Description of Work: We got a good price through Angie's List to inspect our insulation. The inspector was a very nice young man but the result was a very hard sell for insulation that even he said we really didnt need. He even used the old tactic of "we've got a crew who can do th work tomorrow at a reduced price". We really didnt appreciate it. We just wanted the inspection and not the pitch.

Description of Work: They didn't really do anything... Was hoping they could help with opossums we have living in our roof/attic and they weren't really ably to help with that. They just looked for mouse holes which wasn't really important to us. Had to call another company for the critters in our attic. The fact tech was really nice, but service name is a miss nomen.

Description of Work: I phoned this company to have a crawlspace/attic cleaned up above the garage. Upon arrival, I was told my space was "too small" for them to bother with, although they still offered to do some minor housekeeping, which I declined. I got the feeling they are primarily interested in more complex, extensive work such as insulation, and not merely a clean-up. However, their service description does say cleaning, which is why I phoned them.

Description of Work: They had little traps and no bait..placed them in 2 locations without bait..no follow up until i called and complained

Description of Work: The add said that they would put out 8 Bait stations. They put out 8 mouse traps. This is for rats. They did not give me as estimate of the cost to replace the screens covering the vents and wanted me to have them clean, fix the vents and put down a layer of foam.

Description of Work: Completely cleaned crawl space and sealed against rats. Installed new duct work. Vacuumed the space under house and installed a moisture barrier. All ordours gone.

Description of Work: They gave great advice on how to get rid of a rat, how to avoid getting ripped off and they sealed up the crawl space beneath my house.

Description of Work: Jim came a week ago, and was very thorough in ridding our house of any sign of rodents. He closed holes, replaced insulation, and sanitized our sub area, attic area over garage, and upper attic under roof. We are very happy with Atticare!

Description of Work: They put steel mesh wire over some ceiling holes. They did not put out bait or traps. My son caught one mouse with a trap. I put poison between our buildings. I think they should be checking back with me, not waiting for me to phone them. I also think they should be putting out traps (though we have only caught one mouse with a trap and we have put out 4 -5 traps of great variety, including electric traps.

Description of Work: According to the Angie's list sales pitch, this was suppose to be a service that determined where I had issues with air coming into my home. There was suppose to be specialized testing done with equipment. When the person came to my home, they didn't even know what they were there to do. When I gave them the description of service, they told me they didn't bring the equipment and it didn't matter anyway, because they could just "tell" what my issues were by looking in my attic. I did not receive a report with this equipment. They said they would have to schedule it again if I really needed it, and I felt like it was just a waste of my time. I would not purchase this service again from Atticare as they can look at your attic insulation for free to give you a quote. That was not what I was looking for at all. I was looking really at other areas of my home.

Description of Work: Because I am a renter I had to defer to my landlord regarding the service. However the rep was EXTREMELY thorough in his assessment of our issue and provided a quote right then and there. It was very comprehensive and priced better than many other providers I have seen for a similar issue. I WISH we could have used the services as we are still battling the problem in a much less desirable way

Description of Work: Hi, I purchased this deal because your site clearly said: "Deal also includes installation of up to 8 rodent baiting stations in safe and hidden areas of your home to eliminate any existing activity" The service person only offered small spring-loaded mousetraps. Leaving aside the question whether a simple, most basic mouse trap is a "baiting station," which seems to be overpromising what was offered, the key problem was that my issue is rats, rather than mice, and small mousetraps would not work. So I didn't have him place any. Since the service was not as described, I am requesting a full refund. Thank you.

Description of Work: Took out all of the insulation in my 3 attics, vacuumed them, and sterilized them. They worked hard for their money. Took away all the garbage too.

Description of Work: A very nice young man came and told me just about everything I already new. He was equipped with tiny mouse traps, an absurdity. He crawled around the basement and attic and saw some droppings but I'd already covered the easy to see access points and nothing new was learned about where the rats are getting in. Finally, it seemed to be an excuse from trying to see Atticare insulation.

Description of Work: I had squirrels in my attic and was desperate to get rid of them, so I paid 2500 dollars for one day of work. Atticare came out at least twice but did not resolve my problem. They would take photos and tell me they took care of it but I could hear the squirrels running around. My home owners association took care of the problem finally.
