Description of Work: "I used this company to refinish my wood floors. They did everything necessary to do the job. They moved the heavy furniture out of the way. Then they had someone remove every staple and nail that was sticking out of the floor. Then they sanded, vacuumed, and covered the floor with three coats of polyurethane. After everything dried, they moved the heavy furniture back & fastened the tall bookcases firmly to the wall. | |The floors look much better now and they almost glow. Description of Work: They cleaned tile in one room, plus the entryway. They re-stained the grout and sealed it. | |The floors look good, but I feel like the price is way too high. Also, I'm concerned perhaps they didn't clean the room as well as they could, so I would have to incur several hundred dollars of additional costs to get my grout stained. I wish I had understood the process better when booking the job, and perhaps the salesperson could have explained it better. I encourage everyone to compare prices carefully before choosing a provider. | |Also, they over-charged me for the job, with the billing person making a mistake. They tried to over-charge me by several hundred dollars. I had to call and point out their "mistake".

Description of Work: I called to schedule an estimate and the scheduler informed me the minium fee would be $500.00 regardless of the job. That seemed really over the top without even knowing how little or how much work needed to be done.

 + -1 moreI returned from home after the job was done and my husband and I could literally could not tell whether any work had been done at all. The granite looked just as dull as before and the grout still looked exactly the same--and they had charged us $500 for this! I could have done a better job myself.
Description of Work: Appleby Stone Restoration held themselves out as being able to polish and seal granite and other stone counter tops. We needed a ten-year old granite counter top in our kitchen polished. They said it would take several hours and they would do detailed work cleaning the grout between the granite tiles.
