Description of Work: I've used an Angie's deal to repair my air conditioner last year. This year my furnace wouldn't kick on. I again purchased an Angie's deal and made an appt. Jim, their service manager, came at the beginning of the windowed timeframe, checked out my unit and determined it needed a new master control board. It was too late to go back to the warehouse so I made another appt for the same timeframe the next day. Once again, Jim appeared on time and quickly installed the board and made sure the unit was working properly. Jim was professional, trustworthy, knowledgeable, didn't leave behind a mess or dirt. I would use them again and refer to my neighbors and co-workers.

Description of Work: it was ok. tech was most interested and stressed to high heaven what he would not do, what this did not cover, what was not warranteed. i got it early on and asked him to proceed as if there was no coupon or previous offer made.just as if this were a "cold call". he ultimately did what i asked him to do, notwithstanding the offer i had responded to which got him to my house. i really just wanted him to check the refrigerant pressure, which had not been topped off for about 7 years, and to bring it up to the appropriate pressure. he tolsd me he couldn't guarantee his work w/o doing a full leak search of the entire house (3000sf, 1story, that's a lot of attic to cover) and he needed to check if my forced air heater was impacting the performance of the a/c. it took abou 1 1/2 hrs to get to this point and my wife and i had to be somewhere else. he couldn't come back w/o recharging us $. so, he did insist on taking apart the outside part of the a/c, taking it completely apart w/ pieces around him on the ground, checking the electrical, cleaning every piece, putting everything up and back together, looking in the attic at the heater to make sure it was safe. i should be more appreciative of all the trouble he took (i was while he was here), but ultimately the a/c only needed a few lbs. of refrigerant, and it's running just great, which is really all I asked him for. It would have gone better if he had understood that i wanted him to start and finish at point D, w/o him going thru points A,B,C and points E,F, and G. But it's hard to complain too much really about guy being conscientious and thorough in his work, although I ended up paying the coupon amount plus the refrigerant cost, when all I wanted was the refrigerant.Oh well. That's a B in my book.
