $5,000, but miraculously dropped the more I was uncertain about proceeding. I was recovering from a serious illness at that point and maybe because of that I finally succumbed to his not so subtle pressure and agreed to have them do the work that day. His team arrived, none of them speaking any English, and he disappeared. Some hours later after they were gone he reappeared. When I asked him what they found in terms of the source of the rodents he mumbled something about 3 holes which they plugged. He never showed me so much as a sample of rodent soiled insulation or a photo of the holes they found pre or post plugging. Maybe the work they did was necessary, maybe not. Maybe they did a good job, maybe not. I was not physically capable of climbing up into the attic to check, but he could have used his phone to show me pictures. I've rated them so low because of the high pressure tactics, the failure to show me proof of the rodent droppings they found, and the failure to show me proof that they actually corrected anything.

Description of Work: There is no way to say anything critical about the $49 home inspection. It was exactly as promised. The technician checked all attic space and the crawl space under the house and provided feedback on insulation, rodent activity, etc. The guy who came to our house was polite and professional and didn't waste any time and just got to it. | |As others indicated the bill for doing exactly what they would ideally have you do was pretty high. But there is nothing making you do any of the work or do the work exactly as they recommend it. You could piece meal it if you wanted or do nothing. So if the price puts you off just don't commit to working with them until you get other offers. It seemed like that would be "no hard feelings" for them. | |So for a good survey of your situation I think it was $49 well spent.

Description of Work: I purchased an inpection package from them. The two man team visited the attic and crawl spaces, took pictures and explained the issues to me. Their quote for the follow up work was nearly $1000 without trapping and cleanup. Gathering second opinions, which are all lower.

Description of Work: this was a promotion, Atticare surely doesn't make money on it, and they were clearly doing this just to drum up business. But they were very efficient, went up into our attic and down into our crawl space, took pictures in record time. The B in responsiveness is only because both in person and I believe also by email I requested that they email us the photos taken so that I could show these to my housemate who couldn't be here for their visit, but there was no reply to this request, no photos to look at except during the visit. It was basically, "if you don't want to sign up right now for our $5000 special attic cleaning and re-insulating thing at our special discount good today only, then, bye, catch us if you can, we're in a hurry". That is understandable, their visit was practically a freebie, but ya know, be in not quite such a hurry and you get the A. My impression was that they would indeed perform their attic clean/reinsulate service in a very efficient and professional way, and when we feel able to make that expenditure we will probably call them.

Description of Work: The inspection was thorough - both attic and crawl space. I knew we had had animals in both areas. The cleanup was a bigger pricier project of course, but needed to be done. All insulation was vacuumed out and new insulation installed. Access points to both areas were resealed. Big job - took all day with several staff. $5,000. Glad it's done!
