Overall experience is positive except for one thing. They ran out of a piece of the backsplash and it took a couple of tries to get it. May be they should have sent someone to actually measure the existing countertop and this problem could have been avoided. This is the only challenge I faced. The crew was professional and helpful. The clean up was done quickly and the work was performed as estimated.

I went to the store location to see their products and get an idea on an approximate cost to do my kitchen countertop. I talked to a sale representative, walked around their floor, gave her a layout of my kitchen with dimensions, my name and contact information so she could let me know some cost figures which she said she would. No reply, no call back, no contact, nada, nothing, zip.

We selected prefabbed granite slabs and a sink and faucet at their facility. The installers arrived on time but took a lot of time getting started. They did not have enough drop cloths or dust barriers with them. They started on another project before finishing ours and what was supposed to take one day and maybe a second to finish up was going to drag out over the entire week. When we put our foot down they finally finished in three days, but did not do as good a job as they could have buffing and polishing the edges after they were done. However, ultimately they did a good job and the granite looks really good and overall workmanship was quite good. A little better planning on their part and it could have been a great experience dealing with them.

Helen (owner) and Maria provided fantastic support to me and my wife throughout our engagement with them. Maria helped us with the complete backsplash design, and patiently worked with my wife on recommending and selecting the materials we required for our bathroom and kitchen remodel. They were very sensitive to our needs, and extremely responsive whenever we reached out. All our materials came in on-time, and for the most part we had the right amount. In one case, they were short some bullnose tiles, and had to re-order them, but it wasn't a huge impact on the schedule. We had some problems during installation. The granite installers mis-measured our island slabs twice. The cuts were off. We worked with Helen in getting a hold of new pieces of granite, and fortunately, they had extra slabs that they allocated to us right away. This certainly costed them much more than they originally projected in materials, but were gracious about making things right. I felt like the smooth experience we had through the selection and materials ordering process broke down a little bit during installation of the granite, however, they responded very well, with minimal impact to the schedule. Overall, we are very pleased with our experience working with Artistic Stone, and love the final product. Even our general contractor who interacted with Artistic Stone was impressed with their services and professionalism, and was going to recommend them for some of his other jobs. We would definitely highly recommend Artistic Stone to anyone interested in kitchen and bath remodels.

I chose a sample of granite only to find out they had sold out. I returned another day to make another choice and found my original choice in the remnant section. The cost was only $200 but then I chose to have a different edging which uped the price. Excellent customer service in regards to the installation date and time. They worked with my contractor to assure the timing was correct and gave me a very small window of time so we were not waiting around for delivery. They kept in touch with us by cell phone so we would know their exact arrival time. Very good customer service at the store compared to other businesses.

I wanted to remodel my kitchen on a strict budget. I checked around online, and liked the Artistic Stone website. At the store, Maria was very helpful and informative and I found granite that I really liked. One thing I especially appreciated was that they have a display of "acceptable" and "unacceptable" seams, so you know what your expectation should be. I contacted the store several weeks later to make sure that the sink I had ordered would work - Maria was out, but the person covering for her was just as responsive and helpful. When the installers came, they called first to say they were en route, and even arrived a little earlier than planned. I was very impressed with the fact that they put movers' quilts down on my floor to protect it before pulling the stove out. They were efficient and professional, careful of my kitchen, and did a great job cleaning up. The counter and new sink look beautiful. I highly recommend the whole Artistic Stone team..

My final price was higher than I was hoping, and their finishing prices are just as outrageous as that of everybody else. The impression that we gain a large saving due to their square foot price is not significant as one might hope. They have a decent granite yard, but they lack a larger selection. They are going to install my counter tops soon. One thing I do like about them is that they have a short period between when we tell them we want them and when they can come and install. They give a notice period of 2-3 days, which is very good for a contractor. They charged me $2000. If I wasn?t using them, I might be paying closer to $3500 or $4000.

Artistic Stone was hired to replace Formica kitchen countertops with granite. At every step of my transaction, Artistic Stone's associates were professional, dependable and reliable. My plans to sell my home required that I renovate and update my kitchen. I decided to replace 40 year old Formica kitchen countertops with granite. After researching 12 companies, I found Artistic Stone to have the best price for top quality stone, fastest installation and most dependable and reliable team. It was critical that I work with the best company I could find because I had to negotiate my project long distance. Since I reside in Denver, CO and my home was in Northern California, I needed to work with professionals who would produce excellent results without direct supervision. Within 90 minutes of landing at Oakland International airport, I had arrived at the San Leandro facility, chosen my stone slab as well as shared my kitchen design and measurements. I emailed one small change and mailed the signed contract via overnight delivery mail service. Details were communicated via email, phone or fax. Further, no one was at my home when the granite countertops were installed as I was in Colorado. During installation, however, Artistic Stone emailed several photographs to me documenting the installation process. When visiting my Northern California home 1 week after installation, I found BEAUTIFUL countertops waiting for me. Artistic Stone did an EXCELLENT job of fabricating my countertops on site. The seams were extremely narrow and hardly noticeable. From my granite selection, the installation team considered the physical granite characteristics of each slab when fabricating the stone in order to complement the kitchen architecture. The result is granite countertops and edges that were smooth, even and beautiful. It was hard to avoid touching the countertops constantly because they were so beautiful. During my complete home renovation project, Artistic Stone was one of my top two vendors. My project manager/architect was the other vendor. I researched Artistic Stone's company capabilities, products, stone quality, customer service, project results and Better Business standings. Most importantly, I trusted Artistic Stone to do a good job and they did not let me down. I will DEFINITELY work with Artistic Stone again on another existing rental renovation project. I will DEFINITELY recommend their products and services. Anytime you can successfully work with a company while being 1200 miles away, you have a winner!! My sincere appreciation to Artistic Stone. I wish there were more companies like you in this country!!

Overall I am very pleased with the services & would work with this company again. Helen Wen was my sales representative & she was service-oriented & proactive from the start to the finish. She let me know what granite types were on sale & when I visited the showroom in San Leandro to make a selection, she was insistent that we view all available pieces to make the best selection from available inventory, bringing in two workers & heavy equipment to make it all possible. Further, Artistic Stone provided a cozy play area which helped to entertain my children while my husband & I took care of business. The company was willing to match a bid I had from a competitor, knocking a few hundred dollars off their initial quotation. The installation team arrived earlier than promised & put in a full day's work. One of the installers, frankly, rubbed me the wrong way & I spent most of the day away from the house so I would not need to interact with him. At the end of the day, my husband & I went to the house to check on the installation & noted a couple of gaps between the granite & the wall, measuring about 1/2 inch at the largest. When I mentioned this concern to the installer, he said the wall was curved, and he fabricated a small piece to fill in the gap where it would be most visible: at the opposite side of the peninsula where people sit to eat. He said that the tile backsplash would cover the other gaps. However, the person installing the new tile backsplash subsequently told me the gaps would not be fully covered & told me the additional cost to compensate for the gaps. When I presented this information to Artistic Stone, they offered to credit me 60% of the additional cost. While I had hoped for 100%, I do respect that Artistic Stone addressed my concern with real dollars; not every company would do that. I am satisfied with the resolution. Here's what's most important: the countertops are gorgeous! They look beautiful in my new kitchen & I am delighted & I will hire this company again when I'm ready to tackle bathroom upgrades. Also, they left behind a large piece of granite that was not used during installation, so I can make use of it in my powder room if suitable.

Best pricing I could find. Good communication and support from start to finish. The crew listened to all of my requests regarding the installation, took their time, and did a good job. Make sure you visit the warehouse to choose the exact pieces you want. Also make sure your cabinets are really going to work with a granite slab. For example if the cabinets previously had tile countertops, the granite may sit too high and not look good.

They told me they had a $500 minimum to come out. I have other rooms to do as well, but did not want to do those rooms at that time. They were unwilling to do the work because of the minimum charges.

We went in and chose our granite from the warehouse. We had heard that you could get a deal on leftover pieces of granite. The salesman Mike took us exactly where we wanted to go. He did not try to sell us anything more expensive than we asked for. He was very accommodating and helpful. Everyone in the warehouse was. We hadn't gone in with the plan to buy, but since it was such a good deal and they made it such a pleasant experience, we went ahead and just purchased. They followed up with a call. They made sure the appointment with the installers was good for us. The installers were right on time (Julian and Daniel) They were polite, neat and very professional. They did a great job. My countertops look terrific. I would definitely recommend this company to friends.

ARTISTIC STONE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL RIGHT FROM THE START. THEY RETURNED ALL PHONE CALLS IN A TIMELY MANNER. THEY WERE NEAT AND CLEAN. HAD GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. THE WORK WAS HIGH QUALITY.
