Kessler Bull's crew had to work around another contractor who was installing interlocking pavers. Scott's crew was great. They came in after demolition of the old slab, put the posts in place before the pavers got installed and then returned after the other job was completed, to install the fence and gate. onto the posts. We were very happy with their flexibility and with the finished fence and gate. 

The guy who performed the estimate did not do the work.  The bid he gave was competitive and he was knowledgeable, but the worker who actually did the work seemed to have just been trained on a nail gun and had no idea how to choose proper, quality wood for the job.  During installation we noticed that the planks were uneven at ground level and cut poorly; in addition the wood was sitting atop the ground which in southern california creates an interstate for termites.  Three days after installation we noticed "gapping" in what was designed to be a privacy fence - the planks were thin and shrank as they dried.  Three days after we saw the gapping, we got a slight drizzle which caused many of the cheap planks to curl and buckle.  The fence door was not steady and didn't properly line up to the latch post, which meant unless slammed, the door didn't latch and swayed open, dangerous for a pool entry.  The trim finish, next to the fence's 2x4 cap piece, was cobbled together in places with short scrap pieces, creating a messy look.  A couple of these pieces were attached with a single nail and as the fence shrank the trim dangled out of line.  We called the contractor back to make fixes,  he obliged after explaining that he had no way of controlling the quality of the wood in today's market place.  The repairs amounted to replacement of a several warped planks the "tightening" of boards and re-hanging the door.  The fence continued to degrade, so we hired a new contractor who made quality fixes, replaced planks and stabilized the door.  We cancelled the deck build we had awarded this company and enlisted the new contractor.

They came out and gave a quote in January, but our neighbor wasn't ready to proceed with the fence work at the time.  Once they were ready, we had Kessler scheduled to come out, and they would still honor the quoted price.  The whole side fence was demolished and new fence was installed in 3 days.  The new fence and gates look awesome.  Quality materials were used and they left the job site clean.

They also did extra work by removing some conrete and stone fragments that was around the original fence, as well as remove a section of unwanted fence.

Was very happy that they were able to stay on schedule and meet the originally scheduled start date.
